Morning All!

Hope everyone is keeping well. I'm struggling keep up with the board atm! Lol

Congrats Olivers! So nice to hear your positive news. Keeping everytging crossed for you x

We had our sexing scan last night and are having a little girl! Sooo happy! Gringot some great pics printed off, a dvd of the scan, and a usb stick with 23 pics on, all for £35!

16 + 6 today

phoebe2016 · 10/01/2017 06:28

Forgot to add a pic! Bubba was very active, saw her opening her mouth, wriggling around like mad and sliding down the uterus, was lovely!

Aw what a lovely scan Phoebe

I've been doing some very research into Moses baskets etc and I liked the idea of a snuzpod, however when I looked at them in the store we noticed the metal bar at the top of the side you put down which would be impractical to remove at night. Anyone else have one or looking at getting one and can tell me if this bar stays in all the time the sides up? Sorry probably a very silly question, but I still like them and my DH is put off by the bar.

RoseBud2016 · 10/01/2017 06:58

Baby We've bought one and the bar is removable. So when you attach it to the bed, the bar unscrews leaving the side attached only by the zips and the velcro so it's really quick to put up and down.

TravelLoverAndDucky · 10/01/2017 07:49

Baby - we put our Snuzpod together last night and the instructions actually say to remove the bar if you use it as a bedside crib and have it secured to your bed.

Hello! Not been on here for a while!

Just dropping in to say congratulations to oliversmummy! I often think about how you and the other ladies who dropped out of the group are doing, so it's lovely to hear you've had another bfp. X

I'm 18+1 today and I'm off for my 16 wk midwife appt this morning! I'm hoping she'll let me hear a heartbeat today. Baby was super wriggly last night!

Then this afternoon we're off to a mamas and papas personal shopper experience, where we will hopefully order our pram system, car seat and nursery furniture! Very excited Grin although nervous about the mw appt as I'm hoping baby is doing ok after my low Papp-a and hcg results before Christmas.

I've just started reading up about co-sleeping, found some interesting articles on Pinterest. Dp is adamant baby will go straight into cot in its own room as that's how dsd and dss were brought up. I'm still undecided.

VeganMama83 · 10/01/2017 09:44

Dizzy show dp the guidelines re: baby co sleeping (co sleeping is sharing a room, bed sharing is as the name suggests) as baby is meant to stay in the room with you for all sleeps until at least 6m. This is to reduce the SIDS risk. Baby needs to hear you breathing to help regulate their own breathing xx

Not telling you how to suck eggs btw dizzy, I'm sure you know all that 😘

I didn't realise that co-sleeping meant sharing a room. You learn something new every day.

Well I am on day one of my slapped cheek exile. Got up and got dd of to cm and though "I'll just have a wee lie down" an hour and a half later I drag myself up! What a lazy mare.

RoseBud2016 · 10/01/2017 13:30

Dizzy my DH said the same as my DSDs were put straight into their cots. I have said I don't feel comfortable doing that, and since buying the snuzpod he has come completely around to my way of thinking.

You've got to do whatever feels right for you x

Walkerbean16 · 10/01/2017 17:17

I love the snuzpod and was hoping to get one but there is a post on aibu at the minute saying theirs is covered in mould underneath the mattress and when they Googled it found it was a common problem so now I'm not sure?!

I have my 20 week scan tomorrow, so excited!!

ymmv · 10/01/2017 20:47

oh hang on, so daytime sleeping is supposed to be in the same room as you as well?

Passmethecrisps · 10/01/2017 20:55

ymmv I think the recommendation is that babies do all their sleeping in the same room as you. So when dd1 was tiny I would have her asleep in the Moses basket on the living room floor. I would potter into the kitchen and do a bit of cleaning but she was in essence with me all the time until she was 6 months old.

ymmv · 10/01/2017 22:19

ta crisps good to know.

MumofthreeandBean · 11/01/2017 08:02

I love the idea of these snuzpods but with two that will be a squeeze so I plan to have a cotbed next to my bed, drop one side and have the twins in together for a while.

I have my 20 week scan tmw, apparently it can take between 1-1.5 hours with twins!

20.2

Walkerbean16 · 11/01/2017 20:38

I had my 20 week scan today, I was in there for nearly an hour altogether as baby was curled up in a ball and she couldn't get the right measurements! She had me tilted upside down, on one side, over to the other, going for a walk, having a drink then going back in! She got what she needed in the end and noticed that my placenta was low lying so I then had to go back in for an internal scan where she found the placenta is blocking my birth canal so I will need to go for more scans to see if it moves, fingers crossed! We asked for the baby's sex and found out we are having a little girl!

Passmethecrisps · 11/01/2017 20:50

Lovely news walker

MumofthreeandBean · 12/01/2017 07:59

Nightmare scan walker, hope placenta moves for you xx

FrizzBombDelight · 13/01/2017 09:53

I have my 20wk scan next week and have suddenly gone from a chill-mum-to-be to panicking about all the things that can go wrong Sad Google is not my friend.

ymmv · 13/01/2017 10:42

Step away from google! Remember the wait for 12 weeks, it's the same. Chances of anything being wrong are small. breathe. listen to some nice tunes, stroke your belly.

Mrs5boys · 13/01/2017 10:43

Yes stay away from google 😬😬😬 I'm starting to realise I will find no reassurance there , it's a scary place 🤓🤓

FrizzBombDelight · 13/01/2017 11:07

I started off by being curious about what they actually check for and it spiralled! I can feel my positivity dipping badly so I know I need to make a conscious effort to rectify that.

VeganMama83 · 13/01/2017 13:09

Yep google when you're worried about something isn't good. Xx

How did your scan go mum of three?

I too have gone from being chilled out to stressing after go ogling about low lying placenta complications!

Tried adding my scan pic but it doesn't seem to be working on my new phone.

I can't believe how quiet it is round here now, I'm not on fb so feel like I'm missing out!

MumofthreeandBean · 13/01/2017 16:39

walker it went very well thankyou. Both babies are growing normally, boy slightly bigger than girl. They are feet down facing each other 😊
