I'm 30 weeks today (forgot to add)

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 11:07

Not small at all! You look great! Not gonna lie you're in great shape and you've had 5..!!!!!

Nojo82 · 30/09/2016 11:14

At 26 weeks I was measuring 28 weeks. But i really dont think im that big. I think she measured my fat too lol. I am overweight so is it possible that its just not accurate?

Babydreaming · 30/09/2016 11:25

Bigfam I'm also 30weeks and your bump is definitely bigger than mine! I really don't think it's accurate when they measure your bump. I was told mine measured 2 weeks behind at 24 weeks but then was perfect at 28 weeks even though I don't think it grew that much more! I think it depends a lot on who is doing the measuring.

Babydreaming · 30/09/2016 11:26

Has anybody thought about doing a newborn photography session? I was considering it but its really expensive and I don't know if i'd regret it after! Has anyone done them before? I'm also wondering whether it would be better to wait till they are about 6 months and can sit up and smile more?

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 11:31

Nojo I think you're on the money. I really don't see how reliable it can be tbh

Bigfam · 30/09/2016 11:41

I've measured small in all my previous pregnancies and was sent for growth scans in 3 out of 4 (the only one I didn't have a growth scan for was my 4th and that's because I was only 3cm behind and I'd mentioned to my mw at the time about always measuring small) and I've yet to have a small baby, they've been 7lbs3oz 7lbs8oz 6lbs15oz & 8lbs3oz. I just feel small all of a sudden this morning Grin

Bigfam · 30/09/2016 11:42

Thanks for saying that Mozfan1 😊

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 11:58

I get what you're saying though I have 'big days' and 'small days' if that makes sense?! When I was 39 weeks I did not feel 'term' at all... It was very weird. Ds was 6 pounds 2 so he wasn't small or anything. You really do look great! I feel like a blob 😂

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 12:00

my friend was the same as you by the way, measured small and had an 8 pounder, just the way her uterus was when she layed down or whatever made it seem smaller- it's like some people's Babys are more 'at the front' if u know what I mean?? 😂

Popskipiekin · 30/09/2016 12:06

Lovely bumps ladies! People do carry totally differently. My DSIL measured small, carried small, baby was small-ish (5lbs12) but totally fine at 39 weeks. A friend of mine with apparently barely a bump on her had the most ginormous whopper :)))

And thank you for all the piles well-wishes! Blush these things do take over your life sometimes. And now I'm into the heartburn phase - oh the joys.

Babydreaming I actually did a maternity shoot first time round which was more for me/DH than anything else and I love the pictures from then. It came as a package with a newborn shoot but photographer was happy to wait till 4 months + and in fact said she liked doing shoots at that age as you get more of the personality then, smiles and everything. Up to you really as to which stage you want to capture. Dinky or not so dinky :)

Bigfam · 30/09/2016 12:13

Well you don't look one Mozfan
What weight is classed as small? I've never thought to ask..
I expect the real reason I feel small today is because I haven't had to waddle 3/4 of a mile to the school and back Grin (3 older dc have 4 days off) come tuesday I'll be a heffa again!

Bigfam · 30/09/2016 12:16

That sounds lovely Popskipiekin (the photoshoot, obviously not the piles & heartburn!) have you managed to find any relief yet?
I'm sure everyone's heard the old wives tale if you have really bad heartburn baby has loads of hair?

Nojo82 · 30/09/2016 12:17

bigfam your babies weights would be small for me lol. 8lb 10, 10lb 6 and 9lb 11. So a wee 7lb one would be nice.

Thisisbonkers · 30/09/2016 12:20

I felt huge at NCT class last night compared to the other ladies, and I'm one of the later ones 😳

31 week midwife appointment today. Everything fine and thinks the baby is now the right way up (so upside down!), it was breech three weeks ago!

Mine also had one kidney measure slight bigger at 20 weeks but it was still (just!) in the parameters so nothing more being done.

Bumplovin · 30/09/2016 12:24

Lovely bump pics, this is mine 29+1

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 12:28

Apparently low birth weight is anything under 5 pounds 8 Smile

If I eat protein that I can't eat a lot of like beans or something then I feel small but if I eat carbs I feel massive... Am I weird or what?!

Kitch82 · 30/09/2016 13:29

I'm measuring bang on for weeks but it doesn't stop nearly everyone passing comments ranging from 'wow, still 10 weeks to go' to 'that's such a neat little bump' I've no idea as this is number 1. So looks like I've done my last day at work until 2018. I've been signed off cos of my spd, I battled on with crutches for a few weeks but it's just not working, I'm completely knackered. Luckily my boss and colleagues were encouraging me to finish and they could see how uncomfortable I am and it's quite a stressful job in the NHS so no sleep and constant pain wasn't good. Just need to keep myself sane now for the next 10ish weeks as I can't get around very well. All suggestions welcome!

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 13:37

KitchFlowers

At least you can rest now, I'm having awful pelvic pain and lifting a 9 month old with it is a nightmare at times!

I always find a bath (if ds will nap for long enough) makes everything a bit less painful. And not staying in the same position too long. And some gentle stretches

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 13:38

Sorry that first sentence didn't come out right! I meant at least you can rest now you're off work. Then the thing about ds was separate! I wasn't trying to say I have it hard or something I'm sorry Blush oh god I'm digging holes for myself today!!!

Bigfam · 30/09/2016 14:05

Anyone had a 4d scan? I had one at 16 weeks but have seen how amazing they look when you're further along. I'm seriously thinking about booking one

StubbleTurnips · 30/09/2016 14:48

You all have lovely bumps, mine is huge. It is genuinely like a birthing ball has blown up under my top. I keep getting asked my due date.... It's feels like it's months away!!

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 14:51

Big I haven't ever had one but they look really cool!

Stubble I love the really sticky out bumps they are sooooo cute!

StubbleTurnips · 30/09/2016 15:04

It's far from cute, I am enormous Confused

I think it's less baby, more cake Grin Hmm

Mozfan1 · 30/09/2016 15:06

Don't worry stubble mine is at least 50% biscuits 😂
