bigfam I'd phone up and say you're going to talk to the nursing & midwifery council if you're not seen within the week. Good luck!

london mine was because of risk factors - which were bollocks! - they said DS was big (he was but he was also as over due as possible and still not over 9lb 10oz the supposed risk criteria!), and due to me being adopted - I was still adopted last time around and I wasn't checked then! God knows, I think they just wanted to stab me Grin

Babydreaming · 27/09/2016 17:37

I've noticed heavier discharge after sex, but it's always been clear/white and not huge amounts! I would ask your midwife/GP about it if it's changing colour?

I am considering buying the Angelcare AC401, reviews seem to be mainly positive on amazon/john lewis but i'm not sure! I don't know whether the movement/breathing sensors will make me more anxious. Does anyone have any experience with it? Good/bad opinions welcome!

Lovewatchingrainfall · 27/09/2016 17:54

Baby dreaming I have the older version and would not have been without it. You can also use it without the mat which is good. It put my mind at total ease but my daughter has have health issues. X

hi everyone random question?
does everyone's belly button pop out?
or does it depend if you have an innie or an outtie??
i have an innie belly button!

SolomanDaisy · 27/09/2016 19:36

Mine didn't pop last time and I don't think it looks like it will this time either. It's a lot shallower though, DS is fascinated by it!

goinggrey1978 · 27/09/2016 19:57

yes exactly what i've noticed SolomanDaisy, it's a lot shallower and easier to clean and has been for a while

Minispringroll · 27/09/2016 20:09

Mine's not popped out, yet. It's quite flat, though. I've had two laparoscopies in the last year, so just hope it will be ok and hold. Last lap was only a month before I found out I was pregnant.

SouthDownsSunshine · 27/09/2016 20:12

nojo I think you should get the discharge checked out, sounds like it could be your plug.

bigfam that's shocking! I'd seriously just rock up to triage!

My belly button is an innie. It's stretched thin but I don't think it'll pop out. It didn't with dd either.

Nojo82 · 27/09/2016 20:29

south it wouldnt need to be my plug. Im only 27+2 so id crap myself if it was..

My belly button has disappeared, its an innie.. really don't think it will pop..

TipBoov · 27/09/2016 20:38

I normally have a (very deep!) innie, which has got much shallower. Last pregnancy it just went very flat but didn't actually pop, so I'm hoping it's the same this time.

SouthDownsSunshine · 27/09/2016 20:49

I also hope it's not your plug nojo, you've had enough stress this pregnancy already x

Nojo82 · 28/09/2016 07:36

Another horrible nights sleep. Can only sleep side to side but its agony after only an hr or so. My whole side is going totally dead weight and its so sore. Any suggestions as to what i can do to help!!

SolomanDaisy · 28/09/2016 08:08

Have you got pregnancy pillows and a memory foam mattress topper nojo? Might help a bit, I get the deadweight thing too. I've got really swollen hands and feet too and during the night if my hands get stuck in one position they get quite painful. And every time I need to roll over, SPD wakes me up. Then last night I was awake for two hours with earache! I have as many minor complaints as an 80 year-old.

Babydreaming, is it your growth scan today? Good luck!

Nojo82 · 28/09/2016 08:27

Thanks solomon. No ive no pillows, i didnt get any coz i thought theres no point coz i turn so often and they would only keep me awake. I think i might just have to kick DH out lol..

Londonmamabychance · 28/09/2016 09:07

My belly button is an innie and its in its way out. Last time it popped completely, so expecting that again. It's quite annoying as it looks ridiculous under tight clothes! Grin

I got a memory foam topper last pregnancy and have been sleeping with it ever since, it's a life safer now this time around too as means that I don't get sore from sleeping all the time on the left side.

Londonmamabychance · 28/09/2016 09:09

So Nojo would really recommend a memory foam mattress topper as it won't move around when you move. Last time I couldn't sleep at all until I got it.

Babydreaming · 28/09/2016 09:43

Thanks Solomon, it's actually tomorrow! I wish it was today as I'm
Already nervous. Going to an antenatal yoga class tonight to try and relax before it!

My sleep isn't great either, I don't even know why I wake up but I just do around 4-5am and then have broken sleep til morning! The habits only just kicked in so really hoping it goes away again.

Mozfan1 · 28/09/2016 09:54

Hello! I'm feeling so ratty right now Angry had consultant appointment yesterday to talk about elective section. Told receptionist I'm here for 3pm app with blah blah and they did the usual 'do u have a sample?' I told them I had just been so I couldn't go again and a midwife that overheard jumped down my throat about it. Got a proper fucking telling off like I was in school or something. I was there with 9 month old ds so I said yes I'm aware of the routine but i wasn't going to piss myself just so I could provide you with a sample. She said 'you MUST every time you see the doctor' pretty sure they can't make me piss against my will Confused

Bumplovin · 28/09/2016 10:06

Has anyone any experience of an Nct close caboo sling? Ordered one and just looking at it it seems good watched a couple U tube videos about how to wear it but read a few things about the straps loosening with time.

Popskipiekin · 28/09/2016 11:10

Bumplovin yes I used a close parent caboo with DS1. After the first couple of goes found it super easy to wear, DH liked it too and DS was a huge fan! He quickly became a biiiig baby though and although it's supposed to go up to 14.5kg I really don't think it would have worked with him past 6 or so months. We moved to a more structured carrier after that. I would still recommend as it was easy, comfy, DS found it soothing and I didn't find the slipping problems - but maybe those comments are from people using with a larger child?

OrianaBanana · 28/09/2016 11:12

Mozfan they told me off about that as well despite me never having been asked to do it (so I'd just been for a wee as like you I was desperate) and not given any sample bottles in advance etc. Had to go to the loo and try and squeeze out a trickle (with DS watching critically) into the tube, bloody impossible. Of course I drank lots while I was waiting, then I was bursting after the appointment again.

Mozfan1 · 28/09/2016 11:12

ori what is it all about?! She made it sound like I had killed a kitten or something... It's just a bit of piss for gods sake

OrianaBanana · 28/09/2016 11:13

Feels weird to me to take a bottle of piss round with me in my handbag to routine appointments with consultants about booking me in for an extra scan just in case they want it (it was one of the most pointless appointments ever but no, they needed my wee for that too).

Mozfan1 · 28/09/2016 11:18

My appointment was bloody pointless anyway, the consultant booked me onto a birthing options talk as I want c section this time round but they booked me on a vbac course... Even though I confirmed it with them several times yesterday! Why, just why.
