I feel your pain nightcap. I was woken but the wind at 3am and didn't manage to get back to sleep. Then the toddler woke up at 4:30 thinking it was play time and was happy to tell me she wet the bed because she took her nappy off in the night. DH is off for the day to a Christening so think it might be a day in doors to recover.

Well I'm delighted as I got the Pram I wanted in the Fenwick warehouse sale yesterday with £300 off! Was worth getting up early to queue with the masses.

Gaaaah I've been so smug sleeping so well and then last night I had my down fall! Mr Lion and I are houseparents at a boarding school for children age 7-13 and our 70 boarders return tonight and don't leave until half term. I love them dearly but I also love my peace...wish me luck! At least I have an excuse not to help lug their trunks up the stairs!

Just a little message to make you laugh... On my return flight from Portugal today I was asked for my fit to fly note from the doctor. When I explained I didn't need one as I am only 24 weeks the lady looked horrified and asked if I was having twins, so rude!!

Grapefruit8 · 04/09/2016 17:06

Little question for you all...
Who has ordered their pram? We still haven't and I'm really thinking we must do it ASAP!

goinggrey1978 · 04/09/2016 17:19

Grapefruit8, yes ordered it the friday before bank holiday, along with the cotbed and travel cot, crib came a couple of weeks before, some of the travel system has already arrived and i'm just waiting on 2 more parcels to be delivered now, mothercare has a sale until the 21st of september and if you join their club you get discount vouchers as well, as i had £10 off as well

Lovewatchingrainfall · 04/09/2016 18:59

Random question. Has anyone lost their appetite?? I ate far more before I was pregnant then I do now. I have just sat down and realised I have not eaten since 9 this morning. People go on saying but you must always eat your pregnant and I get strange looks when I say no.

Minispringroll · 04/09/2016 19:07

Grapefruit Our pram has been upstairs for most of the summer holidays. It's still in a box. The car seat is next to it (and part of the pushchair)...also still in a box. I'm trying to figure out where we could "park" it when it's not in use...don't really want to leave it out in the alleyway. It's private and has a roof, but DH's bike got stolen from there a while back...although it was secured with a chain and it means whoever took it had to make their way across our driveway and past our bins. Shock

School tomorrow. I don't want to. Sad Have to tell my class that they won't actually be my class. Generally feel like a bit of a spare part. No classroom to prepare, no planning to do, no timetable to organise. I'm not good with not knowing what I'm meant to be doing. It gets me all stressy... (It's a main reason why I'd suck at being a supply teacher.)

Thisisbonkers · 04/09/2016 19:16

I can't remember who was dyeing baby clothes, but I'm currently attempting my first batch 😃

Minispringroll · 04/09/2016 19:49

Thisisbonkers I did. Grin Hope it's going well. Mine seem to be ok after another handwash and then me shoving them into the washing machine with some softener. Good luck. Smile

Thisisbonkers · 04/09/2016 20:21

I've given them two hand washes and a quick wash in the machine. Hoping they'll stop running soon else I'll have a yellow baby!! I think I'll do some more with other colours! Grin

Place marking! Haven't been on for a while as have just been so busy.
Has everyone bought their changing bags? All the ones I like are so expensive!

becciandbump · 04/09/2016 20:43

daisychain Ryanair were so crap they didn't even notice I had a bump and im massive or if they did they didn't care I had a note on me just in case but I may well have not bothered

nightcap · 04/09/2016 20:44

bigfam and rainfall sorry you've been suffering with the wake ups too! Hope we all get a decent night's sleep tonight.

Not sure if anyone's flagged already but looks like Asda has its baby event on at the moment and tesco one is coming up next week... I'm planning to buy a double breast pump and have been doing q bit of research, sounds like the spectra s2 gets pretty good reviews - has anyone here used one? Last baby I had an advent single electric pump which did the job but I figure a double will halve the time it takes...

Thisisbonkers · 04/09/2016 20:47

Ta daa! I'm hooked. I'm going to end up with a multicoloured dyed baby, aren't I?

Minispringroll · 04/09/2016 20:59

Very nice, Thisisbonkers. I like the yellow. Have done two batches in that colour. I said to DH that I'll take the multicoloured ones to the hospital,...so at least our baby will be easy to recognise. Grin
I did need to rinse them our quite a few times but the colour seems to be ok,...unless I wash the baby while wearing the clothes. Hmm

englishgirl I've looked at changing bags,...but I'm not quite sure what you put into them. Confused What goes in there that can't simply go into my old rucksack? Have never had a need for one before...but I'm also never out with much. My handbag is quite small and generally only contains my purse, mobile and keys (and perhaps some tissues). We've got a travel changing mat similar to this one.

Bigfam · 04/09/2016 20:59

Thanks nightcap
Hope both you & rainfall (and anyone else waking at silly o'clock) get a better sleep tonight.

Oh my god bonkers they're amazing, where are you ladies getting the dyes from? I'm going to start doing this when the kids are back at school!

I got mine from Hobbycraft. It's Dylon, I've just got the hand wash one, not the machine one. Half of one of those did three vests.

I still need a changing bag. Not sure what to go for.
