Have you tried tuna and saladcream yet tinklypoo? 😆
I bought a second hand oyster and have replaced the mattress with a new one. I think the universal bits are generally decent though so you should be okay. I was thinking about stripping my pram chassis & spray painting it black with glitter, someone online did it and it looked excellent.

Is that an actual flavour tinklypoo? Who on earth would choose that?!
Well now I'm just curious and want to try them Grin

Still in hospital. 3rd night here. Fed up. Waiting to have tests and of course being the wknd I've to wait til tomorrow. And of course coz they are suspecting a blot clot I've to stay in.

When I rang my midwife on Friday with my symptoms I got told off for not getting reduced movements checked out. 25 weeks today so they should take you seriously. Well I had a scan and it turned out my placenta is at the front so that's why but since I've been in bed all weekend he is doing summersaults lol..

Bigfam · 11/09/2016 21:34

Oh no nojo I did post yesterday to see whether you were home, I thought I read you were just waiting to be seen by a doctor and discharged. I hope it's not a blood clot and you're home asap.

I've seen the venicci prams, they're great.
I am tempted but it's a lot of work and I don't think I can be arsed Grin

Nojo82 · 11/09/2016 22:17

Yes bigfam I did see that thanks. I feel like a fraud being here coz I feel fine. I did have an episode of feeling unwell earlier though, high pulse and shortness of breath. Really don't think I have a clot but I've been getting clexine injections just in case.

Kitch82 · 11/09/2016 22:32

tinklypoo we've done exactly the same, we've bought a Venicci special edition in denim grey which is beautiful but wasn't impressed with the car seat so we're borrowing a maxi cosi off a close friend, her giant baby only fitted it for 6 months. It's cleaned up really well just giving the cover a wash. Really pleased with the Venicci too. Just need a baby now, 3 months is seeming a loooong time at the moment.
nojo hope you get some answers soon and are feeling better Flowers

sueevone · 11/09/2016 23:12

Is anyone else getting a TENS machine? Just ordered mine (Elle Tens) for £22.00 for 7 weeks. I don't handle pain well so anything to try and take the pain away.

SolomanDaisy · 12/09/2016 06:40

nojo, I hope they rule out a clot and let you go home today! Are you waiting for a scan?

sueev I definitely want to use a Tens machine, it was great last time. I'm going to wait until I've done the hospital tour and see if they supply them. If not I'll be ordering one!

My pelvis also feels a lot better if I do nothing.

Nojo82 · 12/09/2016 08:06

solomon I'm waiting for a dopler (scan on my legs) and a chest x-ray. I don't think I have a clot but suppose I need to b careful. I think because they have questioned a clot I've to go for a 4D scan but don't know yet..

Nojo82 · 12/09/2016 08:08

I never thought about getting a TENS. Are they worth getting? Never used one before?

SolomanDaisy · 12/09/2016 08:27

I only had a Tens because it came with my birth pool hire and I thought I might as well give it a try. It was brilliant! There was actually a significant increase in pain when I took the tens off and got in the pool.

StubbleTurnips · 12/09/2016 08:39

sue no TENS here, DH recalls the massive epi I had with the last one. I have very sensitive skin and it gave me skin burns, cue me mid labour ripping the thing off and smashing it on the floor. It was my only moment of drama during the 30hrs, but lives long in his memory Blush Grin

Nojo82 · 12/09/2016 10:10

Lol turnips that made me laugh (the drama bit)..

Well I'm going for my dopler scan at 3.30. Feels like hours away. Pending on results what time I get home.

Reported that post ^^

Being bored senseless waiting for the second blood test fo the GTT. And I'm starving.

Nojo82 · 12/09/2016 10:40

Was wondering. Jesus people have a nerve. I've my gtt next week. Not looking forward to it. I've a feeling that I might have to either cut my hours at work or go off on the sick. Only went for a shower this morning and it raised my heart rate and made me breathless.

Bigfam · 12/09/2016 10:56

Good luck to you both Smile
What a weird-ass post Grin

stripeyorangesocks71 · 12/09/2016 11:16

Stubble I know how you feel! Mine was last week and took forever. But the hunger was something else! I hope you've taken something to eat as soon as you've had second bloods taken? My other half made sure I had something with me to eat before I drove back from the doctors. I hope the blood taking was less awkward than mine for everyone too - nurse couldn't get blood out of my arm and decided to wiggle the needle around in my arm for ages before trying my other arm... Confused

Lovewatchingrainfall · 12/09/2016 11:28

Nojo I hope you are looking after yourself. The doctors or hospital will probably sign you off if it continues. Try and take it easy. And I hope the scans come back with some answers.

I have my GTT on Wednesday, are you allowed to drink water during it or before it do you know.

Babydreaming · 12/09/2016 12:58

Sorry to hear you're still in hospital nojo!

Just had my 28 week appointment and my belly was measuring 27cm..I'm actually 27+6 and last time it was 2cm less so I'm happy with this! Baby's heartbeat was going strong around 160 (it always seems to be fast!). Felt slightly reassured by the midwife but have to wait for my next ultrasound to more accurately check his growth!

ElodieS · 12/09/2016 13:50

Hi all, Just trying to catch up so sorry if I've missed anything major over the last week or so! Life has been very busy with DTs starting school and trying to get sorted before going to NYC. ...Suddenly realised I should really try to have most things ready before I go, eeeek!

Sorry to hear you're suffering Nojo but hope you feel better soon.

I'm definitely getting to the properly big stage now where my belly really gets in the way... Been getting creative with suitable work outfits to take to the states!

LucySB123 · 12/09/2016 14:16

I used a TENS with my first. I am not sure it relieves pain but it sure does distract you. When the pain is intense I don't think it really worked, I remember turning all dials up to max and I was still in agony. I sold it post-birth and I don't think I'll be getting one this time. Gimme the drugs instead! Grin

StubbleTurnips · 12/09/2016 15:39

Stripey foolishly didn't take anything with me, went out for lunch with DD after though!

Haha lucy - that's what my birth plan says, give me the drugs, except diamorphine that stuff made me puke.

love it should say on your letter, mine was nil by mouth for 12 hours but allowed water. Didn't get lucozade this time, a small cup of pure glucose that tasted like melted ice lollies
