My tummy is huge today, baby kicking lots - is it from 28 weeks you're meant to keep track?

Hi everyone
Have mainly been on the FB group and suddenly realised we're on a new thread over here. Hope everyone is really well. South sending much love - your little girl is precious and will clearly be much loved.

We've had our 20 weeks scan since I last checked in and are team Pink we think.

Really, really struggling with SPD over here - having physio and hemorrhaging money to the chiropractor at the moment as feel pretty desperate and in far too much pain for 22 weeks. Waiting on our consultant appt in a few weeks to talk about the ELCS and was just doing the exciting job of working out when I want to start mat leave.
Can't wait although have hardly started thinking about anything else to do with baby yet as focusing all stress and energy on trying to get our house sale/purchase through and move first. (At which point all of DS's stuff will probably just come out the loft for this one) Poor second baby.

We've managed to get a pushchair today. It was a bit like going car shopping with DH (he doesn't drive and doesn't like cars) and he just mumbled, "I'm so glad you know what you're doing." To be fair, I had already picked what I wanted and was just wanting to get a look at an actual model in a shop to play with. Had thought about getting a used one, but in the end we found a good deal for a Jane Trider, including the Matrix 2 and the isofix base, at a local shop. They had the iCandy Peach as well, but I was looking for something quite sturdy and "unfussy".

It's our first baby, but it'll have quite a few used things. I don't think LO will mind too much. Our neighbours have kindly given us lots of second hand clothes and my SIL is also getting us some from a colleague. They won't wear it for long, so I don't see the point in getting posh stuff. (And...blimey, I never realised that kids clothes are sooo expensive! )

We have a second had pram and loads of other bits from various places that are second hand too, it's nice to have a few new things though I think!

Just back from a second gender scan ...baby was much more co-operative this time and they say they are 99% certain it's another girl for us so glad we had another scan to check as the sonographer at the anomaly scan said they though a boy!

Oriana you should keep track of kicks from when you feel them regularly. I checked with my midwife.

How am I nearly 23 weeks?!

We've bought some new bits but am happy to take anything anyone will give us! A couple of friends have piles set aside for us

DTs have finally noticed the bump and asked whether they're getting a "new sister"! It was very cute but caught me unawares a bit as I was convinced they'd never figure it out. Luckily I bought a book about becoming a big sister ages ago and rooted it out and we spend a lovely half hour looking through pictures of them as babies and talking about what it's like to live with a little baby. I think they went to bed feeling fairly happy about it all.

I'm slightly worried about the new LO being left out of their little twin club, particularly since there's quite a big age gap (4 years) between them... might have to have baby number 4!

Re siblings and preparing them "there's a house inside my mummy" was recommended to me and we've started reading it this week, sweet book and hopefully it'll give DS some understanding!

Thank you elodies 😊 oh bless your dt's how sweet! I don't think your baby will be left out because of the fact that their twins, but like you said, the age gap. There's less than a year between dd1 & ds, then 2 years between ds & dd2. The age gap between dd1 and the baby will be nearly 8 years which is scary 😮 anyway, the oldest 3 all play together and dd3 who's 18months just stays downstairs with me, at least she'll be close in age to the baby 😊

Hi all. Not posted for a while. Had my 20 week scan on Tuesday and found out we are having a boy 😀. Really pleased as we already have a little girl who will be 2 in september so having one of each will be great. All healthy as well.

We found Osborne's "new baby" book great for a 2 & 5 year old.

Not sure if anyone is interested, but I'm amazon the sleepyhead pod is on sale for £45!!!! Should be around £120, there was some confusion to begin with about whether it was the actual pod or just the cover but amazon have verified it's the pod, I'd hurry if you're interested, they will sell out soon.

Thanks bigfam I've ordered one - delivery in 1-2 months though, it must have been popular!

Hey everyone how's things. The age gap between my youngest and new baby will b 7 years. Feel bad for my new baby as we are definitely not having any more. Hopefully it won't feel left out but I'm sure with 3 big bothers it will b spoilt rotten..

Finally getting movement that I can feel when putting my hand on my belly, very exciting and reassuring. Although at the moment I think baby is quite shy.

Getting nervous about my scan, had a dream about it last night. Dreamt I'm having a girl. I would love a girl so much but happy with whatever I've been given..

In the past couple of weeks, I've managed to pick up so many bargains either in half price sales or 2nd hand selling sites I'm on, on fb, tomorrow a nice lady is dropping off an isofix base for the car seat I'm gettingl later this month, another grow bag and a tracksuit, another friend has just tagged me as she's seen a cot bedding set on one of the selling websites and yesterday I picked up nappies in asda too, it's all coming together nicely!!

I have a silly question...I've always been a side sleeper but realised more and more that I wake up flat on my back (and very comfortable!). I googled it yesterday, and a couple of people said you should stop sleeping on your back at 20 weeks. Is this true or just an old wives tale?! I kept waking my self up panicking that I was on my back last night so really looking for peace of mind or tips on how to stay on your side! I used to be so rational and relaxed...

I wonder if they've mistakenly labelled it wrong as that seems to be the price of the replacement cover normally? Oh well get it while you can! I've just ordered one too!
