Nice big cooked breakfast after you're finished tipboov?

We'll need another new thread soon! Shock

SolomanDaisy · 01/09/2016 12:45

Ow, both isn't fair! I just had the full blood tests, though I did have to have three. I think I'll get the test results at the midwife next week. Though if my blood glucose resembles lucozade maybe they'll call me earlier!

I've been washing DS's smallest baby clothes. I'd forgotten how tiny they are! The legs are so short.

cnchapmanxx · 01/09/2016 12:49

girls can you recommend a support belt i can wear?? was in agony last night with ligament pain to the point i was crying and in hospital getting ruffled about by the physio. thankfully i dont think its SPD as i went back this morning but said its just severe ligament pain. xx

Londonmamabychance · 01/09/2016 19:56

Tinkly what has really helped med is doing pregnancy yoga to build pelvic stability. Just do it at home in the evening Two-three times a week, I do it according to an instruction video on YouTube. Would love to go to an actually class but have no time.
Has completely cured my back pain.

Bonkers OMG don't feel bad for not always loving being pregnant, I go from feeling all mother earthy and happy to hating feeling so big and heavy, and can't believe I've got almost 4 months to go yet! Of course can't wait for bubba but that doesn't take away how tiring pregnancy is!

Bigfam · 01/09/2016 20:48

Oh my god I CAN'T BREATH (where baby is pushing everything up) 3ish months of this 😦

SouthDownsSunshine · 01/09/2016 21:10

Came home from work in flooda of tears - from the rib pain and sheer exhaustion. No idea how I can keep going with it. Work was fine, but the commute is a killer.

duxb · 01/09/2016 21:12

Those of you struggling with ligament pain or SPD, how high is it? I have pain right accross my pelvis / really lower abdomen but it's only exasperated when I move. So walking, getting out of the car, turning over in bed. If it wasn't just sore when i mobilised, I would think there was something wrong as often baby lays quite low.

Am I right in thinking that it's either ligament pain or SPD? (I have to sit down to get dressed and everything!)

Hope all are well X

Are you a bit constipated tinkly? More fibre, more water? Perhaps smaller more regular meals so as to not overload your digestive system? Does it happen all the time no matter what you eat? My IBS symptoms have got much worse which I think is just down to the general softening of everything, slowing down of digestive process, very boring indeed.
Southdownsunshine so very sorry to hear that, it sounds like a terrible strain for you to have to commute that far, even if it isn't every day. Can you cut down on the commute days any more? Always give yourself minimum of 2-3 days between commutes?

cnchapmanxx · 01/09/2016 21:54

south sending you hugs lovely can you not work from home or take some time off??

duxb mine is very sharp pains down the right side of bump, I can't walk, do anything active like shopping. DH pushed me round IKEA tonight in a wheelchair Blush I went to the hospital and they said it was severe ligament pain as it was too high for SPD a really bad stitch pain. Only doesn't hurt when I'm led down/sat down!
Not much they can do apart from paracetamol and rest Sad xxx

TipBoov · 01/09/2016 21:55

bigfam salad sandwich unfortunately, but followed that with a slice of cake!
I struggle to breathe sometimes too, it helps if I lean back and kind of stick my bump out... Looks ridiculous though!

south can you change your start/finish time to improve your commute?

SolomanDaisy · 01/09/2016 21:56

duxb, that sounds quite a bit higher than my SPD! My front pain is right underneath, just above vagina level. I also have it behind, in the sacro iliac joints right across my bum.

southdowns, I'm not surprised you're exhausted, your commute is so long. Do you have to do it many more times?

bigfam, my breathing has really improved the past couple of weeks, since the baby has turned to a breech, very curled up position! Still hoping she flips back around though...

StubbleTurnips · 01/09/2016 22:00

I'm getting a similar thing on the left side of my bump, I can not sit still without it hurting. Muscle pain - it's annoying pregnancy thing number 82.

TipBoov · 01/09/2016 23:17

Has anyone else got really sensitive skin now? I always burn in the sun, but this is something else! I was out for two hours yesterday at the park with DS and my chest is so burnt it feels like I'm constantly being pricked with needles Sad

stripeyorangesocks71 · 01/09/2016 23:37

Tipboov yes at the sensitive skin! I've always burnt in the sun but was out in it on Monday for a few hours not even thinking it was sun cream weather and wham! I ended up with really bad sunburn, even on my hands Confused plenty of after sun and a wet flannel in the freezer for 5 mins or so, applied to draw the heat out of the burn helped me. Hope it eases for you soon!

I've felt rotten all evening... Stomach is churning, feeling sick, then a nosebleed out of nowhere. Off to bed to not sleep again for another night...

SouthDownsSunshine · 02/09/2016 08:29

I'm on southern bloody rail so whatever train I get it's crap :( My ribs were really hurting in work, and then sitting on a cramped and noisy train for over 90 minutes sent me over the edge. Got to go back into London today for a heart scan, I'm going to take some paracetamol and hope it helps.

Popskipiekin · 02/09/2016 09:04

Southern rail not exactly flavour of the month with profits announced this morning! Un-bloody-believable Shock
Can you take a hot - or ice cold if you find more helpful? - water bottle with you maybe? To put on the ribs? Hot water bottles OK in pregnancy aren't they.....?

Bigfam · 02/09/2016 10:01

SouthDownsSunshine your commute sounds horrendous! Wishing you & baby south all the best for your heart scan.

I do that as well tipboov and also stick my arms up in the air. I just keep panicking because I think she's still got 14 weeks left to grow and if I can't breath now, it can only get worse. She is around 36cm from top to toes now though 😆

Thisisbonkers · 02/09/2016 12:27

That commute sounds horrendous south 🙁

I'm feeling a bit brighter about things today. Thank you for all your support 😊

I get the ligament pain if I've done a bit much, either walking or riding. Seems too early to give everything up just yet though but I am trying to slow down a bit. It's frustrating being a doer!

Also getting pain bending over if I even slightly need a wee. And moments of not being able to breathe properly. But I got my own back last night. We went out for a meal and I ate so much, I had visions of JuniorBonkers being squashed up against the side of my tummy because I was so full of food!

TipBoov · 02/09/2016 12:51

Thinking of you today south

stripey a flannel from the freezer sounds like just what I need for my sunburn! I've been slathering aftersun on but I'm not sure if it helps.

So I've had my GTT results and I have gestational diabetes Sad. I don't know why, it's not something that runs in the family and i'm not overweight. I have an appointment next week to go through what I need to do, and I have to avoid sugary foods now Sad

OrianaBanana · 02/09/2016 13:37

Sorry to hear that TipBoov - what a pain. Still at least they've diagnosed it so it's not gone unnoticed Flowers I hope the temporary GD diet will help you feel better.

I have my GTT at 1pm next week so I have to work out whether I fast from the night before or from an early breakfast Confused

I have quite bad SPD (had it last time) so I need to go to the physio. I've ordered a belt too hoping it will help. The pain is quite low down round my hips/pelvis/inner thighs and gives me big problems at night - being in one position hurts and moving hurts. Someone suggested silk sheets and pjs to make turning easier (less friction) but I can't find any silk maternity pjs!

I also have the ligament pain in my bump and a bad back if I walk too far and the breathleasness... Just as well this is worth it! Smile

SolomanDaisy · 02/09/2016 15:09

Hope the scan goes well today south.

How annoying Tipboov, hopefully you'll be able to control it easily.

SolomanDaisy · 02/09/2016 15:12

oriana, my physio suggested that to me last time too, but I never found any satin maternity pyjamas. I did get a memory foam mattress topper which made lying in one position more comfortable though! My main issue at night now is DS getting into the bed and wrapping his legs around my maternity pillow, which makes turning extra tricky.

OrianaBanana · 02/09/2016 15:18

Yes I get tangled up in mine as I keep needing to switch sides because one hip/side of my pelvis starts hurting after a while. I do have a mattress topper but it makes movement a bit more difficult as I 'sink' into it a bit.

SouthDownsSunshine · 02/09/2016 16:21

Thanks for all the kind words. Scan went well, no new nasties found. The valves were more leaky but that's expected with the heart problem my baby has. Still on track to give birth at Brighton which is great. Next heart scan at 34 weeks.

On train back and it's delayed! But I have a seat, and I'm next to my husband so I can lean and stretch out against him. Little pleasures!
