Girls, I'm really worried here about my lack of symptoms, well the feeling sick part really. I feel tired and have sore boobs but not a hint of sickness. I know that every pregnancy is different, it's just that my first two pregnancies were exactly the same symptom wise. I was really nauseous/throwing up from the get go until about 14 weeks. Don't get me wrong I'd rather not feel so ill,but as least it made me feel like everything was fine with the pregnancy!!!
Should I be worried at the fact I don't feel sick?

neonrainbow · 20/07/2016 16:38

Tutu im 8 weeks and haven't been sick. I've felt a little bit nauseus but if been eating little and often and that seems to be helping.

tutulove · 20/07/2016 16:42

Neon I haven't even felt nauseous, it's so bizarre for me that I'm stressing big time. I've done the worst thing I could have done and googled missed miscarriages and scared myself.....

Gardencentregroupie · 20/07/2016 17:02

tutu I don't know if this is helpful or not but my first pregnancy ended in an MMC, and I was sick as a dog the whole time, even after a scan showing the pregnancy wasn't viable - and hadn't been for some time - and I was waiting for an ERPC. My next pregnancy had the exact same symptoms and was perfectly healthy. This time round I have no symptoms really, but the clearblue showed 3+ weeks a week ago so the hormone levels are rising. Maybe your diet or lifestyle is different to before your first two pregnancies, maybe your body is used to the effects of hcg, maybe it's just totally random, but there's no point in worrying yourself. Step away from Google!

Blueandpinklove I found a local pregnancy pilates teacher and went from about 13 or 14 weeks right up until I was 40 weeks, then I went back to postnatal pilates when DD was about 10 weeks. My classes were East London /Essex, I can recommend my teacher if anyone is near there. (She does have waiting lists!) Sadly I've moved out of the area now and can't go. There's a bit of a dearth of antenatal exercise classes here, I had aquanatal in my local leisure centre where I was before but nothing in any of the surrounding ones now.

neonrainbow · 20/07/2016 17:02

Im not sure if my nausea is psychological. I have a really weak stomach normally so im surprised i haven't been feeling worse.

Cantstringawordtogether · 20/07/2016 17:11

I have no nausea, just tiredness and food aversions and to be honest I go through phases like that when I'm not pregnant anyway!

Still have awful pain in my ribs/shoulders, trying to rest as much as I can, if I'm no better tomorrow I suppose I should go back to doc/hospital. Really worn out from it at this stage.

FXSkip · 20/07/2016 17:14

HmrTron welcome, you are on the list but I'm trying to avoid posting it too frequently as its massive!!

1st rule of pregnancy - don't google miscarriage!!

NameChange30 · 20/07/2016 17:16

Zanashar I work PT as well and tried to get a booking in appointment on a day off but couldn't. I just told my boss it was a "medical appointment" and she was fine with it. I have to make up the time (flexi time) but hopefully they will credit me the hours after I tell them I'm pregnant and it was actually a booking in appointment!

Cloeycat · 20/07/2016 17:16

Next question- would you go sailing at this point? Like racing? I remember talking about it at my last job and everyone thought it was a totally irresponsible thing to do but now with my new job it's likely I'll have to sail a few times during unless I tell them now which I'm not ready to do.

Having sailed all my life (I was a week old when my dad first took me out 😛) I'm inclined to do it anyway but just looking for opinions?

NameChange30 · 20/07/2016 17:18

Cloey As I said before (about horseriding) I think it all depends on the risk of injury and your attitude to risk. Personally I think if the risk was low I would do it. My DH might disagree though!

Zanashar · 20/07/2016 17:25

My bosses would probably assume I'm pregnant as in the 12+ years I've been with them I've only ever had medical appointments with the last pregnancy. And I really really don't want them knowing just yet. I will try to change the appointment but if the next one is absolutely ages away will try to stick with this one.

Sailing/exercise in general, I'm going by if it's something you're used to doing already then go for it ( within reason obviously). I've been advised by my trainer that as long as I don't try to increase my fitness levels all should be well. So come Friday I'm taking part in an event for our local children's hospital that's called "The Million Kilo Lift" and I'll be deadlifting 50kg at a time to contribute to the totalGrin
Overall , listen to your body.

tutulove · 20/07/2016 17:44

Gardencentre: Thank you so much for your personal experience it has helped a lot ease my fears (although Im very sorry about the MC)
Other Girls: your so right I'm banning myself from google from now on in this respect anyway.
I haven't heard a peep out of my midwife but I haven't chased her as I know they do booking in appointments around 10 weeks here so it's early days. I did call the hospital though to book my scan but they said they'd send out an appointment in writing as I heard 3rd degree tears on DC1 and they said this means I have to be under a consultant. I'm 12 weeks on 22nd but there's no clinic on that week (it only runs on a Monday) and apparently the consultant is away on 15th August and the 29th so there's no clinics. They don't know what they are gonna do with me they said to wait to hear from them in writing (sigh)

tutulove · 20/07/2016 17:46

I had 3rd degree tear even not heard 3rd degree tear

NameChange30 · 20/07/2016 17:52

tutu I don't really like being called a "girl" Wink
But if it's any consolation I haven't been feeling sick, a bit queasy when hungry but that's about it. I have plenty of other symptoms (exhaustion and painful boobs being the main two). I think having some symptoms is reassuring but i wouldn't worry about not having all of them!

alphabook · 20/07/2016 18:11

Congrats to the new BFPs!

Sounds like good scan results Cho with it being so early still. Smile

Gardencentre I live in the east London/Essex border and would like to do antenatal Pilates if/when I get to 12 weeks, who was your teacher?

5 weeks today and no really symptoms. Occasional tiredness but that could just be due to running round after a toddler all day! No sore boobs and no nausea. Last time I'm sure I was feeling sick by now and sore boobs were my first symptom before BFP. I'm breastfeeding currently though so that might explain the lack of sore boobs? Anyway, I know we shouldn't, but I'm also worrying about the lack of symptoms! Confused

CinnamonTwist · 20/07/2016 19:15

I had sore boobs for a bit. No real nausea yet but I would trade it very willingly to get rid of the bleeding I am having. I would really really like it to stop Sad been bleeding lightly on and off since Sunday evening and I keep veering between 'the midwife says it might be nothing' and 'it's got to be a bad sign and I'm obviously going to miscarry' it's an exhausting roller coaster and a big part of me wants to know whether it's worth it (I don't mean the baby wouldn't be worth it, I mean if I'm going to lose the pregnancy then I'm going through all this for nothing)
Sorry that's quite negative, I'm just feeling sad about it today, I expected sickness/ some discomfort, but I hadn't expected this awful uncertainty and worry about bleeding. I just want to be able to be excited about it but feel I can't yet.

Freckles - welcome and congratulations.

I went to EPAC this am because of bleeding but it was too early to scan. I've been booked in for 2 weeks time.

I wanted to say something to you all about ectopic pregnancies. With mine I didn't have any of the typical symptoms at all. Just pain when moving around and using the toilet that gradually got worse.

I wasn't even going to get it checked as thought it was wind initially Blush

Just wanted to tell you to be extra vigilant. Mine had ruptured by the time I was operated on and I had pain yes but it wasn't agony and I'd had no bleeding or one sided pain. Not trying to scare anyone.

Is there a secret March 2017 facebook group yet?

MissClarke86 · 20/07/2016 19:53

In terms of symptoms, I'm 6+2 and haven't really had nausea as such...unless I think about southern fried chicken wraps Hmm

It's a strange one and I think it's because we went through a phase of eating them a few weeks ago. Every time I think about it now it makes me feel ill.

Just had a cheeky macdonalds, had a bite of OHs chicken, was fine until I thought about chicken wraps and immediately had to run off to spit it out. Weird...

NameChange30 · 20/07/2016 19:54

I got my scan appointment letter, woohoo!
I will be exactly 12 weeks (by my estimation) on the day of the scan. It's on 18th August. Bring it on!

smiles I think it's a bit early to start a FB group, I get the impression people usually start them a bit later in the pregnancy?

Cinnamon, Elsa, and anyone else with bleeding, hope it's nothing serious and stops ASAP. Flowers

Oooh namechange that's exciting I'll be 12 weeks on the 17th so hoping i will have scan date soon too 😂

WelliesAndCake · 20/07/2016 20:24

Hi all, thanks for the replies about pregnancy pilates/yoga. I've found two locally - one run by a physio and another by 'daisy birthing' which seems to have parenting classes etc too. I'll look into them.

I had my booking appt today and it was very long (1.5 hours! - she had a student). The midwife asked me loads of questions, took blood, tested urine, blood pressure, height and weight, and booked me in for my 12 week scan Smile (23rd Aug!). Got loads of booklets and things to read too - I feel like I'm doing GCSE Pregnancy! She recommended the Baby Buddy phone app so I'll download that later.

Next appts are the scan, and then a 16 week check up appt with the midwife at the clinic. It's starting to feel a bit more real now...

Hope you are all ok and coping with the heat!

Carolann8584 · 20/07/2016 20:25

cant what are you doing to ease your shoulder/ribs pain? I've been using a hot water bottle but also putting cold cloths on my chest so I don't over heat.
