mines refusing to read pregnancy books! but I really want him to because he was so not understanding when I was pregnant with our first and I always get a feeling he thinks I'm making stuff up. It was really different then too because we didn't live together then (I still lived with my mum) so didn't see each other all the time so I'm just going to buy it and make him read itso hopefully he's nicer this time round Grin

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/08/2016 09:33

Mine is actually painfully sympathetic, to the point where I keep apologising for being incredibly lazy. I find that if I'm tired, and he's being on the ball with tidying, cooking etc I'm just leaving him to it, and then I feel really lazy and like I've taken advantage. I know it's a ridiculous complaint, but I have promised myself I'm going to make as much of an effort as I can to repay the favour while I'm feeling well and rested so that I don't feel so bad when I'm not!

ItsMagicYouKnow · 02/08/2016 09:39

Jezebel Make the most of it! Growing a baby is incredibly hard work, and sounds like your lovely OH has the right idea. There'll be moments later on in your pregnancy when you'll be able to function as per usual (in theory), and when baby arrives, there'll be plenty for everyone to do! I say, rest when you can! Smile

ItsMagicYouKnow · 02/08/2016 09:42

Also, welcome GVW! Sounds like you had quite a scare, but glad all is OK!

Cantstringawordtogether · 02/08/2016 09:58

Congrats and welcome gvw

Cho hope everything is ok xx

Butterpuff · 02/08/2016 11:30

Cho and Elsa I hope you have positive news soon. Really feel for you. X

Name change my jeans no longer do up now. Luckily my tops are all huge and nobody will notice as I still looked about 12 weeks from not getting back into shape after DC1! I hate the feeling of anything tight around my waist so will be living in empire line dresses from now on.

Microwave rice (plain) seems edible to me. And cream crackers maybe a bit of exam cheese. But put a chicken anywhere near me and I'll leave the room.

Don't think I'm as bad as last time round but it's still early days yet.

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/08/2016 12:47

Butterpuff, does that mean no Nandos? That's my current favourite! I can't cope with ham, boiled eggs or olives (last month's favourites!) or most dairy, particularly greek yogurt which was my usual breakfast, and no more lattes. Midwife just called and I'm seeing her on Monday, which is completely not what the GPs surgery told me yesterday, but I'm pleased I'm finally being booked in!

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/08/2016 12:49

Also, what kind of medical history do they need at your booking in appt? I am fine but my DH is adopted so any kind of family history is non existent.

Butterpuff · 02/08/2016 13:24

I'd struggle to walk past the door of a Nandos super I can't do flavour either. The smell would be too much. Plain rice, pasta or potatoes for me. From what I remember they were more interested in Mum than Dad anyway. But it's any hereditary medical conditions that they should look out for in the baby.

SuperDuperJezebel · 02/08/2016 13:56

Poor you! Tho to be honest my nandos on sat was unintentionally spicy and it made me feel really queasy! Also the man eating disgustingly beside me didn't help!

purplesmiler · 02/08/2016 14:00

I just had a massive craving for chips and after eating them I feel sick I really should learn!

neonrainbow · 02/08/2016 14:20

Jezebel im the same with feeling lazy! I can't help it though. Luckily dh is amazing.

Butterpuff · 02/08/2016 15:12

I'm at my parents house. I'm laying on my old bed about to have a snooze. Mum, Dad and Toddler are in wellies and waterproofs playing in the garden! My folks are nuts! Love them.

wornoutboots · 02/08/2016 15:22

Jezebel
my ex was raised in care, so when they were asking questions we just said that he didn't know about family history and they filled in the relevent bits as "unknown"

I really wouldn't worry about it. If you don't know, you don't know.

Cantstringawordtogether · 02/08/2016 17:35

Charly hope you're ok xx

abbinobb · 02/08/2016 17:39

charly hope everything turns out ok, from what i've read it's reasonably common to bleed in early pregnancy without it meaning anything bad. Flowers

SpanielLedWeaning · 02/08/2016 18:13

Good luck charly

NameChange30 · 02/08/2016 18:17
