namechange I think that's pretty normal to go to the loo more. I certainly had it a lot with my first one. It can also make you constipated. I think affects people differently and can change as the months go on.

DaisyBank82 · 27/06/2016 11:12

Thanks Alphabook.
It's so exciting to think that there will soon be others joining us who are due later in March, with many hoping this will be their month but currently enduring the 2 week wait. The Feb board is full of people feeling really sick. That'll soon be us. I'm not looking forward to that part.

DaisyBank82 · 27/06/2016 11:13

Actually that's not strictly true. I am looking forward to feeling a bit more sick as last time, miserable as it was, it was encouraging as it was a sign that things were developing as they should. At the moment I keep wondering if it's really real.

alphabook · 27/06/2016 12:01

Yeah I'm the same Daisy, kind of hoping to feel sick as it means things are progressing as they should!

neonrainbow · 27/06/2016 12:24

Apart from being very tired an having no period i don't feel any different!

mynameisntLinda · 27/06/2016 12:33

You could just be one of the lucky ones that doesn't get sick. Girl at work is 11 weeks and she's not sick at all. I was sick from about 5 weeks last time but so far nothing much. I know what you mean about it being reassuring though. I just hope it doesn't last as long for me this time.

Nehalsd · 27/06/2016 15:49

HI!!

IVE JUST FOUND OUT IM PREG!! 3 WEEK BABY! YAY

Nehalsd · 27/06/2016 15:56

HI

Was too excited before, but now a little calm.

3 week old nugget! Due March 6th :):):)

After visiting the GP, she was pushing for me to pick a hospital, but didn't want to make a hasty decision before I did my research - Im in central London which hospital would you guys recommend?

Also, any mums groups to join? Not online - but how would I connect with expectant mums?

N.

DaisyBank82 · 27/06/2016 16:22

Congratulations Nehalsd. I think my due date is around the same as yours although I'm not sure as my cycles range from 28-36 days!

I'm not in London so can't personally recommend but I've just been reading on the Feb 17 board about a new option at Kings to have an enhanced scan, which sounds great.
"You can now choose to have an enhanced 12 week ultrasound at the Harris Birthright Centre at King’s College Hospital – an international centre of excellence for fetal medicine. This includes:
•a more detailed scan, carried out by a specialist Fetal Medicine doctor
•results within an hour (rather than waiting 7-10 days)
•the opportunity to discuss your scan results with the same doctor, straight away
•an assessment of the risk of having your baby too early or of developing raised blood pressure
•Fetal DNA (Harmony) test if there is an increased risk of Down’s syndrome. This is normally only available privately and avoids the needs for the standard, more invasive test.
To book an enhanced scan, select Harris Birthright on your self referral form (see ‘Referral and contact details’ below) or let your GP know you would like to have your scan at the Harris Birthright Unit.
Pregnant women who decide not to have the enhanced scan can have a regular 12 week scan at Queen Mary’s Hospital."

Congrats to everyone!

Nahalsd, I had my DS at St Georges in Tooting 18 months ago. Birth itself was fab, lovely MLU and I was home within 12 hours. We stayed in the same room I gave birth in until we were discharged so no experience of post natal ward.
Antenatal care was fine but never saw the same MW twice. Post natal was sketchy. As soon as they saw we were nice, relatively middle-class people we were never visited again. I guess in Lambeth they have to concentrate their attentions on more at risk families.
A lot of my friends went to St Thomas's and raved about it. Not sure where you live though. These are all south London.

We live in a small north west market town now so looking forward to having slightly more personal care this time!

LulusMiniEgg · 27/06/2016 16:33

Also, you may not be sick. I only felt nauseous when I was hungry so just snacked a lot. Never sick (crosses fingers this will be the same!)

Boobs are starting to feel tingly now. Still don't feel v pregnant yet but only 5 weeks I guess X

alphabook · 27/06/2016 16:37

No advice on hospitals but congratulations Nehalsd!

Cantstringawordtogether · 27/06/2016 17:24

Congratulations more bfps!!

I'm sneezing non stop the last few days, had my hayfever under control with antihistamine and nasal spray but had to stop all that once I got bfp!! Other than that I could easily forget I'm pregnant at all, not really any more tired than usual (in a houseful of restless sleepers!) not even nauseated, although I have gone right off a lot of stuff I would normally eat and am generally just not that hungry!

Can't advise on hospitals as I'm not in the uk, only one hospital in my area so that's one less decision I have to make!

neonrainbow · 27/06/2016 18:06

Congratulations lots of lovely bfps :)

BridgetDoodle · 27/06/2016 18:43

I went to my GP this morning and she felt that I couldn't possibly be as early as 3 weeks and 5 days but instead has put me down as 7 weeks and 3 days! I am not sure what to believe tbh. I left feeling a bit shocked. So I will have a dating scan in 3-4 weeks.
Apart from that I have been feeling very tired today but only slight nausea!

alphabook · 27/06/2016 18:57

Wow that's a bit of a difference Bridget! Why does she think that?

Cantstringawordtogether · 27/06/2016 19:26

Oh wow Bridget!!

NameChange30 · 27/06/2016 20:53

I called my GP surgery today and they made me a booking appointment with the midwife in 10 days time (all being well - touch wood - I'll be about 7 weeks by then). They asked me to drop by to collect a "Bounty Pack" with all the forms to fill in before the appointment... It has freebies! A mini pack of Pregnacare (7 days) and Graze box vouchers and other marketing crap stuff.

Anyway just wanted to say thanks to the PP who suggested I ask the surgery rather than just making a GP appointment.

Feels a bit more real now! And I feel knackered!

NameChange30 · 27/06/2016 20:56

PS Just read back to check who I wanted to thank and it's H007, thank you!

BridgetDoodle · 27/06/2016 21:04

My surgery advised I had to see my GP, they had a cancellation today, otherwise it would've been end of July!
GP thinks my symptoms are too strong for 3 weeks 5 days, she suggested my last period was an implantation bleed. When I looked back it did come 4 days early so could be?
Either way I'm not complaining as it means I shall get to see my wee bean a bit earlier than expected 😊
She moved my due date to 10th February but I shall stick with March until the scan. Then anything sooner is a bonus!

MonkeyPoozzled76 · 27/06/2016 21:15

Hey Ladies

Can I join you?

BFP yesterday, CD22/26, think I had an implantation bleed on CD19 and have has three days of cramps, twinges and mild nausea so was hopeful but very shocked.

All symptoms have calmed down today freaking me right out

Off to the docs tomorrow for registering and some advice as am supposed to be on a long haul flight Monday and not sure about it at all!?

First time at the grand old age of 39 so keeping everything firmly crossed!

2ManySweets · 27/06/2016 21:25

Hello new joiners and HELLO NEHALSD! Grin

Oh my god well the tiredness has officially hit me like a brick. I've only stayed up this long as it's England v Iceland tonight. I'd have been in bed and hour ago otherwise.

SO TIRED*

*expect me to post this every damn day until Sep

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/06/2016 21:45

Can I join? Bfp yesterday, totally unexpected, ds is just 11 months. Shock

Not sure on edd as af been all over the shop. Still bf ds, and had three af I think but with lots of mid cycle 'spotting'. Only dtd once, the day after af. Took me over two years to get a bfp last time, this time I manage it by accident, taking the mini pill! Aged 38.

Phoning midwife tomorrow.

Sparrowlegs248 · 27/06/2016 21:46

Oh and I feel absolutely vile. I messaged a friend last week saying if I didn't know better I'd say I was pregnant. So so tired and nauseous. Upset tummy too, and headache. On that note, time for bed!

SuperDuperJezebel · 27/06/2016 22:16

Well I did a proper digital test tonight and it came up pregnant almost straight away so I guess I really REALLY REALLY am pregnant. Freaking out a little bit now!
