cant I hope you dont have to wait too long, fingers crossed everything is ok.

NameChange30 · 19/07/2016 14:10

Cant Yikes, hope you get seen sooner rather than later and it's not as bad as they think x

ItsMagicYouKnow · 19/07/2016 14:31

Cant Fx it's nothing and you don't have to wait too long!

ChoChang · 19/07/2016 14:31

Carol glad you got your shoulder pain checked and all is good.

My spotting got a bit worse so I went to epu this morning. Theve done blood test and waiting for the result of that now, but theyll prob want to do it again in 48 hours so playing the waiting game again now.

ChoChang · 19/07/2016 14:31

Eek can't hope everything's ok!

Cantstringawordtogether · 19/07/2016 15:43

Just been discharged. Apart from pain and breathlessness I have no other indications of a clot so solpadeine and heat pads and if it gets worse come back to them. No alternative explanations for what's causing my problems though which is a bit mad!

ItsMagicYouKnow · 19/07/2016 16:53

Cant how frustrating for you! Definitely go back if you need to!

Cho got everything crossed for you. The waiting is really hard, but I guess you know that already. Flowers

Just been to pick up the results of the compulsory blood test I had done at 4+2 (going by LMP). HCG was 469, which is weirdly reassuring, even though I know it means nothing by itself and it was almost 2 weeks ago!

Cantstringawordtogether · 19/07/2016 17:01

Thanks magic

Cho hope you're ok

I'm in my bed now hoping some rest will sort this, DH had to come home from work early so may as well make the most of him being here now!

FXSkip · 19/07/2016 18:03

cant bodies are weird aren't they! Hope all is well for you. Glad to see carol getting all clear too, scary times! Cho I just had that last week, where I got a result of something like 12k then 23k 2 days later (I am between 6-8 weeks though, so both our results tie in with dates) fingers crossed that you get a nice increase in a couple of days.

I just had my booking in appointment with the midwife and a trainee - 90 minute appointment, then I fainted when she took the bloods because I hadn't eaten since day before so got a good ticking off but all sorted now. The second part of my early scan is on Sunday so just going to try and chill out now, hopefully will all be fine!

alphabook · 19/07/2016 18:11

Glad you're ok Can't and Carol. I have everything crossed for you Cho.

We're going to need a new thread soon!

ItsMagicYouKnow · 19/07/2016 18:23

Sorry Carolann forgot to say I'm glad things are OK for you!

ChoChang · 19/07/2016 18:32

Cheers ladies. Hospital just called back. HCG was just over 2000 so they said they should be able to pick something up on a scan, so going to scan me tomorrow. No idea if I'm still having the second blood test anymore. My dates are 5+4 but I'm pretty sure I ovulated late so I reckon I may be closer to 5 weeks. Those are some nice big numbers fx!

PrincessIrene · 19/07/2016 18:45

Glad to see some good news for you ladies!

I've been quite quiet the last few days, I'm rather struggling with the reality of pregnancy if I'm honest. It seems crass to admit this when people are so desperately worried about their little beans!

It's nice to see more number 5+ babies though, makes me feel less like a freak! I very much feel like a freak too. I'm so worried that we can't cope with another baby, either emotionally, physically or financially. We will need a new car and we only took one out on finance in April (not sure we can change this either!), I've not long been back to employment after 8 years as a SAHM and I don't want to ruin it. I'm absolutely terrified of the reactions of my family/friends/workplace and even worse my mum, who has reacted negatively to all four previous babies (even though she adores them now) and also happens to work in the same office as me! I'm scared. Sad

Enough whinging, how are all of you coping in the heat? It's really making me feel sick and at a total loss of appetite. But I'm also bloated. Stupid hormones!

AngelBlue12 · 19/07/2016 18:55

PrincessIrene I know what you mean about your mum's response. When I told my mum about DC3 she said that DH should go to the vets and be neutered Shock she loves all the children now but I'm not looking forward to telling her about this one...!

AllotmentJunkie · 19/07/2016 19:03

Hello do you mind if I join?
cant I hope you are feeling better now and the pain is gone.
cho Im wishing you all the best and hopefully everything is fine.

I got my BPF a couple of days ago but it is still early 4+ nothing! Its my first though have had a bit of a tough time in the past. This time its my strongest syptoms and strongest tests so I am feeling quietly confident.

ItsMagicYouKnow · 19/07/2016 19:34

Hi Allotment welcome to the club of doubt and insecurity! And congrats! Pregnancy can be hard after a tough time, take one day at a time and really hope this is the one for you! Smile

Cho Good news that you can get a scan tomorrow, that gives a much better picture (literally) than HCG, which doesn't give much indication apart from the progression between two tests. It varies so much from woman to woman. Hope you get some sleep tonight, especially with this heat!

Princess sorry to hear you're feeling worried. You're definitely no freak though! Are you going to tell your mum early? Must be difficult hiding it when you work together!

Feeling rough this evening, lightheaded, headache, low-level nausea. I blame the heat too! It makes it difficult to sleep!

ChoChang · 19/07/2016 19:35

Irene don't feel crass about it, were all on our own journeys with our own worries. I think it's more difficult this 1st trimester as it's not out in the open. Hopefully you will feel better after you've got telling people out of the way, try not to worry Flowers

Welcome allotment, congratulations! There are a few of us on here who have had previous miscarriages and/or been through fertility treatment so we'll get through it together. These early days are scary aren't they!

AllotmentJunkie · 19/07/2016 19:58

Thank you for the welcomes and words of encourgment Cho and Itsmagic this seems like a lovely group. Oh also forgot to mention due date should be 20th March

SuperDuperJezebel · 19/07/2016 20:11

Just got back from holiday and theres a letter with my scan appt from hospital, I thought it'd just be a booking in appt but from the duration (est 90 min according to the letter) and mention of the sonographer, I'm assuming it's a scan too. Wasn't going to get DH to come with me til I realised that. Really starting to get nervous that when I go they'll tell me something is wrong, I don't have any reason to think that but I can be a bit of a worrier.

charlybs · 19/07/2016 20:18

Do we need to make a new thread soon? I'm new to MN so not sure what we have to do!

Welcome to the new joiners :)

Cantstringawordtogether · 19/07/2016 21:26

Congrats to the new joiners :)

Princess I don't want to tell my mum either, cant imagine her reacting positively, she's wonderful with all the kids, minds them the days I work and is really involved but I know she worries about me when I'm pg and that's where the negativity comes from but still.....will leave telling the pil to DH, they're a whole other story!

Been resting all evening and feeling no better although I'm starting to think maybe I have a chest infection, had no temp or coughing earlier but I do now; would definitely be a good thing if it turns out that's what's behind this although Dh reckons it's the weirdest chest infection ever if that's what it is but then I usually show odd symptoms when I'm sick like its never obvious what I have, I'm a bit weird that way! Hmm

Cho best of luck with the scan x

I'm off to bed with some solpadeine and praying the kids all sleep tonight so I can too!!

alphabook · 19/07/2016 21:30

I've started a new thread!

Borolass84 · 20/10/2021 16:59

Good afternoon all. Looking for some advice please. I’m due my next period this weekend (23rd or 24th) but yesterday had cramping and bleed. Only 3/4 pad full then just blood present when wiping today. Feeling nausea and lower back pain for last few days. Should I do a pregnancy test now or wait til after the weekend? Thanks in advance
