I think I've put on about a stone so far, not bothered tbh, just enjoying food! Lost it last time and will loose it again, refuse to live my life ruled by weight!

Lovewatchingrainfall · 22/06/2016 14:26

I never have problem with hay fever until today. Seems to be when pollen is very high. Is there anything you can take??

Have slowly been putting on weight. But being over weight you can't really notice the bump my fat is just going from soft to hard.

Eskerina81 · 22/06/2016 15:06

I had my 16 week scan this morning and heard baby's heartbeat for the first time :) Made up for the complete mess I turned up in (massive rush, forgot my notes, didn't bring a urine sample)!

becciandbump · 22/06/2016 15:13

Had an emotional day one of my patients has suspected tuberculosis and ive got a 3 day wait for his tests to come back to see if ive been exposed to it. Ive had the jab so technically I should be ok but ive had a rotten cough so been worried this afternoon :(

Yep, hayfever hideous today. Also got another headache and every time I sneeze it's agony!!! Gp gave me eye drops but said nothing else had been proved to be safe in pregnancy. He knew I would be over cautious though and totally risk averse, I think some tablets haven't ever been proved to cause any ill effects, but obviously they've not done studies on pg women to show that.
I stepped on the scales this morning and was 8.5 stone, so that's half a stone put on since getting pg!

barkingtreefrog · 22/06/2016 15:17

Xpost becci hope the results are clear xx.

TipBoov · 22/06/2016 15:24

Holy your results are clear becci.

I had 16week appt today. Midwife just took my blood pressure and checked my urine sample, and booked my next appointment at 28 weeks. Seems like ages away!

SouthDownsSunshine · 22/06/2016 17:25

I had my 16 week appointment today as well. The heartbeat was perfect, my husband got all emotional. I was complemented on my stomach muscles, they apparently made it hard for her to feel for baby. I suspect it'll be the last time I get that complement!

I have terrible hayfever. I've been using eye drops and a nasal spray occasionally. I've once taken a loratadine pill, it made a big difference but I wouldn't take it regularly.

Theaks · 22/06/2016 17:47

I was prescribed chlorphenamine by the GP for hayfever. Taken half a tab today and helped. Won't take unless I really need. Funny though they have disappeared! I think the hubby has been helping himself my my free medication!!!

Got my blood results back and we are low risk with it being 1 in 10,680. Sounds okay 😊

LittleBear01 · 22/06/2016 17:53

Found out today that we're having a boy!

Also had my cervix length checked (due to previous surgery on it) and it's fine.

Had the most wonderful, patient sonographer so it was a lovely experience. Feeling very excited right now! Grin

DartmoorDoughnut · 22/06/2016 18:14

Congrats littlebear that's fab news!

cnchapmanxx · 22/06/2016 18:45

southdowns that is terrible, I thought my doctors were rubbish. And in regards to the GP I guess she shitted out roses after having her children with no gas and air or having sickness either! Hope you made a complaint but least you've got what you needed!

I feel a bit better today however just waiting for the bloods to come back then il take it from there!

Xx

MrsJoJo · 22/06/2016 19:27

Becci - Hope your results come back OK.

One of my antenatal group friends from DC1 (in Thailand, she is British but grew up there) was diagnosed with latent TB when our kids were about 3 or 4. The Dr's there thought she had probably had it for years.

Her DC1 is a beautiful, strapping 8 yr old... And I'm not sure if she had treatment before TTC (as I returned to the UK and barely see her now) but her DC2 is another strapping young girl.

My DS and this baby will be vaccinated for TB at birth! I'm apparently high risk because of where I lived and the fact I still (occasionally) catch up with my friends who still live there when they visit the UK.

Bigfam · 22/06/2016 19:41

Also hoping your results are clear becci.

I've just had to sit up from lying down on the sofa because of another headache Sad gawds sake!

SteffiMuse · 22/06/2016 20:24

Can I join the Facebook group?

Bella1985 · 22/06/2016 20:53

Had my scan yesterday, all was fine. I'm now clinging on to this group as my EDD is 30th December! Looking forward to the next stage, it sounds very exciting for you all, hearing the heartbeat!

BowSurprise · 22/06/2016 21:10

Can I join the Facebook group as well please

Nojo82 · 22/06/2016 22:24

I'm 13 weeks today and have a huge bump. Reading a lot of you haven't told your news and ur 15/16 weeks. There's no way I could hide this any longer. In fact I told people at 10 weeks coz I was getting a bump. Was only 1 baby at myour scan at 10 weeks. Could they have missed one?

barkingtreefrog · 23/06/2016 06:01

nojo no, it's incredibly unlikely they could miss one. My bump is very obvious now, but I wear baggy tunic dresses with a long cardigan and a floaty scarf, and when I have to stand up or walk round the office I play with my scarf/cardi in front of my bump. People generally won't notice things unless it's in their face, I find. If it gets too hot for cardis and scarves though the secret is going to be out Sad. I'm 16w tomorrow.
I've booked a scan for Sunday as I couldn't hold off any longer. Window to the womb only has a clinic one day a month near me, but found ultrasound direct who do a dating scan for £39 Smile.

Essybird · 23/06/2016 06:38

Slightly different question - are you still exercising same as before pg or have you modified anything?

Nojo my mum is convinced that we are having twins and that the one we haven't seen so far on ANY scans is jus hiding behind the other one... Grin

Bigfam · 23/06/2016 06:40

I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and also have gender scan booked for Sunday, I hope our beans behave and give us both a lovely show! Grin

There was some impressive thunder and lightning here that woke Ds earlier and I'm pretty sure it has been raining since 1am.

Bigfam · 23/06/2016 06:42

Sorry, I was supposed to add your name to the first part of that post barkingtreefrog, what time is your scan Sunday?

Nojo82 · 23/06/2016 07:24

Essybird at this rate I'm not going to be able to get around. At this stage I should be able to hide the fact that I'm expecting. But no, baby wantseats to be seen.

Would love to book a gender scan, I'm way to impatient lol.

oddsockfairy · 23/06/2016 07:30

Have my 16 week midwife check up today - have completely forgotten what happens since DD!! (Added to the fact that with complete baby brain I missed the original appt 2 weeks ago Blush) hopefully will hear heartbeat?
DH is feeling bad as he has meetings so can't come - did anyone else's partners come along? I think we also get the nuchal scan results today?

weechops · 23/06/2016 07:58

littlebear that's lovely Smile

My dh went back to work yesterday for another 3 months I'm really missing him already Sad
