I tested again yesterday got a nice dark line, and a 2-3 on clearblue so that's helped a bit as last time they never got past 1-2.

I only have one regular clearblue digi left, without the conception indicator so I'll probably do that next week.

I spoke to a nice doctor who said they could do bloods if I was really worried but I think I'm better off just waiting and seeing. I know if the worst is going to happen there's nothing I can do about it.

HighHopes16 · 02/06/2016 12:59

Ooh being on antibiotics is a good excuse ! Now to think of a convincing reason for needing them! lol

Kellz92 · 02/06/2016 13:09

I quite like it up here :)

Aww lala thats fab!! im doing another indicator cb next week and i have one boots digi left then no more for me

HighHopes i said a bad uti, because i dont know about anyone else i keep rubbing my belly, so when they asked i said it was sore because of the infection lol will do the same this time if i really need to

xx

phoebe Just so you know what to expect, they probably won't take a blood test to confirm pregnancy at your GP appointment, I didn't get a blood test at my intial GP appointment last time. Apparently it's no longer routine to take a test to confirm pregnancy any more as home tests are so reliable, although obviously this might be different in circumstances like jojo's, or after IVF. I'm sure you can ask for one if you're worried though, worst they can say is no!

They definitely take bloods at your booking in appointment but I don't remember them testing for hcg levels, I think they determine your blood type, your haemoglobin levels (to check for anaemia) and some other tests to check for other things like hep B and sickle cell disease. I think they'll only check hcg levels if there's a cause for concern. But that was in South London so it might be different for different NHS trusts.

kellz I'm going to Killin, just north of Loch Lomond. I seem to spend a lot of my holidays in Scotland these days as we have friends and family in Glasgow and Edinburgh, and DH has family in Orkney. I love Scotland, but I'm desperate for some sun this year!

Kellz92 · 02/06/2016 13:53

We were going to go do the West Highland Way next year at Loch Lomond, maybe the summer after now! haha,.

HighHopes16 · 02/06/2016 14:29

When did everyone inform their GP's? I know the first scan is meant to be at 12 weeks so is there any point me calling them now when I'm only 5-6 weeks max?

Kellz92 · 02/06/2016 14:36

I called the surgery and she said GP doesnt need to see me and booked me into Midwife, but she is busy so glad i phoned early :) x

twocatsandatoddler · 02/06/2016 14:44

Highhopes I'm going to tell them today because I'm there this afternoon with DS anyway. I'm hoping they'll be able to register me with midwife straight away without having to see GP as its a pain getting an appointment unless it's an on-the-day emergency appointment which obviously it wouldn't be!

HighHopes16 · 02/06/2016 15:49

Thanks ladies, I think i'll ring them in the morning. Really holding back from telling everyone!! Grin

Kellz92 · 02/06/2016 16:17

Me too, i really want to tell but so nervous x

wispaxmas · 02/06/2016 16:19

I don't think I'll bother telling my GP until I go in for a specific reason as I've self referred to the midwife already...

Kellz92 · 02/06/2016 16:22

Thats like me wispa, receptionist said GP wont need to see me so she booked my MW appt, x

twocatsandatoddler · 02/06/2016 17:22

I just got back from the surgery, the receptionist booked my midwife appointment for the 28th. That's when I'll be 9 weeks. Now to work out a reason to work from home...

wispaxmas · 02/06/2016 18:09

Twocats, can you not just fib a bit and say DC1 is home ill that day?

Is anyone getting tummy cramps? I keep thinking something is wrong because I'm very crampy, but then maybe it's trapped wind as I'm generally feeling bloated?

Readytosettle · 02/06/2016 18:11

I'm off to see GP tomorrow as I wasn't able to book in with the mw unless I'd seen the GP first. Not sure what value the GP's going to add really but will let you know! I guess it just varies by area.

Readytosettle · 02/06/2016 18:13

I've got cramps wispa, a combo of wind & those pulling/stretching type pains.

HighHopes16 · 02/06/2016 19:01

wispa my stomach feels crampy and bloated too- it's making all sorts of noises!!

HappyMummy1234 · 02/06/2016 19:07

Don't worry about the cramps wisps, they are ligaments stretching - completely normal.

Sounds crazy but I think because of my age and the fact I had chemical pregnancy last month I am feeling paranoid. I have suffered with HG (hyperemesis) in all my previous pregnancies and so far only a hint of nausea. Silly, but I'm almost willing the HG to start as the risk of miscarriage is significantly reduced if you have it. Anyone had any experience of this?

HappyMummy1234 · 02/06/2016 19:08

Predictive text! Should have read wispa not wisps! Sorry!

twocatsandatoddler · 02/06/2016 19:13

happymummy I have no personal experience of hyperemesis but my best friend was pregnant at the same time as me last time and she had it really badly through the whole pregnancy so I've seen how debilitating it can be. I wouldn't wish it on anyone, hope you don't suffer again but I can understand how the symptoms would be reassuring!

MarjorySunshineDust · 02/06/2016 20:46

Hello everyone, I just found out this morning I am pregnant again! Have a dd who is 3 in September already. I'm in shock as we only stopped using contraception this cycle and it took 7 months with dd!

HappyMummy1234 · 02/06/2016 20:57

Congratulations Marjory and welcome!

Jojoclaire · 02/06/2016 20:59

Congrats Marjory! Your body must have been ready and waiting!

Does anyone else feel like they might be getting morning sickness then just realise it's a big burp?! I've been getting some funny looks on the train home...

HappyMummy1234 · 02/06/2016 21:05

Ha ha! That made me laugh! Not experienced that myself, but have been rather gassy the other end 😳 - ah the glamour of it all!

HappyMummy1234 · 02/06/2016 21:07

Thanks two cats - it is completely awful and I know I shall curse it when it hits but I'm just feeling so utterly normal right now it's distressing me!
