Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 45th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 44th grads thread is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 58th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE
for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

ill try not to worry. If it wasn't bloody I am sure it got hot enough through to be ok. It could well be your nerves upsetting your tummy.

Had a long talk with DP and realised that he is coping by being entirely practical but is likely completely terrified. Unfortunately, the practicalities of it are not the part I need help with. I need cuddles and tenderness. I sent him off to play with DSD. DD has come home and I whipped up a batch of GD friendly brownies while enjoying a cup of tea and he has just come in to give me a kiss and a cuddle and it appears we are back to where we should be. I don't know why I always forget that he deals with stress that way... silly miroid!

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/02/2016 18:30

I understand why you might be feeling emotionally delicate Ill but nausea it a common symptom at this early stage of pregnancy!
I think you'll be fine, and even if it did give you food poisoning, it's unlikely to cause problems in your pregnancy.

Glad you've had a chat with DH sky. Sometimes I have to just tell my own DH to just give a hug for just because. He's a practical soul too.

lildottie · 27/02/2016 18:33

sky sorry you're feeling rubbish and in limbo. Sending prayers that you go into labour on tour own and it all.goes swimmingly for you. Glad the miroid is not actually a dick. Must be hard for him to see you upset and not know what to do.

ill I agree don't worry about the lamb, particularly if it wasn't bloody. Ask yourself When did you ever get ill from eating it not pg? That's how I made myself feel better!

sock you are a handy viroid to have around!

Well done on the nap.thurs! bet the dog enjoyed it too!

mer good plan to keep busy. Thought of you the other day when someone told me their wife had twins naturally at 37weeks. 2nd twin was an hour and a half younger and breech but still delivered naturally. It's not all scare stories out there. Don't envy you at all with all these risks to consider. You can only go with what you feel is right and make sure you get it!

So I have had a lovely day. Cot is built as are drawers in nursery (early I know but taking advantage of miroids enthusiasm to get decorated and done). Bought more clothes and finally found maternity jeans that aren't bloody skinny jeans! And bought some clothes for the baby for first time! Even got some half price babygros in tesco. Now looking forward to my trip to mothercare world on a fortnight :) :)

Nfmd: we've ordered dominos!

Discofairypants · 27/02/2016 19:35

Sorry you're having such a hard time sky these miroids can be rather troublesome without meaning to be can't they!

ill as the others have said try not to worry, it's perfectly normal to feel nauseous and is a good sign.

Wow, lil you're so organised! That's great, good for you.

I've just been sorting DD's stuff to see what we can get ready for baby ... We have loads of unisex stuff so pretty set for the first weeks, which is handy! Just need to sort sleeping arrangements .... Feeling very laid back which is bizarre.

Thanks for adding me to the stats Tea

Felt pretty off today, just knackered and run down. 28 week blood results had a note to discuss with midwife (which she said she can't do til weds annoyingly) so thinking my iron may be low which I've suspected for a while ... But she wasn't having it! We are living in a different area to when I had dd and I'm feeling much less supported etc by the mw. I know you have less appts etc 2nd time but just feels like total lack of interest.

5hell · 27/02/2016 19:39

I think a viroid has done a baby ...not saying who (not me) as don't want to steal thunder but Grin

In other news, day's plans changed completely due to friends' illness, but have been v productive and even ordered cot!!

Nfmd: kebab

Illiria · 27/02/2016 19:58

Thanks everyone, am feeling much better. Didn't have sickness really with previous bfp and only other nausea before has been from migraines.

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 27/02/2016 20:06

Thanks for the kind words everyone. And lil my DP can be a bit of a dick but it isn't his fault. He is posh and was raised at boarding school from the age of 6 as his mum had a very important career that makes her better than everyone and his dad died when he was a toddler... it is a miracle actually he isn't more repressed and awkward.

Just waiting to do my post dinner BS reading then will sample my GD brownies. The kids snaffled them up in seconds so they can't be too bad Grin

Star for your forward planning lil

Flowers disco I feel your pain re the second baby left on your own care... it is truly pants!

shell you know something we don't know! scuttkes away to look at stats

Discofairypants · 27/02/2016 20:16

Ooooh kebab 5hell I'm well jel, I've just had cauliflower cheese which wasn't half as satisfying as I thought!

And eeeep who's done a baybee??!! Exciting!

It is so strange how much it differs ... It genuinely feels like this mw just gets irritated by any questions and she just wants to fill in her forms and tick boxes. Grrr. Hey ho!

You've had such poor support sky, I feel annoyed on your behalf!

Ben and Jerry's is cheering me up now!

lildottie · 27/02/2016 20:32

Mmm Ben and Jerry's! I'm hoping dh is about to go and make angel delight!

Oooh another baby! Excited to find out which one! How do you know 5hell?

Discofairypants · 27/02/2016 20:45

'Twas delish ... Blondie Brownie Core mmmm.

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/02/2016 21:05

Is it a thread dwelling viroid?
Or FB only?

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 27/02/2016 21:24

My GD brownies were a hit! Minisky squirming and hiccuping in approval. Got to make sure i haven't spiked my glucose levels by testing every 15 mins but soooo worth the extra finger pricks. DP taking a break from a project to watch Elementary with me. See, romance isn't dead after all.

My money is on cake having done a baby!

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/02/2016 22:03

But we haven't heard from carrot today have we...?

Ooooh, exciting times!

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/02/2016 22:05

DH made shepherds pie and then I had ginger cake with clotted cream for pud Smile happy Thurs.

I can't believe that this time next week I'll have a baby. And I'll know the sex.

CarrotPuff · 27/02/2016 22:20

Still very pregnant here. Must be cake, but how do you know? Haven't seen anything on FB.

Sorry you are feeling so stressed out sky. I've heard inductions second time around are more straightforward - I did see a thread about it recently. But if you'd still prefer a CS I hope you get it. Or you go into labour nice and early! When did you go with DD?

The impossible might have just happened. We finally came up with a girl's name.

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/02/2016 22:23

Hello carrot! I was sure it was you, never mind.

The trick with names is to stop thinking about them when you get to one - over thinking is the death of many a lovely name. Also, don't tell your mum. Or maybe that's just my mum. She's basically the only lets on who doesn't know our choices Blush

honeysucklejasmine · 27/02/2016 22:41

March madness can now begin. The February warm up is complete.Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 27/02/2016 22:45

DD was 41+1 and still took 53 hours of labour and an 8 hour drip, 2 hours of pushing and 3 close calls before being delivered by ventouse and then quickly whisked away to be revived... drama queen from day 1 that child Hmm I am hoping this one is a bit more co-operative. I remember after I stopped puking a midwife said "I am sure if you weren't so tired you could have pushed her out on your own" and thinking to myself that was the last thing that I cared about and why the hell did they wait so long to help me?

I meant to say sock thank you for your advice re: trying induction but asking for an EMCS if labour doesn't progress or at the first signs of fetal distress. That really feels like an option I can live with. I don't want to take risks I don't need to and the only reason I favour a vaginal birth is for my own recovery... I am most concerned with delivering her safely and my fear is that if the induction goes pear shaped my panic and fear will make things harder and more dangerous for both of us. Anyhow your input gave me back a sense of being in control again so massively appreciated.

Blood sugars stayed level after brownies! Hurrah!

Ooooh can't wait to heatlr if there is indeed a babycake!

FuzzyOwl · 27/02/2016 22:51

Sky I had an EMCS and had a quicker recovery than some women I know who didn't. It was three days of pain when I stood up, but it was a short lasting pain, and then three weeks in total before I felt fine, although I was making sure I was being cautious and sensible for another couple of weeks. Recoveries are all different but don't automatically think you will recover from a vaginal birth quicker than a section, because it isn't always the case.

ThursdayLastWeek · 27/02/2016 22:56

I tend to agree with Fuzzy. I also had an emcs, and actually a fairly long drawn out recovery in hospital, but once I'd been sorted out and sent home my recovery was pretty swift. I was even able to go for a jog after about 5 weeks and my scar healed perfectly.

I think sock has the best suggestion for you. It sounds very similar to what my SIL chose with the birth of her second child.

Glad the brownies were success!

Maybe 5hell is psychic??

CarrotPuff · 28/02/2016 03:32

It could be me. Waters just broke.

SecondCupOfTea · 28/02/2016 04:29

Go Carrot!

(It's not me, by the way)

Illiria · 28/02/2016 04:52

Yay carrot :-)

CarrotPuff · 28/02/2016 06:24

On our way to hospital now to get checked over. Getting some contractions, but not strong yet.
