Thanks Me and Hayley, trying not to worry about it as he's certainly wriggling like a good un! And I am looking forward to seeing him again Grin

neh205 · 28/01/2016 22:54

Had a bath this evening and the struggle of getting in and then trting to get out just weren't worth it! Showers from now on.

SO excited to finally be moving!

missi sorry to hear about Zach, hope they can sort him out speedily so he can go home with you🌹

Sympathise with the car woes. You'd think they'd cut you a bit of slack when pregnant!

Has anyone got any other exercise yips for getting baby into postion?

I'm doing pregnancy yoga on sat morning now which is much more soothing than pilates

Sleep well everyone!

neh205 · 28/01/2016 22:55

Oops lots of typos, must be too sleepy right now!

ffauxlivia · 29/01/2016 00:23

neh you've probably been recommended the Spinning Babies site already? I have a feeling mini ffaux is still transverse (will find out Monday) so hoping it's not too late to start the exercises they recommend! www.spinningbabies.com

Thanks to those who gave me recommendations re. alternatives to gas and air! A TENS machine sounds like a good bet, but it seems they don't do them here either!! What is it with this country!? I can find physiotherapy tens machines on Amazon but you're supposed to use an obstetrics one, I can only find one (Elle) and it's super expensive! Will actually be cheaper to find an eBay seller in UK willing to ship. Anyway it may all be immaterial, as find out on Monday if I'll need a c-section due to placenta position, eek.

missi so sorry to hear about Zach's setback, will cross everything for you that he improves and doesn't need the surgery. Amazing that it can be done so young though, have you found any preemie groups for support? I know there is a mumsnet forum specifically for preemies, peeps there might have some experience if it's a common issue. Good luck Flowers

DH is playing classical music for baby right now, and she is actually dancing away going crazy, ah so sweet ❤️

Ohwoolballs · 29/01/2016 04:46

I've been wide awake for about half an hour. I think I'm having the old period type pains. It's been so long since I've had a period I think I've managed to forget what it feels like! I'm just achey along my back/bum and front.

Debating wether or not to just get up, have a hot choc and watch TV.

Hmmmm.

MyNameIsSuz · 29/01/2016 05:41

I'm up too wool Sad I think I've figured out that I get a really crap night, then it gradually gets better until I have a good night, then my body's all 'hahaha nope, can't have you too well rested' and I'm starting again at the crap night. Sigh. Some of it is work stress, only three weeks to go!

Ohwoolballs · 29/01/2016 05:48

suz three weeks for me too! I'm sorry about the work stress, that's really not what you need 🍰☕️
I did get up and mostly look at funny web pictures. I just went for a wee and automatically smiled into the mirror - it was terrifing! Eyebags everywhere! Hah!

MyNameIsSuz · 29/01/2016 06:04

Urgh, I'm not even going to look! My alarm just went and the last thing I want to do is get up!

scaredmum2be · 29/01/2016 06:55

Missi- sorry to hear about zachs eyes. Hope everything goes ok.
Sorry to hear about csc again. I slept from 10-4:30 with two toilet breaks. Been awake since though. Lied in the dark with my eyes closed for two hours then alarm went off. I don't understand why I didn't sleep. I was tired, no pains etc.
Shattered now but suppose shouldn't complain to much as I did get 6.5 hours sleep.
Fed up of my legs though. Every evening watching tv all they do is jerk. They visibly jump massively. My boyfriend gets kicked by accident all the time. It's so uncomfortable and leaves me in tears as I'm just unable to relax after work :(

marmiteandcheeseplease · 29/01/2016 06:57

Morning all, I actually had a decent night's sleep again, DD not up till five past 6. Amazing how being woken up at that time feels 'good'. Also, i think I've found sleep more comfortable since I started sleeping on a single duvet folded up into four - a trick my yoga teacher recommended! It's made a big difference, the padding means my hips don't hurt so much I need to wake as often to move position.

Two weeks left of work here - I can't wait but also starting to feel a bit stressed about all I need to get done. Since I'm an academic I don't really have cover and need to get my contribution to research projects done before I leave Confused

Ohwoolballs · 29/01/2016 07:04

scared I'm giving you virtual hugs - you're doing grand, I promise!

marmite tell me more about this duvet thing, folded which way? Like a giant sausage? (Sorry, tiredness trying to imagine a samosa folding.....)

Me624 · 29/01/2016 07:59

I slept better last night too, I tried the pillow between the knees trick which I've seen recommended! Not sure if that was the reason it was better or I was just so tired from the night before, but I woke briefly at 2 and 4.30 and straight back to sleep each time.

scared your restless legs must be so hard to cope with but you're doing brilliantly. Remember we're on the home straight now!

I'm 35 weeks today, 7/8 of the way through! So strange to think that I'm only 2 weeks off term, I wouldn't mind baby me coming a bit early but I'd like him to at least hold on until I've finished work thanks.

neh205 · 29/01/2016 08:59

Grr men are SUCH arses on the tube! 33 weeks pregnant with a very obvious bump surrounded by suited and booted 'gentlemen ' who all watched me struggle as I teetered in the middle of a packaged carriage. A young teenage girl spotted me and came to my rescue! That's chivalry for you!

rant over

I do think the baby on board badges are too small though. I'm going to make a whacking great big baby on board sash and see what happens!

maybebabybee · 29/01/2016 09:45

neh I feel your pain, got on a packed train today and there was a row of city boys either side, one of whom was in a priority seat, looked at my bump and my badge and then promptly started looking at his phone.

OH solved the problem very loudly by saying 'could one of you boys please stand up for my pregnant girlfriend?'

One of them got up but did so very resentfully! I don't think they realise it's not even just about the fact you're lugging about a large bump, it's that you can't get it squished or fall over!

Last day of work today!!!!

TriJo · 29/01/2016 09:52

It was the opposite on my train this morning, got a seat from a young man who pretty much jumped up as soon as he saw the Baby on Board badge. Another guy seemed to be inspired by this and offered another woman his seat... who it turned out wasn't pregnant. D'oh!

Actually slept 8 hours through last night (11:30-7:30) - but still feel like I want to go back to bed.

hayleycookie · 29/01/2016 10:21

Lol Tri I feel sorry for that second guy! At least he could just pass it off as chivalry though.
When I was around 20 weeks pregnant I had a bump (albeit a lot smaller than I am now, but still a definite 'baby' and not fat), and I was on a train which wasn't busy at all. Had my own seat and a lady came over and demanded I move because that was her usual seat. The cheek of some people! There were so many other seats around.
Also had a reasonably good stretch of sleep last night but still wake up tired and needing more! DH is away in Ireland until Monday now so I have to all the parenting by myself which is going to be extra knackering. I sense a few days of very early nights are in order.

Glad you're sleeping better Scared, and I hope your legs start behaving themselves soon enough.

Trinpy · 29/01/2016 11:52

I'm glad there's some decent people out there still willing to give up their seats for pregnant women (even if they do sometimes get it wrong!). I was starting to wonder where all the decent men had gone with all your stories of selfish pricks on the tube Sad. Really feel for those of you still struggling with a difficult commute.

missi so sorry to hear about Zach's problems with his eyes. I don't know much about laser eye surgery - I didn't even realise they could do it on tiny babies - but I hope it all goes well and that you don't have to wait too much longer to bring him home.

doc bump measurements can be inaccurate and when you think about it, it only takes a tiny amount different to put you on a completely different centile. And baby changing position can also affect it - I dropped from 91st to 75th centile in my last pregnancy just because ds had had a bit of a wriggle and changed the 'shape' of my bump. I expect they probably have to send you in asap for a growth scan though because if there was a problem then it would be seen as the mw's fault for not sending you for the scan straight away. They must send a lot of women for growth scans though because it seems like most people on this thread have been for one by now!

I am officially a member of the CSC. I've had a heavy cold for 1.5 weeks now and I've been up every night coughing Angry. The heartburn is back, as is the restless legs, and I was woken up at stupid 'o clock this morning by ds prising my eyelids open with his thumbs and whispering 'ssh, mummy asleep' Confused. Urgh, I'm done with being pregnant now. Is it my due date yet?

MyNameIsSuz · 29/01/2016 12:50

I feel the same Me, 34 weeks and only 3 weeks off full term! Seems very close now, on the one hand I can't wait but on the other I'll be very disappointed if I don't get the time off I've been looking forward to when I finish work!

I had a phone call from the doctor this morning, the midwife was right and my lightheadedness is due to low iron so they've prescribed me pills. I feel really miserable about it!

marmiteandcheeseplease · 29/01/2016 12:50

wool I fold the duvet into four, and then just lie the folded duvet on top of the sheet then lie on top of it. Basically a cheap version of a mattress topper. I also have a pillow between my knees for added support.

Sorry to hear about all the arseholes on the tube Sad

QforCucumber · 29/01/2016 13:08

maybe I'm so jealous, I would do anything to finish work today but funds will not allow (stupid SMP only) 2 weeks to go and I'm exhausted!

Just catching up on all of the others now, Will reply properly when i'm not supposed to be working all caught up Smile

Rosieblossom123 · 29/01/2016 13:10

35 weeks on Sunday and 2 weeks left at work, and same as you Trinpy I've had enough of now, I want her out, I got to the point where I can't even get in and out of the bath, showers are long and my legs ache, everything is just a mission! could even fit the crib bumper yesterday as I had to bend over slightly and as you all know that's bloody uncomfortable!! Sorry about the rant just having one of them days.

37 days to go!

BeautifulLiar · 29/01/2016 13:18

Sorry to butt in but my PRAM IS HERE!!! YAY. So excited. I had no idea it was coming as I had no emails or anything to warn me (good job I was home!) I can't wait to set it up!!
