So nice to see such happy news, sorry to hear about bad reactions too! I've had pretty good responses but my DH has had a few people be a bit like 'oh sh*t mate, are you guys going to be ok...' But I think it's just because we are quite young and newly married, but we've been ready for years!! I guess or friends can't see themselves being happy to be pregnant!

I have my scan tomorrow too... Feeling very nervous despite the fact that bump is growing every day! Guess it's normal to feel a bit scared before such a big day! Anyone else feeling the night before nerves? Xx

LouLou030783 · 14/12/2015 19:27

Me mrslewis I'm shitting myself xx

Ambergogo · 14/12/2015 20:33

Yep it's going to be a long night and morning, scan not till 1.40

dollydaydream84 · 14/12/2015 20:39

haha BabySocks - I was good and cooked pasta for my lunch, but it took too long so I ended up scoffing all sorts. Had a SW friendly evening meal. Think I need to eat a bigger brekky which will hopefully keep the hunger pangs away. I can't eat fruit except bananas which doesn't help!!

Aww good luck for tomorrow scanees! Night before I didn't hardly sleep, totally normal. I was also worse for 20 week scan last time.

How old are you mrslewis if you don't mind me asking? I think people thought we were young last time (28!) and now 3 years down the line at 31 lots of our friends have got married and have a child/trying to conceive. Funny how just a couple of years makes a difference to perceptions!

BabySocks · 14/12/2015 21:30

dotty tomorrow I will be on plan :)

Goods luck with the scans ladies, it is so nerve racking but remember the odds are forever in your favour :)

Good luck all scanees for tomorrow!! 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀

mrslewis2015 · 14/12/2015 22:02

Thanks for the support everyone, glad I'm not the only one feeling so nervous (and excited!)

Dolly I'm 25 and my DH is 26, it's a funny age because I feel about as grown up as I think I ever will feel (I guess...) but lots of friends my age say they feel the opposite! I had to grow up pretty fast so I've always had an old head and always knew I would want to have kids straight away when I met 'the one' feel very lucky to have met him so soon :)

TomboyGirl · 14/12/2015 23:50

All the best Mrs Lewis and all other scanees!

LouLou030783 · 15/12/2015 06:04

Hope everyone's scans are great today will post after mine slightly nervous x

Lovelybeano · 15/12/2015 06:46

Good luck to everyone having scans today !!!

I've gone on a cleaning mission since feeling better, planning to get everywhere gutted before the new year but it's taking ages!! I have to keep taking breaks, it's sooo frustrating!!

jbiscuits · 15/12/2015 07:37

mrslewis I know how you feel. We were 24 (me) and 25 (DH) when we had DS1, although we've been married since 20 and 21. DH also looks quite young for his age, so got a few surprised reactions when he started his new job that he already had both a wife and child Grin

Hope everyone's scans go well today!

MagicDucky · 15/12/2015 07:38

Good luck to my fellow scanees I hope you all slept well Wink

I'm super excited/nervous. Such a strange feeling!!

Weepants143 · 15/12/2015 08:03

Lovelybeano woohoo due date buds! I too am trying to do a big clean before Christmas and new year but the stopping is holding up the process somewhat. And by time I get back to starting again the original clean bit is a mess again!! Grin

Works do today and nobody knows yet - should be interesting... I'm thinking I may have to pretend I'm not well as nobody will believe I don't fancy drinking otherwise.

Good luck to all the scanees today!! Such a nerve wracking time but so exciting too x

bikingintherain · 15/12/2015 08:22

Good luck for the scans today ladies.

I was also on the younger end when starting 1st DC at 25, second at 28 and third at 31.

My day is going terribly, I feel fine but everything that I prepared for a work meeting is going tits up. My computer has shut down 4 times already and I think I am going to look incompetent! But on the other hand I just found out the baby is now the size of an avacardo and that cheered me up!

laughingGnomette · 15/12/2015 08:55

Wow biking it seems like just yesterday that they were sesame seeds! :)

Eastend2015 · 15/12/2015 09:51

Good luck for today everyone!

Arghh just had my mum on the phone "very concerned" because we used MS as an excuse not to call yesterday (to be fair, I was feeling quite grotty!). It's sweet she is trying to be helpful but "listen to your body" is the most useless advice ever! In her next breath she managed to tell me off for exercising and announce she is planning to come and stay with us after the birth! DH and I haven't even thought as far as actual birth yet! Sorry if I sound ungrateful but needed to get that off my chest!

MagicDucky · 15/12/2015 10:11

I was twenty two when I fell pregnant with my first. I got a lot of "Oh no! What are you going to do?!" Trying to explain to a bunch of 20 somethings that we planned the baby and had actually been trying for months was difficult. All my friends are still in college or uni and the "going out getting drunk every weekend" stage. I'm the only one who is engaged with a house and a car, it's a strange concept for them.

They're all excited for me this time. I think they've realised that I'm just the family sort of person.

mrslewis2015 · 15/12/2015 10:41

Just a quick one to say we have a very wriggly happy baby! Measuring bang on for the 24th June, and all looking happy!! Thanks for all the well wishes! Good luck to everyone else today xxxx
