Happy New Thread (fingers buffering crossed this works AND I can manage to post the link Confused )

I've had morning sickness (although not a lot), pain and craving for sweet things. So many people have said I will be having a girl and that's what I've said since I found out, but as long as baby is happy and healthy, I don't care what sex the baby is

LouLou030783 · 14/01/2016 18:07

Congrats on all the lovely scan news I can't believe we are all Starting 20 week scans now

MollieRos · 14/01/2016 18:27

Congratulations on the scans Snowflake and biscuits!

Spock I had almost constant nausea from about 8 weeks and threw up about once or twice a day (with a few days of endless vomiting), it just subsided a week or two ago. We're having a boy! So you can definitely have morning sickness with boys, though lots of people told me I would definitely be having a girl because of the sickness Smile

Betty79 · 14/01/2016 19:05

I had constant nausea from about 4-16 weeks! I'm having my 3rd girl. But saying that my nausea wasn't as bad with my first 2

Eastend2015 · 14/01/2016 19:33

Congatulations all on the great scan news. I'm so nervous about mine- we are having a more detailed anomaly scan as I'm epileptic and have a few underlying issues and I am just desperate to know whether all is ok. I have until 1st Feb to wait (scan buddies Kezod?) and not been feeling any movement this week which is driving me crazy!!

Violet88 · 14/01/2016 20:25

Spock I've had nausea on and off mostly at night between about week 6 and 15 ish. But only had actual vomiting once. And I'm having a boy.

Snowflake16 · 14/01/2016 20:43

spock I've had no sickness at all and I'm having a girl.

Belleboo23 · 14/01/2016 20:55

I had two weeks of sickness with my boy, ten weeks almost daily with my daughter and this time loads of nausea at any time of the day but hardly any actual sick so been different with all 3, be interesting to see what this one is!!
I heard a new one today that your leg hair grows slower with a girl and quicker so you need to shave more with a boy something to do with hormones.....thought I'd heard all the old wives tales by now!!

TomboyGirl · 14/01/2016 21:36

Hi everyone!

Been a bit quiet for a while....had my 20 week scan today and I am pleased all went well! It was a huge relief coz I was beginning to get worried that my bump was developing rather slowly. All that's been put to rest now...I just have a small bump, that's all. Baby's measurement were all within range. All I can hope for now is all the best for the remaining period! Smile

Good luck to all those waiting on their scans, xx

PS: I am Team Yellow! Opted to wait for my surprise for another few months! Smile

cautiousoptimist1 · 14/01/2016 22:04

Congratulations to all of today's scannees, it's getting exciting now and suddenly feels closer.

My scan is in 2 weeks (buddies earlgrey?) so I still have a bit of a wait. I'm getting my energy back now so attempting to organise some home improvements in the next 2 weeks which should help time fly.

I think I felt movement today, not completely sure. I had a nightmare journey to work as it took 2 hours and 45 minutes so I think bean was impatient too! I was so glad I didn't have a drink before I left for work!

Spock27 · 14/01/2016 22:31

Thanks all for letting me know that myth is just another old tale, I will be happy with whatever we have but the number of people who have told me without a shadow of a doubt that I'm having a girl is getting quite annoying! I would love a girl or a boy, so long as it's healthy :)

My scan has annoyingly been changed from Monday to Wednesday next week so I'm going to have to cancel and move meetings around as I'd arranged to work from home on Monday. Gah!

Torfhinn · 14/01/2016 23:03

Wow, major pelvic pain flair up today Sad. Anyone else in the 'sometimes it's too painful to move' club? Putting off going to bed because i can't face standing up Shock

MagicDucky · 15/01/2016 00:55

Congratulations to the scanees today!

I have some MAJOR tail bone pain today, struggling to walk and actually cried getting out of the car and off the couch. Hope this clears soon or I'll be spending most of my time lying down!

17caterpillars1mouse · 15/01/2016 02:59

I've had such pain yesterday and now today as I've got up. Feels like being stretched then repeatedly stabbed in the belly button. It is so painful. Anyone experienced this or any idea what the pains are?
Congrats on all the scans. Mine is on Tuesday and still very much team yellow though convinced I'm by having a boy despite sickness continuing still since week 6

jbiscuits · 15/01/2016 06:30

Sympathies to everyone else experiencing pelvic pain too. I think I'm going to have to beg a lift off someone to toddler group today, as I just can't face the walk. Even rolling over in bed was making me yelp through the night.

On a different note, has anyone else found people's reactions to telling them the sex amusing? My family have been absolutely gushing about it being a boy. I'm sure the responses would be exactly the same if it was a girl!

JellyBaby26 · 15/01/2016 07:13

Scan today - almost certainly going to be late . Need to leave in 50 mins . Still feeding DD who takes ages, then she needs breakfast and dressing as do I. Urgh!

Anyone else today ? I had a dream I saw people I k ow in the waiting room, fx that doesnt happen!

Belvedere · 15/01/2016 07:21

Good luck jelly! I did see someone I knew in the waiting room last time, I think she was quite surprised to see me as she hadn't told anyone she was pregnant!

JellyBaby26 · 15/01/2016 07:22

In my dream I hid (it was my chavvy cousin). Definitely the type of thing I'd do.

Potkettleblack2 · 15/01/2016 08:38

Jelly I'm today too-but not until the afternoon. I'm nervous!! We're not finding out the sex.
I had my first bit of morning sickness last night. At 19+6! It was horrible so my sympathies to those who have had it bad!

Belleboo23 · 15/01/2016 09:12

Good luck for today's scans!!
It's been a week now since I've been or felt sick but still very limited on what I fancy to eat

Lovelybeano · 15/01/2016 10:01

Hi ladies, I haven't been around for a while, my daughters performing in the local panto so I've been running around like a looney for weeks, when I stop I fall asleep lol, hope everyone's well, I'll try and catch up on the posts between the chores today :)

JellyBaby26 · 15/01/2016 11:24

Ah we are team blue. Super happy and it's probably for the best he's a he not a she !

Lovelybeano · 15/01/2016 11:43

Congratulations jellybaby!!

Just had a quick scan and can see that people have started talking prams - I've bought a silver cross surf, mainly I wanted something that would last the 2 hourly school so the wheels and comfort of the pram and pushchair was the main concern for me. I bought it second hand from a friend of a friend who only used it for about 6 months before switching to a buggy, popped it away for her next child and she's expecting twins!! There's only a few little scuffs from popping it on and out of the car, lots of accessories some of which haven't been used, so I managed to get the base, carrycot, pushchair, car seat, isofix base, 2 X raincovers, net cover, cosytoes & parasol all red & black so good for boy or girl, for £270 so I'm really pleased Grin I'm going to replace the mattress in the carrycot but that's about it ! One big purchase crossed off the list xx

AmIseeingRight · 15/01/2016 11:54

congratulations on all the baby news, team Blue has caught up with pink Grin. jbiscuits my mum was convinced it was a girl so she kept asking for them to double check at the scan while both OH & brother were keen for a boy so they are on cloud 9, mum is so happy as its her first grandchild so she wasn't disappointed much lol.

OH is responsible for pram but i'm worried as he thought a stroller would be great for baby as its small Hmm. oh well, will have to wait and see what he gets.

At my 20 wks scan I found out I have a low lying placenta and will have another scan at 32 weeks to see if it has moved upwards, which happens in 9/10 cases but cant help worrying that i could be the 1/10 where it doesn't move.

Mrspopper · 15/01/2016 12:17

I'm today too. Good luck everyone x
