Well I can't believe I am doing this but I am petrified the old thread is about to get filled up and we are going to loose people. ...

Happy New Thread (fingers buffering crossed this works AND I can manage to post the link Confused )

Sorry ladies but I just need to vent. DS is going through 18 month sleep regression and teething at the same time. He's been up most of the night and not slept past 4am for nearly 2 weeks and I am totally exhausted. DH is away for 8 weeks with very little contact and I'm so bloody tired and emotional.

mrsmugoo · 15/01/2016 14:02

Oh god that sounds bloody tough Biffle :(

My DH works away a lot and I know how relentless it can be when it's just you doing everything day in, day out - with added sleep deprivation too!

So you work outside the home too? Was going to suggest maybe taking a sick day just to have a day at home by yourself?

Luckily my DS, 22 months is a solid sleeper but I usually wake up between 4-6 and can't get back to sleep so I'm in a continual state of zombification!

Hi ladies good luck for all the scans today x
I saw my consultant today and she was very posative about me having a natural delivery this time round . Had to have twin 2 by emergency c section last time . I'm so made up I really don't want an other section . She's also booked me in for 3 growth scans for after my next scan in 3 week . So give me something to look forward to every few weeks getting to have a peak on how baby is doing x x

Potkettleblack2 · 15/01/2016 15:45

All went well at the scan and we are definitely still team yellow (which is what we wanted)-we couldn't make out anything at all!
I have to go back again for a scan on Monday as it didn't show it's spine. And my placenta is low also AmIseeing so I've to go back at 32 weeks too-this baby is going to be very well scanned! It was reassuring that I'd read your post just before my scan as it made the low placenta seem like more of a normal thing!

TomboyGirl · 15/01/2016 16:07

Congratulations to all those who've had scans and those waiting!

BiffleRoo · 15/01/2016 16:15

mrsmugoo unfortunately I don't work outside the home so no chance of pulling a sicky. I'll survive of course but am definitely running on empty right now.

MollieRos · 15/01/2016 17:47

Congratulations to the scanees from today!

Biffle that does sound really tough, I hope your DS starts sleeping a bit better soon for you.

And really sorry to everyone suffering with pelvic pain- it sounds awful.

Mrspopper · 15/01/2016 17:58

Scan was good. Pot we 're at the same hospital I think (!) get confused with user names. I also have to go back to look at spine... We might have had the same sonographer, she said all the babies were playing up today!

Smiler81 · 15/01/2016 19:27

I'm getting very jealous of everyone having their scans. I've still got another three weeks to wait, seeing the midwife next week but can't wait for the scan. I've been having quite a bit of back pain over the last few weeks, but today it's miraculously disappeared, strange but hopefully I can start enjoying the second trimester!

Still deciding whether to find out the sexes!

Shopping with mum tomorrow so I'm sure we'll be having a potter around a few baby shops, too hard to resist. That and I really need to get some maternity clothes as my trousers are at bursting point!

dollydaydream84 · 15/01/2016 20:00

Ahh sounds so exciting hearing everyone finding out if they are having boys or girls! We've got a 4 week wait as scan is at 21weeks due to when consultant could see us - we are staying team yellow anyway but I'm much more tempted to find out the gender this time.

I am 17+0 today, hadn't felt movements until about 16+2 and then only a few. Not had any for about 3 days now. If anyone else posted that they were worried I'd tell them not to but I'm struggling to take my own advice. When are we supposed to start monitoring movements? Thanks in advance.

Eastend2015 · 15/01/2016 20:47

Hi Dolly- that was me! I spoke to the midwife and she said not to worry, they don't start monitoring until 24 weeks. I think the moments have started again but gentler than before. Another 2 weeks til my scan 😳

Spock27 · 15/01/2016 20:47

dolly I was having similar worries a couple of days ago but baby has started back with a vengeance. I think it's about 28 weeks, so much space to move about before that and the baby can move towards your back where you'd be less likely to feel it. Mention it to your midwife though for peace of mind, I'm sure she'll be able to confirm with a doppler that all is well :)

AmIseeingRight · 15/01/2016 23:30

potkettle very well scanned baby here too and glad my post helped Smile.

dolly and spock I'm 20wks and haven't felt much (or anything that I'm sure about) but its my first pregnancy and they said I should start feeling baby by 24 weeks Hmm feels like forever away lol, have been watching since wk 16 but also waiting for the bump to turn up, so I can feel properly pregnant.

MadrigalElectromotive · 16/01/2016 05:13

Urge, been awake since 4.30am and no sign of getting back to sleep. Why?! Confused

Congratulations to all the recent scannees - can't believe we are at the halfway point already!

Mrspopper · 16/01/2016 09:05

Forgot to say. Made a last minute decision to find out sex and it's a girl! I really thought it was a boy so am brainstorming girl names! It's actually really nice to know and made it all feel more real some how but totally get wanting a suprise. I didn't decide until end of scan!

nehagarg · 16/01/2016 10:35

Loving the latest scan news. That was quite an interesting twist mrspopper .. What made you change your mind? Smile

Btw, Its that time of the thread again. We are almost out of space here. I've created a new one. Here is the link in case you can't find it on the Ante-Natal clubs forum.
