geneva ds was a June baby and I've always predominantly used a sling with him. Started with a stretchy and then woven. I just put less on him when it was hot. He's 19 mths now and I still wear him, will wear them both when nipper arrives.

earlgreydrinker · 13/01/2016 20:36

Hello to all the new joiners Smile. Lovely to hear all tha scan news. I've got to wait a fortnight yet-arrrggghh!

I'm totally banned by DH from looking at prams but that might be because we have 5 (and one child) Shock
I tried a stretchy type sling last time and it just didn't work for me so definitely going to look at something more structured this time round as it is very handy when you don't always want to get the pram out. I also had baba sling which was brilliant when DD was a bit older and would sit on my hip.

MagicDucky · 13/01/2016 21:14

Poking my nose into the pram chat!

I really want a new pram for 3 reasons

  1. The carrycot and shopping basket one the one I have is tiny.
  2. Not sure DD will be able to cope with long walks so want something that can turn into a double for that.
  3. I just want a nice shiny new one!!

OH says no. "Blah blah blah we don't need it, blah blah blah I'm not spending that much, blah blah blah the one we've got is fine blah frikin' blah"

Spotted an Icandy Apple to pear on gumtree at a really good price so might just buy it without telling him. Ohhhh naughty

laughingGnomette · 13/01/2016 22:35

Oh Mollie what a nightmare! Baby brain is such a pain.

I don't know if any of you are beer drinkers but I saw this and thought it might be interesting to those that are: Alcohol-free beer: the best and worst – taste test

seafoodeatit · 13/01/2016 23:52

laughingGnomette - I read that today, I'm planning on getting a few bottles of the one from M&S.

we're just going to use our old buggy as it's not had much use - a bugaboo bee + - it's perfect for us as we have 0 storage space in our house.

We have a close caboo carrier I'm hoping to use for the first couple of months, I hope it won't be too hot.

Scan today! I would be nervous, but currently my focus is on getting out of bed. My hip pain is getting so bad I'm not sure I'll be able to put much weight on my leg when I stand up Sad I would make a Dr's appointment, but it's a 20 minute walk to the surgery Confused

Can't remember who recommended it, but the Joovy stroller looks really good, except for the fact it's not suitable from newborn. I'll keep it in mind as an option though, thanks!

Snowflake16 · 14/01/2016 07:08

Good luck with your scan today jbiscuits
I've got mine at 9am, didn't sleep very well at all last night. I'm so nervous.

Belleboo23 · 14/01/2016 07:17

Good luck jbiscuits and snowflake, are you both finding out if your pink or blue?
I've decided once we find out next Wednesday I'll get myself back to the pram shop our local one has offers until the end of January

bikingintherain · 14/01/2016 07:22

All the best for today ladies!

MiraclesDoHappen82 · 14/01/2016 07:38

Good luck to those having scans today.

Belvedere · 14/01/2016 07:44

Scan today here too. I slept badly last night, same before my last scan.

I'd love to say I can grab an early night tonight but have a work exam tomorrow so will need to spend the evening revising Sad

JellyBaby26 · 14/01/2016 08:07

Good luck today ladies!!

nehagarg · 14/01/2016 08:16

Good luck everyone. Hope your hip pain subsides jbiscuits. That sounds horrendous. Can midwife not refer you to a physio?

mrsmugoo · 14/01/2016 08:21

Good luck to the scanees today!

MadrigalElectromotive · 14/01/2016 08:29

Good luck to those getting scans today!

laughingGnomette · 14/01/2016 08:54

Good luck jbiscuits, snowflake, Bel and anyone else with a scan today!

And good luck for the exam Bel, I hope it's not too tough.

I've been awake since 3:45. Bloody insomnia.

emma85x · 14/01/2016 10:19

Good luck to everyone having scans today!! Looking forward to hearing some more teach blue/pink news later on today! x

Betty79 · 14/01/2016 10:34

Good luck to scannes today, my 20 week scan is next Tuesday. Looking toward to seeing our little bubs again Smile

jbiscuits · 14/01/2016 10:39

Scan went well here. We're having another boy Grin apparently his head is right down in my pelvis, so I wonder if that explains some of the discomfort I'm feeling.

I probably could get a physio referral Nehagarg. It just seems like a lot of hassle when I'm not convinced it'll actually help much. I might see if it's still this bad next week. The trouble is that I still need to walk everywhere with DS, as he doesn't do very well with being stuck in all day.

JellyBaby26 · 14/01/2016 10:52

Congrats biscuits!

I have a feeling I will be team blue after 18 weeks of thinking the opposite...

I'll be using a carrier for little one when they arrive I think. We have a moby and a connecta. I think I'll look into carrying both at the same time if dd is able to do a back carry by then. If not one will be carried and one pushed. Saying that though I bet I'll buy a double!!

laughingGnomette · 14/01/2016 12:19

Great news jbiscuits!!!

Belvedere · 14/01/2016 12:25

Naughty baby wouldn't cooperate today so I've got to go back in three weeks! Everything she checked was ok though, fingers crossed the rest is all good.

Excellent news on other scans.

Snowflake16 · 14/01/2016 12:48

The scan went really well, everything is great with the baby. We did have a bit of a shock when we found out the sex, I was convinced we were having a boy and it turns out it's a girl. Smile

nehagarg · 14/01/2016 15:47

Congratulations everyone. Glad all is well. :)

Spock27 · 14/01/2016 16:49

Congratulations everyone! Good to know everyone's scans are going well. It'd be interesting to know if everyone who experienced morning sickness is having a girl? I've got it in my head I've got a boy but everyone else thinks differently, and I had morning sickness.
