Happy New Thread (fingers buffering crossed this works AND I can manage to post the link Confused )

Fab review of the Pioneer, thanks jbiscuits! Huge congrats Mollie

My scan is at 8.30 tomorrow morning - I'm relieved it's early, stops me fretting all day. Nothing I can discern as baby movement so far either jelly.

LouLou030783 · 12/01/2016 15:42

I'm going pram shopping beginning of Feb liking the venecci at the moment however the air tyres are kinda putting me off will wait and see what happens. Also contemplating booking a gender scan too impatient to wait till 20 weeks x

Mrspopper · 12/01/2016 15:54

We also have the city jogger mini gt... Love love love it. Friends with uppa baby (?) said ours was much easier to push with one hand. Narrow enough to get on buses. Easy to fold. Really reccommend and not silly price.

JellyBaby26 · 12/01/2016 16:12

On the pram front we currently have a cameleon 3 . I love it it's so lovely to push!

Positives - pushes well, looks good, when you want to change to pushchair you haven't got a massive carry cot to store, light, easy to put to get her and put up and down

Negatives - cost, can't make into double, if you want accessories such as gootmuff they have to be bugaboo and therefore £££ , doesn't fold the smallest

Belleboo23 · 12/01/2016 16:18

Our pram shop had a lovely bugaboo set on offer for 600 without car seat but with carrycot and seat unit. Hood was bright pink though and we haven't found out yet!!

JellyBaby26 · 12/01/2016 16:22

You can get colour packs separately ! I would buy it as you can always sell the pink and buy another colour...that's a very good deal!

Potkettleblack2 · 12/01/2016 16:27

I've such a headache I'm struggling to function!
We have a bugaboo Cameleon too and agree with all jelly said-another positive is their sell on value!
My friend has a joolz buggy and it's the most stylish one I've seen (navy blue with tan leather trimmings),
But she said leaves and twigs sometimes get caught when she walks and also the shopping carrier is too small-I think they may have changed that though

carrie1008 · 12/01/2016 16:49

Cosatto have a deal on until the end of Jan that when you buy the Giggle 2 the car seat is free - www.cosatto.com/explore-our-range/products/travel-systems/travel-systems/giggle-2/firebird

I think we're inheriting SIL travel system, but I'll buy a new car seat to be on the safe side.

Congrats to everyone's scans - mine isn't for three weeks...seems so far away!!

Snowflake16 · 12/01/2016 16:59

My BP was fine the last time it was taken (about 4 weeks ago) so I'm not sure it's that either. I have been feeling better the last few day though.

I'm another one looking into buying the Pioneer, thanks for the review jbiscuits I think if everything is ok with baby on Thursday I'll be heading over to Mothercare to buy it before the car seat offer finishes.

Congrats madrigal and Mollie on your scans.

Betty79 · 12/01/2016 17:17

We have bought the oyster 2, got it from mothercare when they had an offer on a free car seat. I would have liked an icandy peach but couldn't warrant spending that much, and I wanted a new one. I'm happy with the oyster, have had it out if the box to look at and its really nice.

emma85x · 12/01/2016 17:32

Madrigal -- Congratulations!!

Mollie -- Congratulations!!

Scarface -- Welcome! Smile

cautiousoptimist1 · 12/01/2016 17:35

Congrats on today's scans Mollie and madrigal. Is there a sense of relief now it's done and the countdown can begin?

Oh the prams! Why is there so much choice? I'm another looking at silver cross pioneer of Icandy strawberry so thank you for the reviews of pioneer. I think that's the one I'm edging towards. My scan isn't until end of Jan though so I think I'll miss the car seat offer.

emma85x · 12/01/2016 17:36

I have my heart set on the Bugaboo Cameleon 3!

MadrigalElectromotive · 12/01/2016 18:01

Thanks everyone, and big congrats to Mollie on your boy!

I am going to try to relax as best I can now and enjoy the pregnancy, but I'm not sure I'll ever stop worrying tbh. Confused

I am thinking of going for either the Uppababy Vista or the Joolz Geo - want to go and try them both out.

laughingGnomette · 12/01/2016 18:46

Congratulations MadrigalElectromotive and Mollie!!

JellyBaby - perhaps the position of your placenta is stopping you from feeling anything?

Spock27 · 12/01/2016 18:51

I went with the Pioneer! I love the extendable handle (both oh and I are about 6ft), big basket and manoeuvrability. Also really easy to put up and down and I think goes down with pushchair so you don't have to take it apart, though haven't tried this.

The deal from mothercare is great, and mothercare will help show you how to put it together and take apart and show you how to fit the car seat in. We also tested fitting it all into the boot and it fits into our Nissan Almera if that helps anyone!

MollieRos · 12/01/2016 18:57

Good luck for tomorrow Princess!

The sonographer also told me I have an anterior, so that maybe explains why I have days when i don't feel anything at all. And thinking about it all the kicks I have felt have been more towards the sides.

Cautious as ever I don't really think I've taken in the information still to be honest! So not sure it really feels much different.

Prams... we've kindly been offered secondhand ones from a couple of friends, so we're really lucky. Narrowing our options down can only be a good thing too- who knew there were so many different types of buggies?!!

Sorry to those people feeling ill, I hope everyone starts blooming soon Smile

HarleyQuinn90 · 12/01/2016 20:52

I had my scan this morning and was really shocked to find out it's a girl! I was adamant it was a boy I've never been wrong in my previous pregnancies Blush but I'm over the moon I now have two of each, I wasn't bothered either way but it's nice to be even Grin I am mourning the loss of this really cool batman crib set I had my heart set on.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the silver cross wayfairer and the pioneer? The only difference I can see is the pioneer is suitable for all terrains. I can't quite see myself going off roading with the baby so I might go for the wayfairer unless the car seat offer is still on when i buy it.

CharlW1 · 12/01/2016 20:57

Lovely scan news!! I've booked a private scan for Friday and hoping they'll be able to tell us the sex.
I'm feeling some flutters now which is lovely. With DD I didn't feel any movement until week 24! I kept worrying about it but the midwife said it was the position of my placenta.

Hope those who are feeling unwell feel better soon Flowers

Belvedere · 12/01/2016 21:24

How exciting charl! What's your guess?

I've felt much less this time round which has been worrying me but my private scan said my placenta was anterior so hopefully it will all be fine. I can get it all confirmed on Thursday :)

cautiousoptimist1 · 12/01/2016 21:43

Congratulations Harley.

I saw both pioneer and wayfarer in a shop and the wayfarer has a much smaller basket (and I think wheels) but otherwise not much as far as I could see.

emma85x · 12/01/2016 22:11

Congratulations Harley

MollieRos · 12/01/2016 22:13

Congratulations Harley!

just spotted I meant to put anterior placenta in my last post Smile

I love the names of all the pushchairs... how on earth do they come up with them?!! It's a bit like paint colours Smile

TomboyGirl · 12/01/2016 22:18

Congratulations Madrigal, Mollie and Harley!! Smile

To Scarface, welcome to the group!

JellyBaby26 · 12/01/2016 22:45

A friend had the wayfarer and got rid as it rubbish for where she lived so that's something to bare in mind...the terrain you will be walking on. She lives in a quiet tow and often would walk by a canal. Pushchair was so bad she just ended up carrying her all the time...
