Hey all, hope everyone had a good weekend.
nicky I have a problem with someone at work who happens to be my line manager! I let her really upset me earlier in the pregnancy and had recurrent migraines because of it. Just keep thinking of your baby every time they piss you off and try to rise above it!

I had a scan yesterday for my cervix. It's a bit shorter than last time, only 1.7cm long. It's still stable and closed so I won't be checked again for another 3 weeks, but it is a worry.

I'm on my way to my midwife appointment. I'm going to be in the bad books! I haven't had one since 8 weeks Blush
I didn't read my instructions properly so didn't realise I was meant to have one at 16 weeks. Then I cought get an appointment for my 25 week, I'm now 27 and think I'll get told off. I have been in and out with scans etc though so I feel like I've been seen a lot!

odog I get that weird tightening too. Dehydration does seem to make it worse. It really worried me at one stage!

PollyPocket100 · 02/02/2016 15:15

I think I've worked out how to create a spreadsheet for our stats! What headings would we like?

GunShotResidue · 02/02/2016 15:21

Glad you're safe cant, hope you have a good time! I'm very jealous, I love india.

Hope your appointment went well Daphne!

Polly maybe nickname, due date, sex (if known), the DC number it will be? Eg mine would be GunShotResidue/19.5.16/Boy/2?

Daphnedolittle · 02/02/2016 17:24

Age and location might be a couple of extra headings too. Can see if anyone's nearby Smile

frozensmoothie · 02/02/2016 18:09

Works for me! Have just added my stats in. Thanks for setting it up!

PollyPocket100 · 02/02/2016 18:19

Brilliant!

Southy84 · 02/02/2016 18:44

Sorry for the delay we like the bugaboo cameleon jeffro in regards to your flights a friend of ours had the same situation last year and added baby to the flight once they were born.

My nausea is back full force odog I thought I was coming down with something but I feel like I did in the early days so I don't think I am, I'm fed up with feeling sick again!

Hope you're ok nicky ignore the stupid person at work, they are probably on a power trip and you can laugh inside that you'll be out of there soon Grin

Hi cant glad you arrived safely, sorry you haven't been feeling 100% but hopefully that's the last of that and you can enjoy the rest of your holiday.

Sorry to hear about your cervix daphne do they know why its shortening? Don't worry about your appointments, like you say it's not like you haven't been being monitored. What did you me say?

Thanks for the spreadsheet polly I will see if I can add myself.

Hi to everyone else- sorry catching up quick on my phone and heading for the gaviscon... Yep the heartburn seems to have started :(

Southy84 · 02/02/2016 18:45

Sorry daphne that should have said what did your mw say

GrouchyKiwi · 02/02/2016 18:52

Hi all. Hope you had lovely weekends. I had a good birthday and am now feeling very old.

Glad you're having a nice time in India, cant.

Thanks for the new spreadsheet, Polly. I've added my details so hope it worked!

I spent 4 hours yesterday going through the baby clothes we have. Cannot believe how many different little outfits there are - and I have 4 bags of baby clothes for charity! I've separated things into the first month, 0-3 months, 3-6, etc, so I'm feeling quite organised.

We're going to move the girls in together soon so will be buying new furniture for them. Which means that I can then get the baby's room painted and rearranged. She'll be sleeping with us for at least the first 4 months, but it will be good to have the room sorted for nappy changing, etc.

PollyPocket100 · 02/02/2016 19:53

You've just reminded me, Southy! Forgot to pick up gaviscon today. May have to get DP to dash out for some before bed as last night without it was awful!

I've been going through clothes almost daily grouchy, I just love looking through all his little outfits!

ODog · 02/02/2016 21:35

Thanks for them spreadsheet polly, I will try to add myself. I think we will soon need a new thread too.

Sorry to hear about your sickness southy. I think mine was actually my sinuses flaring up a bit. Just so happens that when I get it the symptoms are very similar to early pregnancy except the earache which I got yesterday and finally worked it out. I feel much better today though and hoping if DS sleeps well a good nights sleep should sort it.

Sorting through baby clothes was so bittersweet for me as I had to get rid of most of DS's things (although he does have quite a few clothes from the girls sections anyway - loves baby boy in leggings!). However, my friend gave me all of her little girls newborn up to 6-9m clothes so they are all sorted through now which was nice.

ParsnipSoup · 02/02/2016 22:57

Thanks for the spreadsheet Polly... I think I've added myself!!

ODog · 03/02/2016 07:55

I can't seem to add myself. Does someone mind doing it for me?
Odog/28/Essex/6th may/boy/2

Thanks and sorry to be so incompetent!

GunShotResidue · 03/02/2016 07:56

I think I've added myself too, I put somerset as location as we'll be there soon! Thanks Polly

A friend has offered me some of her old boys clothes, I'm going to pick them up today and then go through DD's bits this weekend. I started really organised, the first few sizes are vacuum packed away by size and girls/unisex, but the last few sizes have just been thrown in the cupboard! My challenge for the weekend is to tackle the dumping ground cupboard.

Heartburn is horrible, sorry to hear others are suffering too! My bedside table is full of rennies and gaviscon.

ODog · 03/02/2016 08:15

Ahh I'm not having a boy I'm having a girl! I'm losing the plot!

Nicky333 · 03/02/2016 12:31

I think I've added myself too.

I'm not letting work colleague get to me. I don't care. I don't care. I don't care. Repeating that does the trick Grin

Southy84 · 03/02/2016 18:43

Glad you had a good birthday grouchy and you aren't old!

We haven't bought baby many clothes, we've been told by friends that people will buy clothes and we will have so many we won't be able to use them all- this has kind of put me off buying much. Do I need to buy more than I think? I am not one to rely on people for gifts but hate things being wasted/being worn only a couple of times so I'm scared of buying too much.

Like the 'don't care' thoughts nicky Grin

Would someone mind added me to the stats too? Can't do it on my phone> Southy84- 31- Hampshire - 16/05/16- ? - DC1. Thanks x

frozensmoothie · 03/02/2016 19:42

I've entered your stats in Southy

We've only bought a set of 7 vests from the Asda baby event and a vest/hat/babygro set from Tesco. My Gran has a also knitted 6 cardigans but we've got no other clothes yet.

We also ordered a rug for the nursery which arrived today!

May 2016 - May the sickness end soon!
GrouchyKiwi · 03/02/2016 19:43

I'd buy a small number of small sized things - say 6 vests, 6 baby grows, scratch mitts, hats, cardigan for a cold day and bootees if you like them. Then you can see what you get from friends and what you need to buy from there. Babies live in baby grows for the first month or two anyway.

I had so many things for DD1 that I could have put her in a new outfit every day for about a month. I wish I had taken a photo of each day and made a blog. She had some adorable things. Grin

ODog I've put your details in.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/02/2016 19:45

That is such a cute rug, frozen.

I ordered paint samples today. I'm pretty sure I know which colour we'll be putting in the baby's room but will be interesting to see if it looks as nice as I think it will. Our house is completely white right now so it will be wonderful to have colour in it.

frozensmoothie · 03/02/2016 19:48

Sorry ODog I missed your post about adding your stats in too!

PearlyFish · 03/02/2016 19:50

Hi all, sorry haven't been on here for a while. I am much better at keeping up on FB.

Feels like we are rounding the corner for the final stretch now! I'm looking forward to sorting through baby clothes soon - had put it off as our washing machine broke and we only just got it replaced.

26+5 here and only 7 weeks left at work! I'm a bit decrepit today with a cold and now a bad back. Am blaming the bad back on the fact that I had to miss yoga due to the cold, so I'll try to do some yoga with my DVD as soon as I feel up to it.

ODog · 03/02/2016 19:52

We had bought loads of newborn size stuff for DS and none of it fit him. He was 8lb 15oz but ridiculously long. He is still super tall. Then people bought loads of stuff and he literally wore most outfits once or twice.

Thanks for adding my details grouchy.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 04/02/2016 12:06

Hi all! Is there a new thread too? Don't want to miss it! Could someone please add me to the stats too? 37 - London - 05/05/05 - surprise - #1!
Sitting in a cafe in Goa surrounded by flys and hippies (no, really!!). Having a relatively chilled time here though I am CRAZY exhausted, we spent yesterday at the beach and although I enjoyed it I ended up so exhausted that I felt like I was having an out of body experience by dinner time which was weird and a bit scary!! I seem to be having alternate days of feeling ok and crappy but then I think that's the same at home, and there I don't have the added bonuses of beach/pool-time, yummy food and friends to hang out with, so it's all good! Sorry to make you all jealous but glad everyone is doing ok!
