Bish had a spreadsheet but I've not seen her around for a while.

I'm a bit jealous of you guys getting to buy the bigger things. Grin We've got everything we need, pretty much, though we just had to replace the pushchair. I do miss looking for fun baby things.

Definitely agree with getting some stuff now. Means you don't have to do so much in the last few weeks.

Polly Hope you have a great day with your niece.

PollyPocket100 · 30/01/2016 12:56

Thanks Grouchy! Have a lovely birthday Grin

ljjeffro · 30/01/2016 18:23

Thought I'd already posted what I'm about to write but it seems I haven't, so if you get this twice I'm very sorry.
What pushchair are you getting southy?
Does anyone have any experience with booking flights for an un-born baby? We were originally meant to be going to Dubrovnik on 28th May which is not happening now due to obvious reasons! We are changing the booking for the hotel to go in September. I'm sure adding the baby to the hotel booking will be fine, but I'm not quite sure about booking flights, as obviously we don't know dob or name etc. We haven't booked any flights yet but was hoping to do it soon as they're really cheap at the moment. I'm thinking it might be best to just wait till its born.

PollyPocket100 · 30/01/2016 18:41

Just popping on with a very quick update as it made me giggle. Birthday niece has just asked me (with a very concerned look on her face) if it's going to hurt me when the baby 'comes out'. Didn't want to upset her or her special day so I told a big, fat lie and said no!

Pikz · 31/01/2016 07:36

Jeffrio just ring the airline when they are born. They are used to it and all they really worry about is that you have a passport.

27 weeks today. 6 weeks til I finish work. Flying past now. We have all the big stuff from DS but I'm enjoying doing up DS's big boy room instead :)

GunShotResidue · 01/02/2016 07:22

Hope you had a good birthday grouchy!

ODog A bit late, but I've just made DD an 'entrainment backpack' as part of my new years resolution to be more organised. It's got colouring books and board books in it for when we're at restaurants etc and she loves it. DH suggested getting her something from the baby, not sure what yet though.

That's so cute Polly! It's funny what kids think of.

I keep seeing loads of bargins in the baby events, but I can't justify buying anything as we've saved everything from DD! Did buy some blue sleepsuits for my hospital bag though!

frozensmoothie · 01/02/2016 10:40

Hope everyone had a good weekend! We started to buy a few baby bits, got a little baby-gro set, a rug for the nursery and started on a bit a DIY and putting shelves up.

27+1 today and I leaked my first little bit of colostrum which I felt strangely excited about!

Got my 28 week bloods and lucozade test on Friday but they can't fit me in for my 28 week appointment until I'm 29 weeks. I got told off again by the GP receptionist for not booking it earlier, even though the midwife said I couldn't book it until I had booked the bloods appointment and they don't allow you to book the bloods appointment more than 7 days in advance so not sure what I was meant to do! Hmm

ODog · 01/02/2016 11:12

My boobs have started leaking a tiny bit at night too frozen. Really looking forward to BF again. DH keeps telling me I'm remembering it through rose tinted glasses.

Don't worry about not having appt until 29 weeks - it won't matter. The clinic I was attached to last time only ran fortnightly so I was always a week ahead or behind on appts.

The backpack sounds lovely gunshot. That's the idea I have for DS while I'm BF, but I guess it will also be useful when out and about too.

I'm 26+3 today and have felt dreadful for the last week. Back to first tri tiredness/headaches/nausea/backache. I don't remember feeling so bad at this stage with DS. Does anyone know if there is a hormone surge around this time or maybe I'm just a bit run down. Really need to get back to yoga to see if that help. Sorry for the moan.

Pikz · 01/02/2016 11:16

Odog I had that most of last week. I have to admit I am finding this a lot tougher this time and vomited again this morning. No idea on growth spurts but I think toddler + pregnancy is hard.

Frozen I am 27+1 too :) leaking a little as of last week just at night.

I am willing the next 6 weeks at work away I have to admit.

ODog · 01/02/2016 11:20

My last day is 8th March. I only work 2 days and I wfh and I'm still wishing them away.

frozensmoothie · 01/02/2016 11:35

Thanks ODog, good to know that it doesn't matter being a week behind on appointments.

My last day at work will be 1st April so still another 2 months to go which feels like ages still! Trying to break it up a bit by working one day a week at home or taking holiday so I'm only in the office for 4 days a week. I'm definitely willing the next 2 months away.

fizzydrink1807 · 01/02/2016 12:54

aw my last day at work is 22nd April, feels like ages away. will start working from home at the end of march though

ODog · 01/02/2016 13:33

Well my actual mat leave starts on 11th April but I have loads of annual leave left over that I accrued on my last may leave and I have to use that by end of March hence the early finish. I don't mind though. I am looking first to spending time with DS before he has to share me.

fizzydrink1807 · 01/02/2016 13:51

when are you due ODog? My maternity leave properly starts on 23rd May but got annual leave to use up. Have got Feb half term off though and a week at Easter so is broken up nicely

I think i have started nesting already. We threw loads of stuff out that we don't need at the weekend lol

Pikz · 01/02/2016 14:06

Odog I'm in exactly the same boat. I finish 11th March but mat leave doesn't start until 25th April

I too am looking forward to time with DS and also some rest. Really struggling at work today

frozensmoothie · 01/02/2016 14:57

I'm in the same boat too, my maternity leave starts on 29th April but taking 4 weeks holiday before, so last day is 1st April. Hopefully I'll be able to survive at work until then!

Nicky333 · 01/02/2016 16:50

Can somebody please give me a slap and tell me that I shouldn't let one idiot at work piss me off so much, when I'll only be here for a few more months?

PollyPocket100 · 01/02/2016 17:46

I've been made redundant and am seriously missing the gossip so please tell me in detail what this colleague of yours has done Nicky?!

ODog · 01/02/2016 19:45

My due date is 6th may fizzy so I'll have 2months before baby arrives, but like I say, I only went back 2 days a week so it's not a massive change to finish so early. Also planning to take a year career break after mat leave so will hopefully have 2 years off.

Nope no point in letting work get to you at this stage nicky. I remember I had pretty much switched off a couple of months before I actually finished last time. Not worth it. Bigger thing to worry about.

ljjeffro · 01/02/2016 22:12

My mat leave doesn't start till the 9th May. I was going to start it from the 16th, then I realised that wouldn't even give me 2wks off before baby is due.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 02/02/2016 06:10

Hello all from India!! Just checking in to see how you all are and to say hi (and I'M ALIVE AND WELL!!). Felt pretty rough on and off the past few days but today I really feel good so I'm hoping it was just adjusting either to the temperature or to the growth spurt I seemed to have on the plane...
Really enjoying having extremely limited internet access I must say, though am using it wisely having checked through the thread and seen that you are all doing ok!Wink
Think I might be having baby hiccups right now! Have also definitely started having some braxton hicks though I read that even slight dehydration can bring them on so have upped my water intake, and can definitely see the baby jumping around from the outside now - so it can't mind being here as it has hardly stopped jumping around since we arrived!
Stay warm and see you all later Smile

frozensmoothie · 02/02/2016 09:56

Glad you're still alive and well cant hope you continue to feel better and enjoy your holiday! Definitely keep an eye on your fluid levels, someone I know was admitted to hospital recently with contractions caused by dehydration at 25 weeks. All is fine now, but I didn't realise that there was a link between the two.

ODog · 02/02/2016 10:21

I never knew there was a link between BH and dehydration either. I never had them in my first pregnancy but have definitely had a few moments where my bump has gone solid for a few seconds, no painful but feels very odd. I'll start monitoring whether I can spot a link to not drinking enoughx

Nicky333 · 02/02/2016 10:46

Thanks for the slap guys. I'm trying not to let them get to me. No detail really, just someone trying to control everything that isn't theirs to control.

I'm so looking forward to mat leave...

Nicky333 · 02/02/2016 10:47

Oh, and glad you arrived safely cant Smile
