Hello!!
Thought I better start a new thread before the other one is full up.
If anyone wants added to the FB group PM me, can you say what your profile pic is too so I can find you, thanks!
Hope everyone has a good day today, any scans happening?

Thanks for the new thread! My scan letter specifically said there was no need to drink before 12 week scan. It must vary between hospitals.

I finally surrendered last night and bought some maternity leggings. Might buy a couple of dresses in the next few days as well. Think I might have the tiniest tiniest bump now. Exciting!

Welcome hotchoc!

tiffany I think for me it's a tie between nausea and sensitivity to smell as the worst pregnancy symptom! Nausea would prob just about win, but only just! Worst for me are supermarkets and the tube.

Made it through yesterday without a phone call about my twelve week bloods (I'm so paranoid something will be wrong). Only Monday and Tuesday to get through now!

29redshoes · 31/10/2015 08:33

Oh and also, I saw an advert yesterday for pregnacare liquid. Has anyone tried it? I have been taking the tablets but can't always manage them, plus like others I'm sure they make constipation worse Halloween Blush. Thought liquid might be a bit more digestible.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 31/10/2015 09:08

29red my letter said no need for a full bladder and then when I got to the hospital it said that I DID need it - weird! That's St Thomas's by the way, where will you be? In any case I haven't specifically drunk more for any of my 3, the first private one they commented on my massive bladder so I tried to go easy after that! I am just a water guzzler normally!

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 31/10/2015 09:23

Oh and am VERY excited to finally receive this through the post yesterday - after living in London for 14 years I developed Tube anxiety this week as the overcrowding has been so horrendous, which obviously a badge can't help, but maybe people will finally give me a seat now (I hope?!)...

ljjeffro · 31/10/2015 09:58

Welcome hotchoc
tiff I had a private scan on Monday and is was 9+6. I hadn't drunk a lot at all cos I thought I was going to have an internal scan, but it was fine. The picture came up straight away so I wouldn't worry too much.
Sorry for all those still suffering with sickness. I seem to be going the other way. I didn't have any sickness anyway but my boobs were still really sore and I was very tired. All of a sudden it just seems to have stopped! I'm trying not to worry as everything was fine with the scan on Monday and I have had a week off work so that could be why I'm not tired.

29redshoes · 31/10/2015 10:35

cantbelieve that's annoying! Did you have to down a pint when you got there? I'm at an East London hospital (bit worried about outing myself so won't say more than that!) to be honest we've been a bit underwhelmed by it so far so are wondering about changing...

Congrats on the baby on board badge! I've found mine really good, almost always get offered a seat when wearing it within about 30 seconds, even though I'm not showing at all yet ( with clothes on at least).

29redshoes · 31/10/2015 10:37

Oh, and just saw you had a scan yesterday icant - hope it went well

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 31/10/2015 11:22

29red I live my life in a permanent state of hydration so it wasn't a problem Wink it just seems weird that the two things contradicted each other! At my private scan she was struggling to get the baby in place for one measurement and after 15 mins trying made me go to the bathroom as it might have helped!

frozensmoothie · 31/10/2015 13:57

Afternoon everyone, hope you're all having a good Saturday!

I think my sickness, nausea and extreme tiredness has finally subsided at last. Hope everyone elses does soon too. I've ordered my baby on board badge (to my mum's house as I dont live in London but spend a lot of time there.)

Just back from emergency bra shopping as none of mine fit! Such a relief to be in a maternity bra now with no underwires digging in. My first proper bit of maternity clothing Smile

There's a July thread!
I feel like we've graduated again Halloween Grin

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 31/10/2015 15:54

So is anybody else undertaking emergency building works to be done in time for a new arrival? Or is that just us?
Have spent today going on mad-cap far-too-long bike rides to buy fricking tiles for our new kitchen - having had ours ripped out on Monday! So we are living in chaos and I am angry with my OH for making me cycle so far on roads I don't know when we could actually have gone to a branch of the same shop 15mins from home, and from preventing me from having lunch till 3, and then complaining that I was cycling too slow and wingeing too much! I'd like to see how they would cope it men had to be pregnant!!

MollieRos · 31/10/2015 16:09

Cantbelieve yep- we're just about to get our bedroom converted into two to make an extra room, then we really need to get our grotty bathroom ripped out so we can re-do it- seems like it'll be easier now than with a baby in tow! I have images of me still grouting at 40 weeks pregnant, desperately trying to get it finished in time. Ah well, I always work best to a deadline, and there's nothing like pregnancy to give you a good solid deadline to finally get round to doing things! Today I was supposed to be painting the kitchen, instead I've just woken up from an hour's nap and am just thinking about doing nothing much for the rest of the evening Smile

Bishboshbash · 01/11/2015 13:22

How is everyone? Any more joiners for the fb group?
11 weeks yesterday and I'm feeling more sick than ever, I'm sure I felt better by about 15 weeks last time so I am clinging to that.
My Mum and Step Dad are coming to visit today so at least they can entertain the toddler for a bit!

I'm good. Just ran a hilly 10 mile race. Relaxing for the rest of the day.

Hope your sickness does abate. My sister said her sickness has carried on the whole time. She said it's been like having a hangover every day for 8 months...

GrouchyKiwi · 01/11/2015 15:38

Found you all. Smile

I'm still feeling rough, though I think most of it isn't pregnancy related. If I feel like this tomorrow will be going to the GP.

Still have nearly two weeks to wait for my scan - it's the same day as yours, Tiff.

ODog · 01/11/2015 17:22

10 mile race - well done nicky! I used to do a fair bit of running pre-DS but have only done a few miles at a time since (mostly with him in the buggy), but I'm not sure he'd tolerate that anymore. He pretty much only goes in a buggy unless he's super tired or constantly supplied with snacks. Which does mean I hope to get away with not having a double buggy. He won't be quite 2 when #2 arrives. Am I mad?

Sorry to hear people are still feeling sick/down. Thankfully I feel like I've turned that corner but still only fancy eating absolute crap.

GrouchyKiwi · 01/11/2015 17:54

Buggy board is the answer, ODog, if your buggy can handle one. DD1 (she's 3) walks for the most part but when we've been out for a long time she can hop on the buggy board to get a rest.

frozensmoothie · 01/11/2015 17:54

Wow a 10 mile hilly race is amazing Nicky I was going to try and venture back to the gym today but didn't quite make it! I'm 14 weeks today and the nausea has mostly gone. I was feeling more energetic over the past few days but the tiredness has hit me again today like a tonne of bricks! Still feeling better overall I think than this time last week.

ODog · 01/11/2015 18:27

A combination of buggy board/buggy/newborn and toddler slings is my plan. Whoever is not liking the buggy goes in the sling and if toddler just needs a quick rest he can jump on the board.

29redshoes · 01/11/2015 18:58

nicky that's amazing - 10 miles!! I used to be a runner but I've really struggled to keep up with exercise, am trying to build in a few more walks now I'm slowly starting to feel better.

Nicky333 · 01/11/2015 19:33

I haven't had any sickness though, which makes it a lot easier.

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 01/11/2015 19:51

Sod the sickness nicky - how can you even be arsed?! Am super impressed! I have spent the past 6.5 years practicing Ashtanga yoga for up to 2 hours every morning, 5-6 days a week, and after taking the first trimester off I am really struggling to go back. I'm also finding that weekend bike rides with my BF are a bit much, and yesterday I realised that I was getting out of breath just from taking off my jeans.
Is this the end of me being a fit and active person?!

hotchocmarshmallow · 01/11/2015 20:25

Thanks for the welcome Grin
29 I've bought the liquid vitamins as I can't swallow large pills at the best of times. You have to take 2 spoonfuls and it's pretty rank so I've not been very good at taking it Blush when the sickness subsides I'll try harder.
Nicky ShockShock I'm getting out of breath just taking dd swimming! I'm in awe.
My scan isn't till the 18th- ages away. I'm glad October is over at least- one month down.

positiveglow · 01/11/2015 22:34

Hi all. I'm 13 wks 3 days. Due 5th may. I've one son who is 10 months old so things have been busy. Looking forward to the Facebook group. Hi to all x

Pikz · 02/11/2015 07:09

Think I'm about 3 threads behind! I'm 14+1 now and the the nausea and sickness hasn't stopped yet.

I'm struggling to do much but work, look after toddler and the house. My exercise regime has gone out the window. I can't wait to feel more human again and start doing more
