First things, Fluffy, I'm glad you were able to come to a decision and I'm so sorry how difficult it's all been. Like others have said, I'm so surprised and annoyed that you weren't given the reassurance that you needed and it was such a long drawn out process. Hope you're doing well x x x

And this is a bit belated now but HIGH FIVE Nicky on the 10 miler! Amazing work. I also used to be a runner pre-pregnancy but I've been too nervous to go out since finding out our good news. I go through phases with running anyway but have been thinking more and more about giving a little run round the park a go to see how I get on. Think I'll be signing up for my next marathon (or at least a half) once baby has arrived as motivation to get back into the swing of things - a running buggy is definitely on my to-buy list!

Lovely to hear more of us are getting scan dates through - not long to wait and sound like a WONDERFUL idea to have the day off and hopefully celebrate good news Vicky. DH and I are going to do that for our 20 week scan :)

Today I had my 12 week scan!! I wasn't too nervous as we'd paid for the private early scan last weekend and all was well. Was worried as I'd been drinking a lot this morning but puked it all back up so wasn't sure if my bladder would be full enough - but it was. As expected, I wasn't quite as far gone as my dates suggest and official due date is now 20th May 2016, making me 11+4 today (slightly behind the 12+1 my dates said I was).

Feels a bit weird to be 'going backwards' but I always knew I wasn't as far along as my LMP suggested.

Baby did a somersault!!! It was the cutest thing to watch. Happy happy parents today.

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 02/11/2015 15:27

Ahhh Grouchy that's nice, good that you won't have too long to wait in the morning!

Forgive my ignorance, what's PGP? Poor you!

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 02/11/2015 15:29

Sorry Toffee we posted almost simultaneously Smile

That's so exciting, can't believe you saw a somersault!

GrouchyKiwi · 02/11/2015 15:33

PGP (or SPD) is when your pubic bones separate. It's bloody painful. Here's the NHS info.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 02/11/2015 15:50

Oh my god Grouchy, that sounds awful!! I hope it's a false alarm.

And yes Tiff, somersault was the BEST thing. It's a shame really that we don't live in Harry Potter world and photos move because seeing baby wriggle and shift and turn makes it SO much more real than a photo.

GrouchyKiwi · 02/11/2015 16:00

I had it with DD2 from 20 weeks and I'm hypermobile so it's more likely to happen again.

It is great when you get to watch your baby jump around. Grin

TiffanyAtBreakfast · 02/11/2015 16:01

Crikey Grouchy, that sounds so painful!! Really hope it turns out to just be things generally moving about and adjusting ready for baby Flowers

Aww that's true Toffee, but at least you have that lovely lovely memory Smile

Southy84 · 02/11/2015 16:16

Hope mama is ok, muffin didn't come back to update us after her scan either, unless ive missed it :( I hope we're not missing anyone else and they are ok.

vicky that's a lovely idea for lunch and telling you parents :) mines at 3:30 but can't complain as it was originally supposed to be on the 13th but luckily my mw managed to move it

Southy84 · 02/11/2015 16:40

toffee that's amazing you have a little acrobatic baby, glad your scan went :)

cantbelieveImquittingcoffee · 02/11/2015 16:41

fluffy I wasn't posting when you were writing in the first thread but was reading updates and just also want to extend my best wishes to you; fwiw whatever the NHS did/didn't do you had to make a decision that felt right for you for right now, and I am just so glad you have supportive people around you to allow you to do just that. Xx

frozensmoothie · 02/11/2015 16:45

Glad the scan went well Toffee!

StormTr00per · 02/11/2015 16:53

Phew, finally back on track with the thread. So good to read all the positive scan news Smile.
grouchy sorry to hear you're getting pgp again.. I had terrible SPD with previous pregnancy from about 20 weeks and could barely walk. Think I've felt a few similar niggles so far.. but I really hope not.
bish messaged you about joining the fb group too..

dervinia · 02/11/2015 17:34

Hello all, this is my first post, but I have been reading the thread since the beginning and been excited over all the good news, and sending my thoughts out to everyone with not so good news....I am 11 weeks today, and my scan's not till the 13th November....I just can't wait, am dying to see a pic so it can all feel real - really doesn't feel real at the moment, because I don't have many symptoms...plus due to my mum being terrible at keeping secrets, lots of my friends and family know who I would't have told till after the scan, so that's making me feel quite anxious...this thread helps to keep me sane!

MollieRos · 02/11/2015 19:12

fluffy I'm sorry it's been so hard for you. But it sounds like you've come to absolutely the right decision for you at the moment. Make sure you look after yourself and lean on all of your family and friends for support as uch as you need to Flowers

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 02/11/2015 20:32

Just marking my space - struggling to keep up. But yay for somersaulting baby :) and sorry you've had to come to such a tough decision fluffy.

Mamama31 · 02/11/2015 20:52

Hello ladies sorry for going awol! I have just had a busy couple of weeks and seriously exhausted in the evenings as well but other than that everything is fine and I'm 12+2 today, hurrah for getting to the 12 week Mark! It has dragged in!

Congrats on the scans! Lovely to see active babies on the screen isn't it!!!

Fluffy sorry you have had such a tough time I hope you have lots of support around you.

Muffin thinking of you and hope your ok as you haven't been on for a while either.

hope everyone is well and the sickness is easing. I still feel sick at night time but glad I haven't actually vomitted hoping for more emery soon like you all are!! Then we can be all upbeat for 2nd trimester ??

Mamama31 · 02/11/2015 20:53

More energy soon that is meant to be

29redshoes · 03/11/2015 07:57

Oh fluffy Flowers I'm sorry you didn't get the support you needed. Thinking of you.

Glad to hear you're ok mama have you had your 12 week scan yet? Congrats on getting to the 12 week mark!

I noticed that icant hasn't been on after her scan either, hope she is ok.

As for me, I'm 13 weeks now and there has been an interesting development in that I don't seem to be suffering from nausea anymore, but I'm still being sick about once a day. It happens with almost no warning - start feeling ill then 10 seconds later am throwing up. Then feel fine again!

In some ways it's better as I spend far less time feeling ill overall. But it's led to a few slightly embarrassing situations!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 03/11/2015 08:18

Oh 29, yes I can see how only 10 seconds warning for vom might produce some interesting situations!!! I've been feeling sicker this week but I'm hoping it's just getting a little worse before it gets better.

Glad to hear you're alright mama! And Icant has been over on the FB group so all is well from her too and we've seen lovely scan pic. I think I'm right in remembering that.

And here's my scan pic! My phone orientated it portrait but I quite like that as I think it makes it easier to see baby's facial features (and I just imagining it or can you see their nose and lips?!?!).

Mamama31 · 03/11/2015 09:03

Toffee that's a lovely scan pic Smile

29 I had my 12 week scan when I was 10+5 they like to have you scanned and booked in just before 12 weeks here it's annoying as my pics are not as clear as the ones I've seen from all of you but was just glad to see a very active healthy baby. We are going to book a private scan at 16 weeks to break up the time until 20 wk scan so roll on end of November as that should be a good one!

I'm looking forward to evening nausea ending but also scared to have no symptoms as the nausea and tiredness as horrid as it is gives me reassurance- silly I know!!

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 03/11/2015 09:49

I know what you mean Mama - now that we've started telling a few more people, the most common question I get asked is 'Have you felt sick?' and people who've never been pregnant before look at me like I'm a right weirdo when I say I have but that I quite like it as it's reassuring. Although, I'll take LOTS of comfort from my scan photos and although I know things can go wrong from here onwards, I do feel more relaxed about it knowing the odds are in my favour.

Belmo · 03/11/2015 10:22

Hello everyone, can I pop back in?

Lovely to read all the scan news :)

I disappeared a few weeks ago as after all my bleeding (had really heavy bleeding, clots & cramping but then saw heartbeat at 6 week scan) I just didn't feel able to be positive or join in..
12 week scan yesterday and baby was just fine! I still can't really believe it. It was so lovely, wiggly waving little creature. Still don't know what happened but everything looks totally normal.
Bish I'll pm you about the fb group, if that's okay!

ODog · 03/11/2015 10:29

Thanks great news belmo and welcome back.

Just had my letter telling me chance of downs and its 1 in 14529 so that is reassuring.

ToffeeAppleMarsBar · 03/11/2015 10:38

Welcome back Belmo - so excited for your good news at 12 week scan! Lots of women here have had bleeding and all has been well. I think it's far more common than we realise. Sorry you've had such a worrisome first trimester but hopefully, things will settle down a bit for you now!

And I like the sound of those odds Odog!

dervinia · 03/11/2015 10:46

Your scan picture is very cute Toffee I can definitely see little lips and eyes! Belmo happy to hear everything went well with your scan...mama that's a good idea having a 16 week scan in the middle....I might consider that to put my mind at rest.

I opted out of having the screening done for downs...but my Midwife looked very disapproving and kept asking me if I was sure...which I was, but now I feel like I'm not so sure...I can see why having good results would put your mind at rest odog that's great news!

Hope you all have a good day Smile
