started a new thread as the old one was getting full up. Thought I would post the link to stats here too so people can update if they want!

Battleship good luck :) Flowers

I've been having weird dreams too, dp said that last night I was talking to him in a foreign language? he thought I was possessed, what is actually happening to me?? :(

MyNameIsSuz · 16/09/2015 17:13

That's not what I hear trinpy, apparently he is quite the ladies man!

Everyone, please help me with a clothing issue! My lovely new jeans arrived today (20% discount code at gap, wouldn't have spent that much otherwise!) and they're lovely but I think maybe too big. They're my normal size, quite stretchy skinnies, and a bit on the baggy side. Should i exchange for a smaller size? I feel like I should because skinny jeans tend to get bagger as you wear them, and I also went down a size in my last pregnancy so if that happens again they will definitely be too big. But what if i send them back and the others are too small??? Or what if I put weight on this time? What would you all do?

TriJo · 16/09/2015 17:14

Gap runs big anyway and they do tend to stretch with wear. I'd go down one size.

MyNameIsSuz · 16/09/2015 17:20

Thanks TriJo, I needed that, I will do it! Not normally quite this indecisive Smile

IndomitabIe · 16/09/2015 17:52

Yes, Trinpy, RD&E! Think there's a few of us SWers here!

Went into town after to look for maternity trousers and I swear all the shops used to stock them. Now only Debenhams & H&M had anything. (Didn't go as far as mothercare).

Told my colleagues today. All very lovely about it. They don't seem concerned about the leave aspect (though it'll be short). Phew! Need to keep it hidden from the kids as long as poss though!

Me624 · 16/09/2015 17:55

We've got a gorgeous friendly 4 year old cat who has been our "child" up until now. DH is worried he won't get on with the baby but I'm not - he doesn't like the noise of children when he hears them playing outside so I think he'll just keep out of the baby's way. We will have to start shutting him downstairs at night though which he won't like - he normally sleeps on the bed with us. To be honest that'll be better anyway because he regularly wakes me up in the night when he decides he's bored of sleeping now and wants to play - usually with some of the leads charging my phone or laptop. Sometimes he just likes to sit on my bedside table and knock things off it with his paw. Cheeky little bugger.

Paperblank · 16/09/2015 19:26

Fed up fed up fed up.

Sciatica is back and bloody agony. I am lying on the sofa and it's the first time I've been a bit comfy today.

I could cry Sad

Waaaaahhhhh!

ffauxlivia · 16/09/2015 19:55

woah I've been away for a week and have missed so much!

missikat that post about what to buy was helpful - it's all so overwhelming right now!

Paper aw so sorry, hope it calms down soon. Is there anything you can do?

I got my chromosome tests back today and everything was normal, phew!!! Also found out we're having a girl - woop!!

Have this weird worried feeling though since finding out - like what if I pass on my endometriosis, what if I pass on all my worst traits, what if the relationship is difficult like the one I've had with my mum?? Silly. Why would I only have these worries with a girl? So if anyone with girls can tell me all the wonderful things about having a girl that would be great :) I'm not disappointed or anything, just worried about being a good mum I guess! I am SO over the moon and relieved she's healthy so far and that's the main thing :) :) Weird I can call her a she already, haha!

Off to update the spreadsheet, yay!

Battleshiphips2 · 16/09/2015 20:09

Never added a pic before so hope this works! This is my scan from today. She couldn't get a great pic because baby wouldn't move from one position so she told me to go and have a coffee. Wouldn't stop moving after that! She said couldn't give a definite for boy or girl though as still early days. Everything looks fine though. They were worried the tummy hadn't closed but it had.

I can't believe people automatically assume you'll get rid of your pets when you have a baby. We have 2 rather boisterous dogs, so life is going to be interesting, but they've grown up around my and DH's nieces and nephews so they are used to babies and children. It would break my heart to get rid of them, they are my 'furry babies'!

ThePug · 16/09/2015 20:32

I've been so busy at work today (and just finished sending emails with one hand while eating pizza and trying to watch GBBO) this is the first time I've been on MN all day! So much to catch up on.

Lovely scan Battleship and ffaux - I can't believe you already know its a girl, so jealous!

Is it still warm in MN by the way ffaux ? Forecast seems to suggest it'll be nicer than it originally look. Am packing tomorrow so need to think about what to take and what will fit

Cheese has been bought and is in the freezer!

I have a dog (a pug, surprisingly) and he has been brilliant with our DN who is now almost 3, so hoping he'll cope with the baby. He is not good with strangers or people coming into the house, though (he goes mad barking) so having the health visitor or other mums around might be interesting!

Trinpy & Indom I'm SW too but not as far down as you (Somerset)

BeautifulLiar · 16/09/2015 20:32

ffaux - congrats! I don't have a relationship with my mum, she has taught me nothing except how not to parent. I was desperate for a boy and I got one. Then when he was 2 I got pregnant again. Thinking it would be my last, I wanted a girl. She was a girl, and 19 months after her birth I had another girl!

I LOVE having them. Just love it - can't believe how frightened I was. The names are easier to pick, the clothes are beautiful. I have to admit I am a girly girl so I love anything pink and glittery which helps Blush but I can't wait to go shopping with them, buy them their first sani pads and reassure them about their bodies, teach them how to put make up on.

They're hilarious and clever. The second girl potty trained herself in 24 hours. They've held my hair back and cuddled me through the morning sickness with this one.

Basically.. they're fab!

ThePug · 16/09/2015 20:34

Beaut I think I want one of your girls, please!

Battleshiphips2 · 16/09/2015 20:45

ffaux how far along are you. I'd love to know what I'm having now but guess I'll have to wait another 5 weeks. I've been asked loads of times what we are going to do with the dog. I told some people we were having him put to sleep just to see their faces! Although I'm nervous about it there is no way I'd rehome him unless I though baby was in danger. He's part of our family. beautiful your girls sound lovely. All I get is bums, poo, willies, dinosaurs and superheroes! Wouldn't change ds for the world though. I don't even care what this one is really because it's taken 7 years to get here! I do love looking at girls clothes though.

BeautifulLiar · 16/09/2015 20:50

Haha thanks guys, and ThePug - I may take you up on your offer if this one is a girl too... DS will be overrun!

Battle you could get a private gender scan, but boys are brill too aren't they? The clothes are SO much better now than 7 years ago. And it's a lot quicker getting them ready for school! Congrats on your scan btw :)

Poppins27 · 16/09/2015 20:56

vroc that post made me actually lol!!

We have a dog here and she is great with Dd who's 3 but we got her after having Dd so she's not been around the baby stage. I think she will be fine but I've already stated we will have a baby gate on the living room door so she can't get in when babies asleep etc. Dogs a bugger at barking at people coming to the door though so that will be interesting come nap times!! Grrr!!

I hope the scan went well battle

No more bleeding today so fingers crossed all is still as it should be.

Won't be purchasing anything until after 20 week scan but can recycle a lot from dd and 18 month old Niece...bound to be a blue one though isn't if!! Wink

ffauxlivia · 16/09/2015 20:57

Aw thanks everyone! beautiful that sounds awesome, definitely made me feel excited!

pug we've had some unseasonably warm days recently - coldish in the mornings but 29 and sunny by mid afternoon. Cloudy today but warm, and I heard colder weather is coming but haven't checked recently - will let you know! Hopefully will stay nice for your trip

Battle I'm 13 weeks tomorrow. Currently (temporarily) living in the US where they offered me that harmony scan for free because it was covered by my insurance - lucky I know! But you don't have long to wait!

I know so many people with a number of dogs and babies, all mix perfectly and seem to have a lot of fun!

Poppins27 · 16/09/2015 21:06

Sorry...for some reason that post took 2 hours to show up!!

Hence the delayed reaction!!

Great news battle, pleased all was good!

ffaux Dds are awesome...I'm fairly anti girly in some respects, get on great with guys and find gals quite difficult sometimes with friendship dynamics etc so having a Dd was a bit of a shock to the system for me...but she's fab!! Cute, funny, strong minded (very!!), popular and witty...!! You will probably have the best relationship with your Dd as you will be more aware of how it's not done!! Smile

IndomitabIe · 16/09/2015 21:30

So, after yesterday's amazing scan and telling everyone, I've just had some pinkyness when I went to the loo.

It was only a tiny bit when I wiped, looked peachy colour with my wee (sorry). I saw there were a few drops in the loo too.

I had some brown spotting about this time with DS, but this was different.

I suppose whatever will be will be. I'll keep an eye on it.

Battleshiphips2 · 16/09/2015 21:37

indomitabIe could you have a UTI I had one in my last pregnancy. It was like a pinky colour. Hope you are ok.

IndomitabIe · 16/09/2015 21:43

That did cross my mind. I had about 40 wees last night. But it doesn't hurt like a uti normally does.

If there's nothing else significant I'll ring the doc tomorrow morning. Better think about setting cover...

Trinpy · 16/09/2015 21:45

Really suz?? But he's so camp! I don't think I could bring myself to do anything xrated with Mr tumble/Justin. I can just imagine him accidently doing the Mr tumble voice in the throes of passion. Arragh brain bleach needed!!

Anyway, nice to see there's a little group of us here from the SW Smile.

Congratulations on the positive looking scans today. Great news.

Thanks to you lot going on about those mamaroo chairs I Googled them and wow they look amazing! Not sure I could persuade dh we need one though...

ffauxlivia · 16/09/2015 21:51

IndomitabIe there are so so many reasons for spotting, I read it so many times on forums and more often than not it is nothing. Hope you have a restful night and all is okay x

IndomitabIe · 16/09/2015 21:54

Thanks ffaux and battle. That's what I'm telling myself too.

I've so far taken it as a cue to pack up the marking and veg out a bit.

Battleshiphips2 · 16/09/2015 22:12

I also had a bright red bleed with cramps and clots in last pregnancy at about 9/10 weeks and everything was fine. My UTI wasn't really painfully. Just weeping lots and blood in urine. As ffaux said there are so many reasons for spotting. Hard not to worry though, I still do pregnancy tests and I'm 15 weeks tomorrow! Blush
