I had an early scan last week when I was 7+2 by my dates but they could only see a sac and a yolk dating about 5 and half to 6 weeks. I go back again on the 11th for an update so fingers crossed for me please ladies. I'm trying to remain hopeful as I only got a BFP a week after my missed period which would link up with the dates.

MsGlitterJunkie · 02/09/2015 21:37

Ha! OK, now I understand emilee yes it was that list of users who's passwords were hacked that was going round a few weeks ago that we were referring to, a few people have stopped using this site since all that nonsense! x

MsGlitterJunkie · 02/09/2015 21:39

Fingers crossed crumbly miscalculated dates are ridiculously common so I'm sure you'll be absolutely fine.

Emileelogan · 02/09/2015 22:14

Thank u glitter and fx crumbly but try and not worry xx

CarrotVan · 03/09/2015 08:58

Do you not automatically get an early scan with IVF pregnancies or is it just if it's via private clinics?

crumbly you could have ovulated and implanted late which has skewed your dates loads.

SaltySeaBird · 03/09/2015 09:08

I only have had several early scans due to previous miscarriages, being diabetic and having other medical complications throughout previous pregnancies. I probably would have paid for a private scan if not though - although only because of my past experiences as it never crossed my mind in my first pregnancy.

I still suffer from waves of nausea which aren't limited to the morning - in fact I get worse evening sickness I think than morning. I think I look huge - I think I'm 9+4 now. I've gone completely off hot drinks, but sadly not chocolate.

I really want to eat soft, gooey cheeses though. So annoying being desperate for one of the things I can't have!

Ani03 · 03/09/2015 09:26

Hi all long time lurker first time poster. I am just after a bit of reassurance really, I went to my GP yesterday to have my pregnancy confirmed but he said I had to see a Midwife I can't get in to see her for another 4 weeks which by my dates would make me 12 weeks. It's it normal to not see anyone or be examined before 12 weeks? This is my first baby and I'm slightly worried as I have had no symptoms other than cramps which I seem to be getting daily. Sorry for the ramble just don't know what to do.

raspberrylemonade1 · 03/09/2015 09:40

If you know which hospital you want to use then go on line to the mat ward. You can normally self refer for the scan. At least then you have the reassurance that that is in the works.

raspberrylemonade1 · 03/09/2015 09:43

The way it works with our trust is you have s doc appt to complete the paperwork to get mat exemption and they send the forms to trigger the scan booking. The booking in appt with midwife is done between week 8 and 12. There's no immediate rush for that one as it's pretty much an hour of paperwork!!

Ani03 · 03/09/2015 09:48

Oh thank you I will look into that. It's just good to hear that is the norm since I don't have a clue!

ToesAndFingersCrossed · 03/09/2015 11:44

carrot it depends on the clinic - there are some ladies over on the infertility boards who are basically just told to go to their GP once they get a +ve pregnancy test and go the usual route. It's quite rare though and usually places scan at somewhere between 6 and 8 weeks.

feefee very unlikely to be two, this was our second go and we only had the one frostie left so that was all we put back! Having said that, my symptoms have been really horrid. I think exhaustion is quite a common one in the first trimester as well, don't underestimate just how tired you actually are, it creeps up on you! Did you have one or two put back? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you too

Feefee45 · 03/09/2015 12:22

Toes I had a fresh cycle and there were 4 fertilised. Two were put back but I was told they started really well but the it growth had slowed a bit by day 5 which is adding to my worries. The other two were apparently not good enough quality to freeze.

ToesAndFingersCrossed · 03/09/2015 14:04

fee They are always happier back where they belong, in you rather than in a Petrie dish, so I wouldn't worry! On our fresh cycle they put the "better" one back, and it didn't stick, and this frostie was the "crap" one (we only got two) and it seems to have been super sticky so far, so it's not all about what they see under the microscope!

Feefee45 · 03/09/2015 15:36

Thanks toes this was my second round too. Hopefully I'm just worrying for nothing just need to think positively and be more patient. Not two of my strengths.

spottedquoll · 03/09/2015 16:03

Just checking in to say I'm out of the running - spotted on and off for a fortnight and eventually lost out on Tuesday at around 8 weeks. Scan this morning confirmed it's all over. Coping pretty well all things considered and glad that I have my DD to hug, but not going to hang around here for a little while!

Best of luck to all you lovely ladies for the next few months. X

waxweasel · 03/09/2015 16:38

Oh I'm so sorry spotted, that's such sad news x

Feefee45 · 03/09/2015 16:40

Sorry to hear that spottedquoll glad you have a DD to help you through.

MazzleDazzle · 03/09/2015 16:57

So sorry spotted Flowers

MazzleDazzle · 03/09/2015 17:18

Still no further forward to getting my first mw appt and I'm nearly 8 weeks.

Have been trying to get an appointment for the last 3 weeks. No one answers the phone, leave messages, no one calls back, then when they do they say to call someone else, then they tell me they can't help and put me back to where I started.

Finally got through to someone able to allocate an appointment, but can't as the midwife is fully booked. Confused

Erm, so now what? Apparently someone will call me!

Rinnyx · 03/09/2015 18:07

Sorry to hear that news Spotted :(

I've just finished my 2nd day at work, first day with the children
I thought nursery was hard Shock

I'm hoping to get somewhere tomorrow with midwife/scan as today I was having to move heavy items about work and DS yesterday when I came home from training said I had a fatty belly and was the a baby in my belly? Confused cue me trying to change subject and hoping MIL didn't hear

PallasCat · 03/09/2015 18:40

Flowers Flowers Spotted.

5madthings · 03/09/2015 20:26

Sp sorry spotted

I have my scan date, 21st sept, I should be 11wks, I am.thinking that if I am not quite 11wks and two days they won't be able to do the nuchal bit? But I guess they would bring me back to do that. It could be that it's Ok anyway,I got a positive on day 26 of my cycle and am pretty sure I conceived day 10-14.

I feel sick as a dog, it's worse afternoon and evenings. I had a nap this afternoon as dd started school today so now all 5 madthings are at school. So many people asking if I am going to get a job.. Well given dh does shift work, ds2 is only at school part time due to health issues it would be a nightmare finding something to fit round that.

Hope everyone else is keeping well xx

Rinnyx · 03/09/2015 20:42

Come volunteer at the school madthings could lead to job offer later Wink

Fingers crossed tomorrow after doctors and 6th pregnancy test I will finally get offered a scan.

CarrotVan · 03/09/2015 20:45

So sorry spotted
