I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

I'm alright, just men sometimes dont have a clue!
I cant believe that we are all going to go though this together and at the same time, be there for each other till the very end and then on to the next chapter, go though all the good bits and bad bits together, Really looking forward to every bit! >

hormonalwreck · 07/12/2006 11:48

Hi everyone
Does anyone mind if I join in? I'm due 8th Aug after trying with DH for 7 months. I am due a big promotion at work so thinking baby making wasn't working went to the doc to go back on the pill and found out I was pg - Hooray!

After spending all summer with ovulation kits, thermometers and calendars, the first month I stopped thinking about it - hey presto! It's my 1st pg and I'm very excited also very worried at the same time. It's really nice to find so many bubbly people all in the same shoes!!!

hormonalwreck · 07/12/2006 11:52

OMG bambi, I'm so sorry if I sound insensitive. You sound like you're having a nightmare. I'll keep my fingers crossed that all is well with you. Men just have no concept of how much it changes you. I'm sure it'll all work out in the end

PeckaRolloverAgain · 07/12/2006 12:03

Hi everyone

Im feeling well sick Im sure I wasnt this bad the last two times!!

Getting through it by eating often (cue huge weight gain i bet) and sucking sweeties!

I am a childminder and have my own 3 year old, a 2 year old and a 1 year old today then my 7 year old will be back at 3.30

Busy isnt the word!! Still at least its keeping my mind off things!

bresha · 07/12/2006 12:04

Hello every one and congratulations to you all, id like to join you if you don?t mind.
I am due early august so I am about 5/6 weeks,
I already have 2 girls who are 5 and 18 months
Iv been really tired and teary the last week with sore boobs and I feel sick most of the time. I didn?t get any pg symptoms last time so I didn?t tell anyone until I was 12 weeks but this time round I feel so ill I don?t think I can keep it a secret for that long,
Bambio6- I can?t think of any thing to say that might help you but I am sure some one will, and you can talk to us about it as much as you like. If you really won?t this baby forget what your DH thinks and concentrate on your self and keeping well for you and your baby

ChristmasMadwithBump · 07/12/2006 12:25

bambi06 When I fell PG with DS#2 DH wasn't, lets say happy, he said we have options, I just said "can you get me a chicken from across the road" he came back to find his bags being thrown at him and me telling him to leave if he doesn't want the baby then I doesn't want me, anyway he talked his way round it. When I ended up in hospital for the second time with MS, we had an early scan at 9 weeks, when he saw the baby's heart beating, baby moving about, and what looked to be the baby screaming, his heart melted, he wouldn't change him for the world now!

beansontoast · 07/12/2006 13:12

ChristmasMadwithBump · 07/12/2006 13:35

Beansontoast welcome and Congratulations!

bambi06 · 07/12/2006 13:37

i didnt mean to put a dampner on everyones excitement..sorry but just needed to get it off my chest...hubby doesnt understand this morning why i over reacted last night..his words not mine...i donr understand about things hes said..i wont tell you as youre all likely to come over him and castrate him..actually quite a good option at the momemt... im excited and happy for all you moms out there.and i remember when it was like that with my first two...now 5 and 7.

ChristmasMadwithBump · 07/12/2006 13:54

You can get everything off your chest here we dont mind!
I feel the same about men at the moment, I did my "getting off my chest" last night and this ( look down there ) morning so dont worry about it!

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 07/12/2006 14:23

Hi everyone. Welcom Bambie...feel free to slate your other half with me cos I'm always up for a bit of a butt-kick where men are concerned! Although my dp is being surprisingly nice at the moment....doubt it will last!!
And welcome Beans too! It WILL be nice making friends and getting to know each other won't it!
Babymad, we have even more in common! My dd is 7 (8 in May) and my ds is 4 (5 in Jan)! When do yours turn 8 and 5?

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 07/12/2006 14:24

Sorry, should have been Christmasmad!!
And look, we were even telling Bambie the same thing

bambi06 · 07/12/2006 14:57

this thread seems to have turned into against husbands unite!!!

ChristmasMadwithBump · 07/12/2006 15:47

feedmechristmaspuddingnow/feedmenow DS#1 turn 7 the day I found out I was PG with this little one, 25th Nov, and DS#2 doesn't turn 5 till 2 June! They must be in the same year, DS#1 is in year 2 and DS#2 just started school reception class!

Bambi06 Now that would be a good tread but you Ladies would feel neglected by me, as I would always be righting some thing in there about DH then I wouldn't have time for you PG Ladies in here!

paulaplumpbottom · 07/12/2006 16:51

I won't join in as my Dh is lovely but I'm at the way yall are being treated. I think its awful Bambi that he is hoping for a miscarriage. I think most men come around in the end though. I think the best thig is a bit of PMA. I think babies probably need that more than anything.

conkertree · 07/12/2006 16:56

sorry to change the topic but just looking for some advice from those more experienced than me - the last few days in the late afternoon i have been getting really bad crampy pains - the first day i was really scared but the last two i've thought - well its the same as yesterday - but then today i also came over all white and started feeling sick - everyone at work was wondering what was wrong and so i was just saying - don't know just dont feel great. I lay down for 10 mins in one of the offices and then felt better so I'm sure people will be wondering especially if it happens again every afternoon.

Has anyone else had these crampy pains along with nausea?

paulaplumpbottom · 07/12/2006 17:38

I always get a bit crampy at the beginning of a pregnancy. About the same as my period. I have been assured that it is harmless, just my ligiments stretching to make way for my ever expanding uterus. However if its worse than period pain you are supposed to have it checked out. How bad is it. Just uncomfy or doubling over in pain?

ChristmasMadwithBump · 07/12/2006 17:51

I've got cramps at the moment on the left side trying hard not to worrie (not working). They say dont get stressed, but It's hard when your getting cramps and thinking the worsed isn't it!
I'm sure we'll be fine! Think happy thoughts! When I have five mins I search the net for cramps in first months of PG see what "pos" things I come up with! Back later!

paulaplumpbottom · 07/12/2006 17:57

I also found a short walk outside always made them go away. So does sex.

feedmechristmaspuddingnow · 07/12/2006 19:05

How can you even consider sex when your boobs are so uncomfie?!?

ChristmasMadwithBump · 07/12/2006 19:07

"ligaments stretching to make way for my ever expanding uterus" Been to a few baby websites they say the same! I feel abit better now knowing that's all it might be, hope you feel better too conkertree! To cold to go for a walk and I've gone off sex just feel like now dh had put it there I don't want it dislodging IYSWIM!

NattyandThomasandBump · 07/12/2006 20:03

BABYMAD!!! WELL DONE!! xxxxxxxxx

paulaplumpbottom · 07/12/2006 20:33

Well I find it takes my mind off that to. Its my cureall.

KatyH · 07/12/2006 20:33

Hello,

can I join this thread? Think I'm due Aug 12th with my second (feels like tempting fate typing this!)

Does anyone have any tips as to how I can stop people guessing over the christmas period? I'm a bit renowned for loving one or two glasses of vino but I've got so many nights out booked that I know everyone will guess really early on. Can't think of any way other than saying I'm on antibiotics or insisting on buying every round!
