I have finally got that positive after 6 years of TTC. I checked on a site that calculates due dates for IVF cycles and it gave me the due date of August 3rd. Is there not a thread created yet for August 2007?

Hi All
Loverly bird- sorry to hear about spotting, Let's keep everything crossed for you.

Hairdye- I'm waiting till after 12 weeks coz baby is quite vulnerable up till then, Your even meant to avoid cleaning poducts.
After that i've bought a low amonia hair dye, I hope it takes on my few greys.
But one friend while pg had her hair completely bleched and all was fine.

I have less than 48 hours to my scan now, can you tell i'm nervous. I've had no bad signs yet but three previous m/c makes you incredibly paranoid. I have to say I feel only 50% positive, I'm just too paranoid to get my hopes up, but so hope I don't have to leave you all.

I def look pg though, so i hope that it's a good sign, maybee twins who knows?

boobooma · 06/01/2007 09:02

Good luck at the scan Uki.

Catalepticdru · 06/01/2007 10:10

I used to laugh at my mate's sister who complained that pregnancy made her brain shrink (since she's a pretty ditzy person anyway). But I think she may have a point...
At work yesterday we were looking at some Google Earth pictures of the site where I work, trying to date them, our chem eng must have been during one of the shutdowns, because only 2 cars there and I said well it must have been the august one coz there are trees on the leaves....
Well trees do grow on leaves don't they??

Catalepticdru · 06/01/2007 10:11

Uki - will be thinking of you and praying for healthy bean

Ooh is that an excuse go get dh to do all the cleaning?

paulaplumpbottom · 06/01/2007 10:50

You mean he isn't already?

feedmenow · 06/01/2007 11:20

Morning everyone! I like this thing about the cleaning that I am hearing - dp is doing quite a lot of it at the moment but is complaining no end, so if I tell him I'm not alloewd to do it then he might shut up Also, our cats are sick quite a bit and I can't face cleaning it up at the mo so I keep leaving it to him. I actually think I might tell him that it is not only cat poo, but also cat vomit, that can be dangerous to pg ladies!! Ooooh, I'm so sneaky!
Had my letter thru with my scan date - not til 26th Jan when I think I'll be nearly 13 weeks. Also, appt is at 8.10am!!!! They prefer children not to go but what am I meant to do with my 2 at that time in the morning???

hormonalwreck · 06/01/2007 11:25

DH wafted a duster around once, then dismissed it as 'an insult to his masculinity'! Don't think he even knows where the cleaning products are. Has been know to push the hoover around - but then that is operating machinery, far more manly!!!

treacletart · 06/01/2007 11:39

I know I should probably keep quiet about him but you hear of so many horrible partners on mumsnet. My DH is fan-bloody-tastic even when I'm not pregnant and does most of the cleaning and almost all the cooking (I even get a bit angry sometimes at not getting a chance to cook!) But when I'm pregnant I hardly have to lift a finger he did all the christmas food shopping whilst I lay in bed! - I'm really very lucky I know. We were talking the other night about relationships and I asked him something along the lines of "What do I give to you?" and he laughed and said "Things to do!"

paulaplumpbottom · 06/01/2007 11:39

Feedmenow just tell him that he can complain when he has to go thru labor & delivery.

treacletart · 06/01/2007 11:40

woops - he's so great I posted twice!

Catalepticdru · 06/01/2007 11:43

DH has been very good, he has even cleaned the kitchen
We're going to start doing some cleaning very soon, so I'll let him do most of it. Hmmm hoovering is manual handling - pg ladies shouldn't be doing this

paulaplumpbottom · 06/01/2007 11:53

My DH has also been doing most of the cooking and cleaning and looking after DD. He has complained a bit about my grumpiness but not about having to carry the load.

boobooma · 06/01/2007 18:41

Ive got dp changing ds's pooey nappies if he's around cos I just start heaving when I smell them now.

paulaplumpbottom · 06/01/2007 19:07

Shocking what we can get away with isn't it?

DD1ofcolandgerry · 06/01/2007 20:16

Hi everyone,

Im nervously joining this thread. Currently 7+4 weeks pregnant and sooooo excited. However due to m/c(5+4 weeks) in Sept am still pretrified that it will all go horribly wrong again.

Been ttc for what seems a lifetime (2 yrs now)Went privately, had lap and dye, all clear results, and then day 21 test showed not ovulating. Started clomid 100mg and got pregnant on 2nd month. Then had m/c. Now preg again after 3 more months of clomid.

Ive had sore boobs from 3 weeks, tiredness I cant explain, and getting up to wee about 3 times a night.

Has scan earlier this week and saw heartbeat, so a bit calmer. They are bringing me back at 9 weeks for another scan (to reassure me as Im so nervous after m/c)

I recognise a few names from the ttc threads, but looking forward to getting to know you all

dd1

feedmenow · 06/01/2007 20:25

Hi DD!, I recognise you from ttc too! Congratulations! Try and be positive cos apparently good things happen to those who believe in good things happening to them...this is quite tricky for me cos I prefer to be pessamistic so that I'm prepared for the worse and things can only get better. But I've been reading lots of stuff that says to have a positive attitude and to believe in yourself/nature etc. And it can't hurt to try, can it

On another note, I was shopping today and came across some maternity stuff in the Mothercare sale. Got 2 tops, 1 dress, 1 skirt and a swimming cossie (cos I'm going to exercise, honest guv!) all for £30! Bargain! And all summer stuff too, in preparation of our promised really hot summer...

Catalepticdru · 06/01/2007 21:56

I too went shopping, my underwired bras and sports crop top are feeling very uncomfortable so I wanted some new bras.
I've bought 2 twin packs of Tesco Value cotton bras and a couple of strappy tops with hidden support, for the princely sum of £16
I'm such a cheapskate
Still they are quite comfy, I got D cups, hope I don't get too much bigger as these particular bras only go up to a DD!!!

paulaplumpbottom · 06/01/2007 22:00

Congratulations DD!!!!! I think all of us who have miscarried before are worried. I know I am. I think we just have to be as positive as possible.

feedmenow · 06/01/2007 22:11

Paul, when you say congrats DD I assume you meant congrats on pg to DD1, and not congrats to Cateleptic on DD bra size

feedmenow · 06/01/2007 22:11

Thats Paula, by the way, not Paul!!

Catalepticdru · 07/01/2007 09:39

Especially as I haven't got there yet!!!!
How is everyone this morning? We all feeling good?
Today I'm exactly 8 weeks gone So Bump is now a foetus instead of an embryo!!
Oh, found something amusing on www.babyexpert.com, a gender predictor. You do need to be registered to use it. It's based on your age and month of conception. Apparently I'm having a girl

hormonalwreck · 07/01/2007 10:42

Feel unbelievably tired this morning, slept for 13 hours last night (with 2 breaks for the mandatory wee. We're getting a puppy in a couple of weeks (as if I haven't got enough on my plate already) Anyway, I'm dog sitting this weekend for friends who are away and it's really hard getting up for his morning walk. He pines constantly until I take him out. How you girls cope with DC I don't know - you are all heros!!!

Well time to don my wellies again!

Well done on the shopping sprees, roll on the summer - I can't wait to get into shorts, T shirts and sandles again, my jeans are tight and uncomfortable!

paulaplumpbottom · 07/01/2007 12:10

Yes thats correct. Although depending on how Catalepticdru feels about it congrats may be in order for her to.

paulaplumpbottom · 07/01/2007 12:57

I have a had a bit of bleeding this morning. I am trying not to get upset because its brownish red with a few bright red spots , but this is how my first miscarriage started. I think I would go to the doctor, but its sunday which is just my luck. I'm so worried. I don't want to lose this baby.
