Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 36th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 35th grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Definitely Jelly, some days I can't stop crying

Lookingforadvice123 · 04/08/2015 20:18

Great news on scan pud. Xmas pid has a nose! Who'da thunk it.

I've decided against NCT too. Don't really get the point to be honest?

The two baby books highly recommended in my pregnancy yoga class are Annabel Karmel's Complete First Year Planner and Your Baby Week by Week by Caroline Fertleman (have ordered the latter on Amazon).

If you find a book on giving birth please let me know!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/08/2015 20:20

My sister has paid for me to have Daisy Birthing classes. Just need to book them. Smile She did then with her second and said she wished she had done it with her first!

I guess you need

Nappies, in various sizes, wipes.
Vests, Babygros, scratch mitts and a couple of little hats. Again various sizes. Babe might be bigger, especially if you go overdue.
2 change mats, one upstairs, one down. And a box of change stuff to go with each.
Sudocrem. Lanisoh.
Muslins. A good few, perfect to help clean up when feeding.
Blankets/swaddle/sheets for where Babe will sleep. And a crib or Moses basket should you prefer.
More vests and gros and sheets and blankets, because babies piss a lot. And nappies aren't foolproof Grin
Breast pads and lots of maternity pads.

Lots and lots of food and drink if you plan to BF. It leaves you fecking ravenous.

Ummmm that's all I can think of off the top of my head

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 20:26

Oh, and obviously this is for a few months on, but we loved our bouncy chair and so did DS. Totally indispensable when attempting to eat lunch in peace!

And I say no no no no no no to Baby Bjorns. They kill your back and aren't great for baby's hips. I had one last time, and switched to a Tula as soon as I could afford one after renting for a while. I'm going to try a bit of wrapping this time Smile

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 04/08/2015 20:31

Evening all!

Just stepping in to say hello and concur that I too, cry like well... A baby. Had my first bout of pregnancy rage today at XH who forgot where he was supposed to be to pick up DD for the evening and went to ours while we were sat on his doorstep waiting for him at dinnertime. Didn't yell at him but seethed for a good hour. preggosky is not to be trifled with...

Tried Little Lamb bamboo with DD. Gave up as they leaked too much and switched to Ecover. Might give them another go if they're still ok. Been in the basement for 5 years...

Still keeping everything crossed for those in limbo Flowers

mountaingirl01 · 04/08/2015 20:33

Lol maybe that's a good strategy for making sure I don't go over edd then!

Who was it that recently had to poo in a field? I almost had to copy you this evening, honestly thought I was either about to poo myself or give birth. Thankfully I made it home and am now seeing it as a long kegel exercise!

indigo I think you're getting a bit addicted to that epi-no! I'm bloody jealous

Definitely jelly hugs

Niffertiti · 04/08/2015 21:00

I had to take 30 mins away from my desk today to allow myself some time out. Someone sent me a slightly pissy email and I just wanted to cry, give up, quit my job and become a hermit. Hormonal, me???

MollyBloomYes · 04/08/2015 21:08

I feel like it's a matter of when rather than if I poo myself. My bowel feels very...bounced upon.

I'm pretty hormonal and swing wildly between sobs and rage but I'm mainly just cloth headed and clumsy.

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 21:11

I very very nearly lost my shit at a customer when I was pg with DS. The only reason I didn't is because my manager randomly popped in just as she was really pushing my buttons Angry
Luckily my colleagues were sympathetic (the customer WAS being a bitch) and let me go and have a weep for 10 minutes in the toilet Grin

I'm hoping that not working this time will help me avoid that!

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 21:13

And OMG I cannot remember the names of things! Like easy easy names of places I go to all the time. Or I'll think oven but say freezer so my sentences simply don't make sense!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 04/08/2015 21:21

I'd like to give daisy a go. still not sure what the future will hold pregnancy wise, if I develop cholestasis I will have to be induced so don't want to "plan" if that makes sense.
lots of pain tonight, definitely linked to doing lots and had a ridiculously busy day.
I keep meaning to ask, who do I harass to get on the Facebook group?

gaggiagirl · 04/08/2015 21:28

would it was la but she's busy...i think maybe purple defo pis cos she did me and maybe chat

MollyBloomYes · 04/08/2015 21:31

Oh Thursday yes! I was waaaaaay too pregnant in the final weeks to be teaching kids. Never lost my rag but my poor TAs had to be on super high alert to intervene! Glad I'm not working this time!

Jcandy · 04/08/2015 21:52

Sorry I've not been replying much recently, I've been reading but my brain hasn't functioned enough to reply.

Sorry to all those viroids having worrying times. I hope everything turns out Ok

Yay for 20 week scan pud Smile I'm glad all is good!

Thanks for all the cloth nappy talk. It has left me still just as confused as to what to do but it's still useful information.

I'm so tired, working loads since I'm only doing short shifts but don't feel like I have enough time in between to cover. Like others my baby brain is in full force, can't remember who said it but I am also mixing up words so I make no sense.

Only got back from work an hour ago but flagging now so must sleep. Try and catch up better with you viroids tomorrow. Sweet preggo dreams to you all!

Purpleball · 04/08/2015 21:54

I am not a patient person. When pregnant, I'm a million times worse. I struggled to hold back on the customer today that had a shit speaker phone and who I had to keep asking to repeat themselves pick the fucking phone up or get in the same room as it you fucking morons

Video monitor has arrived from Amazon, I'm really impressed and it was £50 down from £300 allegedly. We can view it on our iPads, and control the angle etc. it has night vision too but doesn't light up the nursery Smile
Also got a no touch thermometer for £30 ish, seemed like a good idea to not poke something in the ear of an ill baby Wink

Purpleball · 04/08/2015 21:56

I think any FB group member can add you if they have your email address that you use for FB, unless you're a FB friend.
Happy to try Would if you pm me your email address Smile

LaLaLaaaa · 04/08/2015 22:06

I'm here too if u want to send pm with email address - I think lots of us are admins so can add people

Catch up tomorrow! Been bit shattered today

ChatEnOeuf · 04/08/2015 23:02

Yep I can do. PM your FB email or friend me and I'll add you.

Loving the positive scan news. I'm taking my mind off things by climbing mountains and eating delicious food...

mountaingirl01 · 05/08/2015 06:45

Sounds gorgeous chat

honeysucklejasmine · 05/08/2015 06:51

Oooh Chat, sounds lovely!

I now seem to wake up about this time every morning. Could be worse I guess. Last night I had to sleep slightly propped up due to heartburn. Lovely.

Aufwiedersehenpetrarch · 05/08/2015 07:20

jc if you're confused about cloth nappies, go with disposables! Easy peasy. Once you're settled and a few months in with the mite and maybe have seen some people use them, you can give them a go. Or not. :)
H-mm-m. Baby list. We never used scratch mits? I thought we would, so I bought a pair, but we didn't. Hmm Cutting a newborn's nails is a real bitch! They really should offer that in ante-natal classes in my opinion. It continues being a bitch, btw
Yes to nipple cream. OMG YES TO NIPPLE CREAM!
I had ice cream for breakfast. That is all.

honeysucklejasmine · 05/08/2015 07:27

Most people I know dressed their babies in onsies with mitts attached, or used socks instead, as they stay on better.

Ice cream for breakfast?! Amazing!

jellypi3 · 05/08/2015 07:40

Morning viroids. I'm in a bad mood this morning and everyone I come in contact with seems intent on making it worse, including the self checkout till at tesco...

CarrotPuff · 05/08/2015 07:42

I also bought scratch mitts but never used them. If they scratch themselves it's not a big deal imo, but then I've never been very pfb. I was told by MWs that while DS is a newborn I could just bite his nails off, as their nails are so tiny and soft. Worked a treat Grin

Some shops do babygros with fold over mitts - I think Sainsbury's and Mothercare, probably others too.

Grapes and cake with tea here!
