Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 36th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 35th grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Can I get some sense talked into me viroids. My cat just jumped from top top of a sofa (so not overly high) on to my belly. I've now got a dull ache in my lower abdomen. DP is furious and wants to get rid of the cats, and I've told him there's loads of padding in there but he's still angry. It should be fine shouldn't it?

WouldRatherHaveCake · 04/08/2015 15:27

niff flip does a night time insert now, I love it! I think basically it depends on the shape, size and type of wetter your baby is. Like I agree with a lot of what auf said, but I hate tots bots as I can't get a good enough seal around my boys skinny legs, but get on really well with bumgenius and pop ins. Yes the pop ins are more rigid but mine wash up well and they are a good "learner" nappy if you are used to disposables as the double gusset and velcro is very forgiving.
I didn't get on with 2 parters, the inner nappy is absorbant all over so he was wet not just on his bum but over the tops of his legs too and he got a bit sore - but only in 2 parters on the tops of the legs. Weird!

If you like the look of elementals but need quick drying, try freestyles. Same nappy but made of microfiber so dry really quickly, but they don't last quite as long on the bum as the bamboo

WouldRatherHaveCake · 04/08/2015 15:29

jelly yes you will be fine, unless your cat is mahoosive! See how you go, but I know someone who had a 4 year old jump on their 7m bump and was achy but ok. I would . apply the same rules as always, any bleeding or cramping or you are worried, give someone a call.

MrsTattoo · 04/08/2015 15:32

Watching "I didn't know I was pregnant" on the health channel. How can these women actually exist? I'm going to be 7 weeks tomorrow and I definately know about it!

How can you not know until theres a head hanging out your foof?! Shock

Purpleball · 04/08/2015 15:40

Jelly you'll be fine. It's got your padding and amniotic fluid. Any cramping or bleeding get checked out but really don't worry.

DHs friends GF didn't know she was pregnant. He got a call at work to say she was in hospital. Got there to find out he had a son!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/08/2015 15:44

Jelly didn't your monster cat jump on you before? And you were absolutely fine. Agree with cake... Cramps or bleeding, call your midwife. Otherwise, stay calm.

And tell DH to stick it. Or send La round to kick his arse. I know, he's just a bit shocked

jellypi3 · 04/08/2015 16:10

Yeah he did honey but that was a lot earlier. I think it'll be ok, DP is worrying more than me I think. Making me paranoid.

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 16:26

jelly you will be fine. Aches probably more from you tensing, then the actual impact.
Tell your DH to pull himself together!

LaLaLaaaa · 04/08/2015 17:00

Marking. !

jellypi3 · 04/08/2015 17:09

Thanks folks, feeling better now.

la hey :)

oneyorkshirepud · 04/08/2015 17:36

Jelly, my 4 year old nephew climbed over my tummy the other day protected the baby with my awesome ab muscles, kapow! and I bet he weighs more than your cat. I figure it happens all the time to people who already have sprogs.

My Mum didnt know she was pregnant with my older bro until 3 months, but to be fair she was still having full periods! She went to the doctor because she thought she had glandular fever she felt so rubbish. Turns out she was preggo!

Ooh read my scan notes and turns out I have a posterior placenta (at the back) hence why I can feel so many wiggles.

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 17:43

Toddlers and elbows. In boobs, in belly. My daily struggle is not ripping his little arms off every time he thrusts his elbows into me with his whole (not insubstantial) weight Angry

oneyorkshirepud · 04/08/2015 17:46

P.s. NFMCA (Cat's Arse), Eris has just done a MASSIVE poo. Honest to God it is nearly as long as her! Unbelievable!

P.p.s. I bought a pack of baby grows yesterday. I wanted to buy something for the baby before the scan 'just in case'. They are freaking adorable, I can't stop looking at them. Smile MIL bought us a pack of nappies as a joke present too, so I now have a pack of nappies and three baby grows - that's us pretty much sorted right?!

mountaingirl01 · 04/08/2015 17:53

You're about as ready as me then pud over exaggerating slightly, I also have a car seat great news re scan :D

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 18:26

Can't see what else you'd need pud. Sorted.

DulcetMoans · 04/08/2015 19:22

Checking in for cheering and chatting. If I can just master this one handed typing... On the left especially!

purple, that is crazy! Bet they were both pretty freaked out.

Yay for Eris pud! She must be doing well.

I'm sure it's fine jelly, like you said there's lots of padding but call it in if you think something has been affected. But don't get rid of the cats!

honeysucklejasmine · 04/08/2015 19:38

Mountain you do make me laugh with your lack of shopping.

Sods Law says Indigo has a c section and minimountain comes tomorrow.

oneyorkshirepud · 04/08/2015 19:40

Ha ha good to know that we are baby ready! Having a bit of a 'shit just got real' evening post scan, in a good way. So I wondered if anyone can recommend:

A book on birth. We decided against NCT classes but will do the NHS ones and probably some hypno/daisy birthing. But I would also quite like to know the mechanics as well/be able to understand what is happening if the shit hits the fan.

A book on babies - probably entitled something like 'What the frick to do with a baby'.

And if someone could post their baby buying stuff list again that would be muchos appreciated. Ta Viroids, don't know what I would do without you all!

Indigoblue2 · 04/08/2015 19:49

honey you turd, that's not remotely funny ShockGrin

Indigoblue2 · 04/08/2015 19:50

Keep hitting the 10cms, and the crowning out barely stings now. I'm loving my Epi-No Smile

oneyorkshirepud · 04/08/2015 19:51

You are going to be a birthing pro! I will be so upset if you end up with a CS

MollyBloomYes · 04/08/2015 19:55

tea I'm so pleased for you! That's great news! And 5hell hope you can get through to epu soon and all OK.

We had a Charlie banana. Thought I was going to love it from reviews. I thought wrong. Massively fiddly bra strap thing, didn't absorb very well and just felt wrong fit wise! I've found ds goes up and down sizes as he fattens then lengthens during growth spurts and clicking a popper much easier than faffing with a hidden bra strap. Others love them though, horses for courses!

pud I bought loads of books. All useless and panic inducing. Best source of info was the Babycentre website as and when questions arose. Sorry I can't be more helpful but it is a good website Smile

Pooped. Day out at national trust Park today. Much picnicking, stomping about and barking at cows. In ds's world all animals bark Hmm

ThursdayLast · 04/08/2015 20:13

I tend to agree with Molly re: books about birth. I'd still well clear. I read a few last time, didn't really take it in - because you can't, the variables are vast. And then my experience was about as far removed from those described as it was possible!

And baby books vary so much! Why don't you have a scooch around your local library?

Sounds like a lovely day Molly Smile

CarrotPuff · 04/08/2015 20:13

Oh god Thirsday I got KICKED in the boob today!

We were moving when I was 30w+ so we didn't get any baby shopping until after. It can all be done on one weekend, especially if you have big things sorted (pram, car seat, cot).

Pud I would post a list but on phone ATM, sorry!

jellypi3 · 04/08/2015 20:15

Do any of you get really emotional days. No idea why but I've been really teary all day for no reason, can only assume hormones
