Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 36th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 35th grads fred is here.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 51st outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

Here is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Bought some more baby gros for baby Candy and also some primarni stretchy cheap tops for me Smile Oh and my mum bought us a snow suit all in one thing that looks so cosy. Good day!

What's the difference between cellular blanket and other cotton knitted blankets? I read somewhere that you need cellular blankets for the crib/cot why specifically cellular?

SecondCupOfTea · 15/08/2015 18:33

Toast I think cellular ones are those open weave ones (like knitted) that trap air. Of course, I might be completely wrong Hmm

I'm making macaroni cheese bake for tea, but with added pancetta, cauliflower and broccoli. Yums!

honeysucklejasmine · 15/08/2015 18:33

Cellular have holes in them, like a crochet blanket. Maybe it's a safety thing?

WouldRatherHaveCake · 15/08/2015 18:43

I assumed the same as honey. I have to say though, if you want something different from the typical colours go to cologne and cotton. They have a bright colours range that I bought a few of last time

WigglyBraddins · 15/08/2015 18:48

La you are an absolute super woman for getting Your DS safely into the world.

I had an experience with DS1 that was similar. I had convinced myself with DS2 that I was just going to have a totally different experience so it was all fine. When I got to 36 weeks & realised the same thing might happen again I completely freaked. I found a doula who did EMDR as she's a trained hypnotherapist and spent two sessions having a labour debrief with her. It was the best 4 hours and £75 I've ever spent because when I ended up in the same hospital being prepped for theatre for an attempt at forceps and then a c section I was as cool as a cucumber. This time my birth was a really positive experience.

So, in a v long winded way, I'm saying definitely have a debrief with the hospital and think about having some other kind of therapy (EMDR worked for me).

Big hugs to you La.

Second that sounds lush! spot the West Country girl I'm having pasta too- with roasted squash and some other stuff Though can't remember what goes in it- though I actually better go and start making it, just realised its almost 7.

I've been sitting up in baby's room doing an inventory of everything we have and trying to work out what we still need. The 'have' list just outweighs the 'need' list so far though I haven't tackled the bags of clothes yet.

Oh yeah the ones with holes in- sorry what I meant was why are these better/recommended? I wondered if it was a safety thing too- or does the fact they trap air make them warmer?

honeysucklejasmine · 15/08/2015 18:57

Hi Wiggly!

Sorry to ask.... AGAIN.... But can any if the more organised people please post the baby, mother and hospital shopping list again? I promise promise promise to save it this time! Pinky swear! I tried to find if on FB but it's lost to the ether.

Toast85 · 15/08/2015 19:00

I've got screenshots from last time- shall I post them to the fb group?

Toast85 · 15/08/2015 19:01

Also- were not far off another new fred!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/08/2015 19:07

I think cellular blankets breathe and keep baby from overheating. Being too hot is a concern

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/08/2015 19:18

Have just been out shopping with BFF. She had a Primark gift voucher from her work so treated me to some new pants and bras and an athletic bra for night and got herself loads of workout gear and PJs... It was super fun. I forgot how fun it is shopping with mates. We also hit up H&M and Topshop for maternity jeans for me as I am too bloated for even my biggest jeans. I needed maternity with DD around 13 weeks last time so figured even though I'm only 8 weeks I might as well get something that will fit properly in leg and bum. H&M was a horror show. Had to go a size up and the cut still made me look fat. Got a smashing pair at Topshop that I love. They were £45 but I'm sure I will wear them alllllll the time so is worth it to feel comfortable and myself. A bit dismayed at how big I am already, hoping some of it is water... Or maybe it is just giblets?!

Yum to cauliflower and prosciutto Mac and cheese bake! Promised DP would make him porcini mushroom risotto for dinner. Going to have to prop eyes open with toothpicks. So sleepy!

Jcandy · 15/08/2015 19:22

Just threw up after the car journey home. Not so good a day Sad

Jcandy · 15/08/2015 19:23

I'm not really sure why cellular blankets but I have a couple of them, my nan is also knitting me some blankets (she's 91 and can only see enough to knit squares, my aunt is crocheting the squares together, think I might cry when she gives them to me)

Jcandy · 15/08/2015 19:25

Sky I always find that h&m jeans are awful sizing so didn't even bother when looking for mat jeans!

honeysucklejasmine · 15/08/2015 19:25

Yes please toast!

honeysucklejasmine · 15/08/2015 19:27

Oh JC, that's rubbish. Did you have a bucket?

picklethistle · 15/08/2015 19:37

I've eaten too much food mostly cake and I feel so so sick. Have a whole shift to get through before I can lie down Sad

Toast85 · 15/08/2015 19:53

Hmm JC your bff sounds lovely though! I bought gap maternity jeans and have loved them. Jeans are worth spending a little more on, I agree.

Ok, maybe I need one or 2 more cellular blankets then. Thanks!

Toast85 · 15/08/2015 19:54

Oh no pickle I know that feeling too!

MollyBloomYes · 15/08/2015 20:07

Another one completely flummoxed by blankets here. I want to try swaddling but I'm sure I vaguely remember a midwife saying cellular blankets shouldn't be used for that. But swaddle blankets seem needlessly expensive. Who knew blankets could be so confusing!

gaggiagirl · 15/08/2015 20:10

honey 3 roofers have been out to look at the roof, they all promised to price up and get back to us and did they? Did they fuck! This is the friggin north east where most people whinge about no jobs/work/money/opportunity. Well fuck you roofers! Fucking fuck you! On the plus side we don't need a new boiler. That's a good thing since there is no gas/leccy connection Grin

Jcandy · 15/08/2015 20:12

Managed to hold out till I got home thankfully honey!

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 15/08/2015 20:30

Awwww JC you poor thing.

Having a bit of a moment about how large I have gotten in the span of 1 month... Feeling quite distressed about it actually. I look about 4 months pregnant. I'm naturally an apple shape but this is ridiculous!

pretzelpieces · 15/08/2015 20:35

I'm away and so out of the loop! Hope everyone is doing okay. I did scroll back and read your birth story, la thanks so much for sharing and finding the time to type it all out. You coped with it all so well. I'm sorry you weren't treated better.

We're still away until tomorrow evening so you will all be on a new fred by then! Don't go without linking to it or I won't find you! Grin
