Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

Boom! DH bought me a digital clear blue this morning and it definitely said I was 2-3 weeks pregnant. That's me done now. As it's such early days I probably won't bother calling to arrange a booking appointment for a few more weeks. Seems a bit early for anything else.

The last baby was made of 50% noodles and 50% toast. I may try to be a bit more healthy this time....

ThursdayLast · 20/07/2015 13:18

Yay congrats Sunny!

TeddyRuxpinsSmile · 20/07/2015 13:41

Congrats sunny. I can't wait for the digital to show up too. My last baby was made entirely from chocolate oranges and I put on 40lbs. Am hoping this time won't be quite so chocolate orangey...

Raeside · 20/07/2015 14:11

Congrats Sunny - woohoo!

I'm in poas hell. Friday - positives on IC, FRER and Clear Blue Digi. Saturday - same faint positive on IC, Sunday - again with IC so took
FRER which was positive but more faint than Friday's. Today - same on IC so took FRER (am now obv bankrupt) and although it came up v quickly the line is the faintest FRER one yet.

This is bad, huh? Shit.

Went for my scan this morning after Saturday mornings chaos.
All was good and heartbeat found.
Stops me panicking now.
Brill stuff sunny.

Saltedcaramel2014 · 20/07/2015 14:27

Hello all. Happy to have found this thread! It is such a different journey this time round, with a toddler in tow... I'm 9 weeks pregnant (so due end of February) and have a 2 year old boy. Plenty of nausea and knackeredness this time! Especially is DS is an unstoppable early riser. But excited too. looking forward to talking more.

Saltedcaramel2014 · 20/07/2015 14:30

Congrats Huffle!

LastOneDancing - I also had an emcs last time and am weighing up vbac vs elcs. I want to have confidence that my body knows what to do but it's tricky when the first time didn't go smoothly. On another note I also have weirdly not-sore boobs this time! You're not the only one...

rdr15 · 20/07/2015 14:37

Hi teddy lastone and saltedcaramel :)
Congrats sunny and huffle
I never had sore boobs last time nor this time however my nipples are really sensitive (sorry if tmi!) I don't know if it's because of pregnancy or because of my DD's teeth either way I think our bf journey is coming to an end which I feel a bit sad about.
teddy now craving chocolate orange!

rdr15 · 20/07/2015 14:41

raeside from my limited knowledge of POAS (have only ever taken 4 tests with both pregnancies) I thought clear blue was as good as a doctor's test so if you tested positive surely that means you are pregnant? Have you missed a period?

ThursdayLast · 20/07/2015 14:43

Rae is it worth telling this to your doc and getting a blood test done maybe?

Raeside · 20/07/2015 14:49

Thursday & rdr - yes I'd wondered about blood testing but I've such a busy week with finishing one contract and starting another I'm not sure when I'd get to the surgery....argh.

I'll try a Digi again tomorrow morning. I don't think it's to do with if I'm upduff as I'm sure I, but more if it's sticking....stupid pee sticks....

Thank you, though.

Hi everyone do you mind if I join you?

I'm pg again for the 4th time. I have one dd who was born by emcs 9 months ago. She took 5 years to conceive so to get pg again so quickly has been a surprise. Had very bad sickness last time and feeling it again.

Had my first scan the other day and blood tests tomorrow.

Indomitable · 20/07/2015 15:39

Raeside think of all the things that could affect the tests, like the time of day, how hydrated you are, how sensitive the tests are, how old the tests are. Try not to read anything quantitative into this.

This is a risk with constant testing. I had to stop myself going down the same route. I waited till I had digital confirmation and am trying to leave it at that.

How far along do you think you are?

SunnyL · 20/07/2015 15:39

Welcome all newbies.

Rae from reading the leaflet on thr clearblue today it suggests you wait 5 days because of the natural fluctuations in hormones in your body.

If you can wait that long that is Wink

Raeside · 20/07/2015 15:56

Indomitable & Sunny - thank you! I've tried to test same time every day but I think it's all complicated by only being 4+3! I mean, I feel knackered but that's fairly status quo!

I've another Digi left so will try to wait a few days before testing again. It's so unlike me to be a worry wart....

Oh that's brill news Huffle - you must be stoked.

RooibosTeaAgain · 20/07/2015 17:38

Great news Sunny and Huffle
How many weeks are you Sunny?
Rae I am 4+3 and tests look the same on IC last few days and first CB Digital said not pregnant but 2nd one I took came up 1-2 weeks if any use.

Raeside · 20/07/2015 18:12

Thanks Rooibus - I'm sure it's just varying levels in these early days but I've got souch happening on the work front I'd like to free up some brain space by not thinking so much bout this silly situation!!

We are on exact same weeks+days then, I think....

Indomitable · 20/07/2015 18:29

Rooibos & Rae I'm 4+3 too!

iliketeaalot · 20/07/2015 18:48

Hi, can I join too? I'm 8+2 so due end of February next year, already have ds 20 months, and found out I was pregnant from a blood test so haven't even POAS - which I found very weird... Have been pretty symptom free (did the boob-prodding thing too!) but have recently started to feel very bloated in the evenings as if my stomach wants to just relax after a long day. Had a mmc in March, and another one before ds was born, so hoping for better luck this time.
Not in the UK, so off to see gynae on Thursday for a scan, so fingers crossed!

stupidgirl45 · 20/07/2015 19:00

Hi all,

Can i join too? I'm 13+5 due 20th Jan and I have a DS who will be 3 this september

I so sympathise on the exhaustion + nausea - I've been off sick from a combo of that an ante-natal depression since June 7th.. finally due back to work next week!

I found 1st time hard but this is so so so much worse and I've had some dark thought but feel like I'm much better now. Big hugs if you're finding it hard - the GP can prescribe meds for nausea so def go and ask if you're struggling to keep anything down.

I found it hard to drink much so ice lollies helped a lot here. I hear you all on the carb front - am addicted to pitta bread and humus and pasta and cheese now! Also drinking a lot of a milk (same as last time).

I am only feeling moderately excited now after all the same fears - knicker checking, MMC as most of you. I think once I get to 20 wk scan I'll be through the worst mentally.

Despite having crappy pregnancies, I was lucky with my birth (although LO ended up in ScBU a couple days after) so I'm oddly looking forward to that again (birth NOT scbu).

anyway that was mammoth but hugs to those who need them, hang on in there xx

mayaknew · 20/07/2015 19:14

Oh great news huffle !! Smile

Stupidgirl I'm the same I cannot face Any liquids at all I really have to force myself . At my booking appointment my MW took one look at my urine sample and said "maya you really need to drink more!!" My urine was so dark . I knew myself I was dehydrated I'm trying but it's hard Sad

rdr15 · 20/07/2015 21:19

Hi mrsnec iliketea and stupidgirl :)
I also have to keep reminding myself to drink trying to stick to water but been tempted more and more by fizzy drinks. What is it about pregnancy that turns me into a complete animal I just want to eat everything that is bad for me! Going to be a whale by the time I'm 12 weeks.

iliketeaalot · 20/07/2015 21:38

I'm just addicted to late night massive bowls of cereal!

ThursdayLast · 20/07/2015 22:22

So far Ive felt well enough by the evening to eat a decent dinner with veg, and drink lots of water.

I'm nauseous from waking to about 3pm, and then I'm just totally worn out in the afternoon. DH put DS to bed tonight so I had a rest nap for an hour, t'was lush Grin
