Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

Can you get an idea of your baby's eventual routine by when it kicks? If so I'm in trouble. This baby kicks ALL NIGHT LONG!

hufflebottom · 22/12/2015 09:36

Hope so but unlikely. There's no way I'm gonna get away with bump sleeping all night the moment it arrives.

Brindler · 23/12/2015 19:44

Lol sunny - I've also got a late night kicker!

How you feeling now Huffle? I'm also joining you on the sick list - on antibiotics for a throat infection which then turned into one of the nastiest head colds I've ever had!

hufflebottom · 24/12/2015 03:54

Feeling a lot better ta. It's about time too.

Hope you feel better soon. It's pants being ill.

Shirkingfromhome · 24/12/2015 12:22

🎄🎄🎄 Just popping in to wish you all a merry Christmas. I'm taking comfort in the fact I won't be the only sober one Wink 🎄🎄🎄

(Hope the poorly ones among us get a bit of time to put your feet up)

hufflebottom · 24/12/2015 13:56

Happy Christmas all.

Fraggle have a lovely Christmas with your dd.

Not long to go now for the rest of us.

SunnyL · 29/12/2015 13:01

Morning all.

Just back from the midwife who is checking my iron levels after i explained how I was feeling. Has anyone else had to go on iron tablets during pregnancy? I had to take them after the birth last time but not during.

hufflebottom · 29/12/2015 18:46

Not during. Like you it was after.

Are you on them now? Or waiting to see?

Brindler · 29/12/2015 22:17

Hey sunny yes I've been put on iron tablets during both pregnancies

SunnyL · 30/12/2015 09:18

Brindler did you feel any different afterwards? I've got seriously low energy, breathless, occasionally dizzy and occasional headaches. I'd love a bit more energy but it feels like I can do so much then I hit a wall and can't move for hours afterwards.

Brindler · 30/12/2015 21:32

Can't say I did I'm afraid sunny! But I've been anaemic on and off since I was a teenager so I think I'm just used to feeling like this! I'd strongly advise taking the iron tablets though - with dd I only took them for a couple of weeks and then stopped as I couldn't bear the constipation - then nearly ended up in hospital a few months after her birth because my iron levels had dropped so low

hufflebottom · 02/01/2016 06:10

We're in 2016 everyone. Not long to go now.

Shirkingfromhome · 02/01/2016 10:41

Happy New year! Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas.

Is anyone else exhausted stupid question ? I felt great up until this week and now I'm seriously flagging. Doesn't help I've been hit with insomnia and ds is still in our bed. I might try that tonic (I've forgotten the name) & see if that helps at all

Brindler · 02/01/2016 20:12

Happy new year everyone! Can't believe our babies will be here soon still don't think its quite sunk in for me! Added some nappies to our weekly food order today - need to start getting organised

hufflebottom · 04/01/2016 19:02

3 weeks till i start maternity leave. Can't wait. Smile hips ache and my lower back is throbbing now.

Need some recommendations for nappies as I used huggies with dd. So don't know what to use now. Unless pampers has improved in the last 6 years.

Shirkingfromhome · 04/01/2016 19:32

I used to use Aldi with DS for new born up to size 4 but they changed them so I switched to Sainsbury's own and I've never had a problem with them. I tried pampers too (size 4) but they kept leaking.

3 weeks? Bet you can't wait!

hufflebottom · 04/01/2016 20:04

Will grab some sainsburys ones too. I got some waitrose ones the other day as they're on offer.

Nice to know pampers are still rubbish.

Brindler · 04/01/2016 20:40

I switched to tesco own brand ones with dd after 'shooting up the back' issues with pampers! Going to give them a go from newborn this time - so much cheaper!

Wow 3 weeks Huffle! I've still got 8 to go which I'm starting to think might be a bit ambitious. Although I only work 2 days a week so it's only actually 15 working days left

SunnyL · 04/01/2016 21:20

We had reusable nappies during the day and Lidl ones at night which have never caused us any issues.

Brindler I've also got 8 weeks to go though I counted up the days - only 26 to go. I love being part time!!

hufflebottom · 04/01/2016 23:09

I only work the weekends and I finish on a Saturday so I've only got 5 more shifts.

Gives me 4ish weeks before my due date.

Someone else had mentioned lidls. I may just go buy a mixture and find the best ones.

Shirkingfromhome · 05/01/2016 15:28

I think I'm working up to my due date. I only work a few hours a week and I'm pretty sure I'll go over. I was 2 wks late with ds and incredibly bored!

Is everyone measuring ok for their dates? I've had to book another appt as I'm measuring 2 wks behind. Hoping it's because I have a long back and he has lots of space to hide in! I wasn't particularly bothered but the midwife was very belt & braces about it all Hmm

sarahpenrose2606 · 05/01/2016 21:44

Bit late to join but wondering if I can. First time mumsnet! Third baby due 29th (!) feb. Anyone else feeling easily exhausted?!

hufflebottom · 05/01/2016 22:48

Hi sarah

SunnyL · 06/01/2016 06:48

Hi Sarah abs welcome. Yup I'm supremely knackered. the days I don't have an afternoon nap I'm demolished by 6pm. They took my blood last week to check if I was anaemic but as no one has phoned me it looks look i can't blame my lack of energy on that.

Shirking my sister had similar issues with all 3of her babies and she is tall. She got ti have extra scans which she enjoyed because she got to see her babies again.

Shirkingfromhome · 06/01/2016 07:02

Hi Sarah

Thanks sunny feel a bit better about it now. I'm sure I had the same thing with ds but it seems so long ago now!
