Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

Still ache. Left work early yesterday as I could barely make it up the stairs. Was better today so went in. But now have a really pants cough. Which is hurting my ribs.

Shirkingfromhome · 13/12/2015 20:30

I think you're allowed to take lemsip huffle but only the really basic one. Really feel for you working weekends too, I hated it at Christmas. People become so rude.

Brindler · 13/12/2015 21:09

Eeek fraggle! Only 3 weeks left for you! Yours must be one of the first due on this thread? Can't believe we'll all be having our babies soon. I'm 27 weeks now and apparently in the last trimester - that was a bit freaky to hear!

Shirking I did the same! But couldn't sleep as dh was out and I hate being in the house alone at night. Until he came crashing through the door at 1.30am and left the living room door open meaning a 5am wake up call from my cat!! Been exhausted today but managed to squeeze in a cheeky afternoon nap

Oh Huffle I can't believe how poorly you've been 😔 I really hope it doesn't last too much longer for you

SunnyL · 13/12/2015 22:13

Jeezo - 3 weeks to go? Envy

I'm only 26 weeks but getting bored of feeling poorly. This weekend I've had a thumping headache with blurry vision. My legs and hands are looking a bit puffy too so am going to phone the midwife if its still bad tomorrow since a quick tour of Dr Google suggests this is not a good sign.

hufflebottom · 14/12/2015 07:55

Not good Sunny. She'll send you in to be checked over. I'd give the hospital a call. Hope you're ok.

Cheers for the kind words all.

hufflebottom · 14/12/2015 07:56

One positive was my GTT came back normal and I'm not anaemic.

Shirkingfromhome · 14/12/2015 19:34

Did you get checked out Sunny ? Hope everything is ok.

Great news on the GTT huffle , I have mine on Monday.

SunnyL · 14/12/2015 21:07

I didn't go. I just couldn't work out if it was a really really bad headache or just a bad headache. And actually I feel bloomin grand today. In fact i was on fire today at work - I've managed to clear so much work that's been on my to do list for months.

Shirkingfromhome · 14/12/2015 22:00

So pleased you're much better!

Fraggleyourock · 14/12/2015 23:16

3 weeks... When it's there in front of me it makes it incredibly real! This pregnancy really has seemed to just fly by!
Sunny, I'm glad you're feeling better! How are you doing huffle? So pleased your GTT came back clear! I hope yours does on Monday as well shirking! (I'll take being the only one of us on here with GD for the team!)

hufflebottom · 15/12/2015 09:26

I'm pottering on. Tried to get a gp's appointment in the hope of there being something he could do but no luck. No matter how much pleasing with the reception staff there are no appointments today Sad

Also only 3 more early mornings then it's Christmas holidays. I'm planning on teaching dd about the joys of lie ins.

Fraggleyourock · 15/12/2015 14:39

I'm so sorry you're still suffering huffle! It's so unfair! I really hope you get some rest in and feel better ASAP!
I saw the consultant today, apparently with GD they don't like you to go past 41 weeks, so I've been booked in for an induction for the 8th of January!! Would be nice to go naturally before that though, but it's scary to think that no matter what, I've got only 3+3 weeks left, regardless!

hufflebottom · 15/12/2015 17:05

I managed to get a gp appointment. Result.

Ooo Fraggle least you know if you haven't had baby by then it's birthday will be the around the 9th January. It's all exciting.

Fraggleyourock · 16/12/2015 13:59

Excellent huffle! How did it go? Are you any better?
I am very much looking forward to meeting my little bundle, however the labour may start! As long as when it finishes I am holding a healthy baby then I'm happy!

LCR77 · 16/12/2015 16:42

Congrats on the GTT test huffle must be a relief.

Shirkingfromhome · 16/12/2015 19:36

Oh wow Fraggle how exciting, Christmas, new year, baby...! That's the way to start a year.

Sorry you're still feeling poorly huffle.

Had my first "are you sure it's not twins?" comment today. Yawn. Seem to have had a massive a growth spurt I have definitely not been at the Christmas chocolates

hufflebottom · 17/12/2015 10:27

I'm on antibiotics. Kinda makes me feel better knowing I wasn't losing the plot when I mentioned it to the midwife last week. One more day and they should start kicking in.

LCR- it's a positive in it all. Smile something going right.

Shirking-it's funny how people think you're lying when you're pregnant

Fraggleyourock · 17/12/2015 14:09

Good afternoon ladies!
Huffle, I'm pleased you've got some antibiotics! I hope you feel more human very soon!
I went for a nap this afternoon, and have woken up cramping... Not sure if it's the start! They are really fucking painful though! What do you do when you go into labour? I was induced with ds so I'm not sure what the practice is xx

SunnyL · 17/12/2015 16:20

How cool Fraggle.

I had a tens machine which was amazing and took the dog for a walk. To be fair it was over 54 hours of contractions before I went to hospital - they ended up taking pity on me and letting me in cos I was shattered. It was another 24 hours before baby arrived though.

Shirkingfromhome · 17/12/2015 19:39

Oo Fraggle how exciting Grin how are you feeling? I'm no help, I was induced too. I think if your waters go then you ring up and they'll see how close your contractions are before they'll take you in (unless you've gone over 24hrs). But this is only what I've been told and it will probably vary from region.

54 hours Shock Sunny you poor thing.

Fraggleyourock · 17/12/2015 23:10

Had the baby, at 2 minutes to 4! A beautiful little girl and I'm over the moon! So my labour was just over 3 hours in total! Had her in the car just outside of the ward, midwives arrived just in time! Will fill you all in properly tomorrow!!
Sunny! I can't believe you were in labour for so long! I bet you were shattered!
Xx

hufflebottom · 18/12/2015 02:18

Fraggle over the moon for you! That's wonderful. Thanks

Congratulations.

Shirkingfromhome · 18/12/2015 07:16

SunnyL · 18/12/2015 08:07
