Hiya - just thought an alternative place for those of us on our 2nd or more pregnancies might be a good idea. I just found out and already it's very different than the first time!

I'm on #2, EDD 25/3/16, one DS 2yrs and 2 months.

OP posts:

Oh god Huffle. You're making me panic.

Maybe Santa will be kind to me??

hufflebottom · 02/12/2015 18:04

When are you due Sunny?

I'm only that organised because I can't trust 'd'p to get it sorted it I go in early.

Also got the bottles and some blankets when Aldi had their baby and toddler event.

Brindler · 02/12/2015 22:24

I've not brought a thing! Going to get christmas out the way and then start thinking about it. My friend suggested that I should start buying packs of nappies now and then and stock up. Thought that was a good idea seeing as I'll only be on smp while I'm off which is going to be a struggle!

SunnyL · 04/12/2015 14:41

Oh thank goodness another rubbish organised parent. I'm due in March so might start to pop things into shopping trolleys over the next couple of months.

Brindler · 04/12/2015 17:53

I hope this doesn't make me sound like I have a drink problem, but I'm really missing alcohol over the festive period!! Just on my way to my work xmas do - never done a sober one before! Hopefully won't have to again! DD was an October baby so this is a whole new experience for me! At least I won't have to faff around with taxis later I suppose. Or deal with a hangover tomorrow. Every cloud!

Shirkingfromhome · 04/12/2015 23:15

Hello! Hope everyone's ok? I haven't bought a thing yet for this baby although I still have a few bits from ds1. Forgot all about bottles and nappies!

I might buy a few bits in the sales but I'm just going to use the same buggy as before and get a buggy board for ds1.

I'm missing alcohol, I'm not a massive drinker either but I'm missing a few glasses of wine when I'm out with my friends. Christmas day is going to be a bit of a killer - we're hosting! But love not having hangovers and having to wait for taxis too.

Hope you enjoyed your Xmas do Brindler

Shirkingfromhome · 04/12/2015 23:21

Sorry - missed from posts up thread! I think I'll ignore any GTT results until new year LCR although I'm pretty sure I'll be OK. We have hereditary diabetes in our family but it only affects males. Your dream sounds absolutely mad - Mr Tumble & dead twins? 😱

Hope your house move went OK too Fraggle

Fraggleyourock · 05/12/2015 10:46

Hi everyone! Move went really well, had avert thing moved in half a day, cleaned old place in the other half :) I have an amazing family!! I've not been on in ages, trying to get things unpacked as soon as I can! I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow and don't want to live out of boxes once baby arrives!
Oh god! Reading about things you've got- I have no nappies!!! Must get them today! There was me thinking my hospital bag was all packed and ready to go!
I hope you're all doing ok! Xx

hufflebottom · 06/12/2015 19:06

Whoops I feel like I'm too organised.

I have a bottle of cider waiting for Christmas Day and will probably make it survive all day. Exactly the same as last time.

SunnyL · 07/12/2015 07:50

I bought something!!

I bought some knitted booties at the church Christmas fayre. Ok not exactly on the essentials list but its a start. Wink

Fraggleyourock · 09/12/2015 20:38

I had my whooping cough jab today (finally!! Cutting it fine), my arm bloody hurts!! I don't remember it aching this much after the flu jab!
Little booties sound like an essential purchase to me Grin
Hope everyone is doing ok!

Brindler · 09/12/2015 21:54

Oh no fraggle! Don't tell me it hurts more than the flu jab - couldn't sleep on my left side for 2 nights after that one it was so sore!

hufflebottom · 09/12/2015 22:07

I think I'm getting/got flu. Very achey everywhere, very chilly and very tired. Topped off with sore throat. Or I'm just bloody exhausted from where I'm not sleeping again.

Do I ride it out till my midwife appointment tomorrow afternoon or try and get an appointment with GP first thing which is likely to either not give me an appointment at all or one the same time as midwife appointment. (Midwife is at my GP today)

Brindler · 09/12/2015 22:21

Ahh Huffle that's not good 😔 Flu is def going round a friend of mine was just wiped out with it for 2 weeks. Maybe see how you feel in the morning? Not sure there's an awful lot they'll be able to do seeing as we're not allowed the hard stuff right now. Sorry I'm not doing a very good job of making you feel any better am I!!

hufflebottom · 09/12/2015 22:32

Thing is dd is complaining of a sore throat too. Sad

It's fine Brindler the response is a comfort. I'm wondering though how much more is gonna go tits up. Is it February yet?

SunnyL · 10/12/2015 06:09

Huffle sorry you're feeling poo - I would also wait til the midwife appointment as I'm not sure there is anything they can do for flu as its a virus normally.

How are the name choices coming? We're really struggling with the girls list so I've been naughty. I told DD to start calling the baby by my favourite name as a bit of subtle warfare on her daddy Blush

hufflebottom · 10/12/2015 07:34

I think I'm gonna hold out till midwife. Dd off from school today now as she was up most of the night with sore throat and temp. Sad

We've come up with a girls name now, and it seems to have stuck. I like the subtle warfare trick Sunny you'll have to let us know if it works.

Fraggleyourock · 10/12/2015 13:34

Ah, sorry brindler... Maybe I'm just being a wimp? **
Huffle! So sorry to hear you and your dd are unwell! Are you feeling any better than you were?
No names here sunny, and we have only just over 3 weeks left (probably 5). We just can't find anything we particularly like haha!

Fraggleyourock · 10/12/2015 15:55

Don't know what went on with my bold text there Confused

hufflebottom · 10/12/2015 18:44

Technology is a funny thing.

Well midwife didn't give a monkeys. She was running late was all for doing my bp and kicking me out of the door.

Dd is better. I still feel like I've been hit by a double decker bus.

Fraggleyourock · 10/12/2015 19:48

I'm sorry your midwife was useless! I had a different one the other day, and she was useless! Supposed to be doing my birth plan, and instead she just asked me about last time and sent me on my way! Also made inappropriate jokes about my baby being huge and everyone missing it in all the scans.
Bloody in the night garden just came on my tv- we were watching Sesame Street on YouTube and it's come on after. Why can't the narrator sing iggle piggles song in time?! Really winds me up!!

Brindler · 10/12/2015 20:40

Oh no Huffle - sorry to hear you're still feeling poorly. Are you getting help with dd so you can get a proper rest?

As for names, DD is insisting on James. I do quite like it just not sure if it's the one. Although may not have much other choice the rate I'm going!

Brindler · 12/12/2015 21:00

How you feeling now Huffle? Hope everyone else is well too! I'm enjoying a rare night alone (well dd is upstairs in bed). I'm actually quite bored! Doubt I'll be saying that for much longer!

Fraggleyourock · 13/12/2015 18:32

I hope you enjoyed your night brindler! I'm having a rough day, hope you're all doing better! I'm 37 weeks today and so tired! Don't know if I'm maybe a bit hormonal! Bloody pregnancies hehe!

Shirkingfromhome · 13/12/2015 19:24

Evening ladies. I've missed loads! Sorry you're not feeling well huffle - there's some nasty bugs around at the moment.

I was on my own last night too Brindler was really looking forward to it but ending up watching x-factor getting bored and going to bed early!

Still no names here, we go away 6 wks after my due date so we need to get a decision made sharpish so we can get a passport. No pressure!

I think you're entitled to feel tired Fraggle hope you're settling into your new home.
