Interesting on the skin question- mine is horrible just a beard of spots! My good friend just had a baby girl!!! I was sooooo sure it was a boy! Maybe I'm wrong about my own baby being a boy which I was so so convinced about!

sleepy I heard that too but if I read all the old wives tails I'm having half boy half girl haha. I'm covered in spots on my face, back, I'm all blotchy black bags, my bump is high which is apparently a girl hardly any sickness means boy lying on your left means boy eating sweet stuff means girl eating salty stuff means boy.

So out of all that I'm having half boy half girl haha

That old wives' tale was true for me - not so much on skin but my pregnancy with DS was far easier on my body than that with DD. DD gave me terrible water retention, increased weight gain etc.
Alhoa that's kind of what I'm worried about - not sure I can trust DS to stay on the buggy board and not be running off all the time. Also if I had a double I could still have s buggy board for if/when DD got tired. Don't want to fork out mega £ though! Guess I will have to assess nearer the time.

I finally told work at 15+5. Hurrah!

That's a weight off my shoulders. Although I think a couple of them were getting suspicious since one said, 'I did wonder since I'd noticed you'd gained weight but only on your belly which seems odd since you're such a veggie muncher.' A compliment - kind of??

Edgar definitely a back handed compliment lol!

Tiny that's cute Smile

Sleepy we also DTD this morning. 3rd time since bfp. I don't think DH could believe his luck.

15+1 today and have had two good days on the trot - much weaker nausea and then only a little, lots of energy...went into school today and emptied two filing cabinets, got lots done etc, pushed the Hoover round when I got home. I'm sure I shall pay for it tomorrow.

So yes, I'm feeling better (at the moment), but then I've been on holiday for over two weeks so I really should be. Hats off to you ladies at work (um that's most of you) must try not to rub it in too much

Edgar that must be such a relief. I'm not looking forward to telling work, but I am looking forward to not having to hide it.

@sleepy That's really interesting- def sounds like Turners to me. I know most people don't get diagnosed till puberty (if at all). Apparently quite a few famous people have it.
@turner I am not a medical dr but am a scientific one- I know quite a bit about the genetics of it if you ever have any questions about that side of it. Really hope things start to look up for you.

MissMartin - we're scan twins!! Mine is at 10. When r u? Good Luck!!!

Was anyone else scared??? Is there definitely a baby in there?? It's the weirdest feeling!!! So nervous that there will be something wrong. Confused I'm such a bad worrier!!!

My friend said she was told by people to drink 1/2 can of red bull to get the baby moving!! That's surely wrong?! I was thinking about trying to drink a pint or so? Toast and Nutella for me for breakfast! Wee bit of sugar so I don't faint when getting the D.S blood test. Eeek! Xxx

Wynsey ahh cool Grin .. mine's at 1.30 .. i had a early scan so i know theres a baby there but im dreading a mmc which i know is totally unlikely after seeing a heartbeat at 10weeks chance mc is less than 0.6% but im also a worrier! redbull? i wouldn't personally drink that cz its packed with caffine and crap (it did used to be my favourite though) last time i just drank 1litre of water.. and the scan was pretty clear because my uterus was pushed up so much .. but i did nearly wee myself when she was scanning lol i think a pint is recommended Grin

Good luck for tomorrow, wynsey and miss!

And wynsey I was 80% convinced there'd be nothing there at my scan Grin You'll be fine, try to enjoy seeing your little bean for the first time!

wynsey just don't do what I did and drink a litre and a half of water and then nearly pee yourself in the waiting room.

Wynsey On my 20 week scan letter it says to drink a pint of water an hour before. I didn't for my first scan but it was a good job as they kept me waiting for almost an hour! Was almost weeing myself when she pressed down with the scanner!

I was so worried before the scan that there was nothing there as I've felt pretty good. Therefore burst into tears onn hearing "I can see one baby, and one heartbeat!" Grin

First I'm going to have to check with her mum now as its bugging me but so many of the symptoms match up and J is by no means 'disabled' (for want of a better phrase) she just took longer to get taller, develop boobs or have an interest in boys.. A little bone pain and now on hormone tablets.

Wynsey yes, I had my scan 2 weeks ago at 13+1 and was 90% convinced there was nothing there!

SleepyDragon · 21/07/2015 22:18

And on the drinking the water thing... I drank half a pint before the appointment and took the rest with me so I could wait and see what the timing was going to be like then drank the rest. Worked fine!

Room for a little 'un? I'm 43, due on 28th Jan with my second tot (I had a baby last year) and just really, really, really want to learn how to squeeze a baby out of my vagina without forceps and seventeen hours of agony. Thanks Smile

I didn't have to drink any particular amount before my scan, guess it's different depending on the hospital? Good thing as even with 'normal' drinking levels I managed 6 bathroom visits in the two hours we were there!

Oysterbabe · 21/07/2015 22:55

Good luck for scans tomorrow!
I was convinced there would be nothing there for mine as I've felt fine. It seemed like ages until she said "I can see a little baby in there..." then we saw it moving around and it was awesome.
I seriously think I'll freak out when I feel it move though. It's a bit.... Alien.
