Fx joy and must Smile

Have either of you noticed any changes in baby movement to go with your signs?

Fleurchamp · 05/07/2015 18:34

Hello, I've not been on here for agggges but I thought I would come on to see how all the July ladies are doing.

Good luck to everyone with twinges and fingers crossed for more healthy babies arriving soon Grin

broodylicious · 05/07/2015 19:26

small, interesting you ask that. Have you noticed changes recently? I have so interested to hear yours? Xx

LostSoulsForever · 05/07/2015 19:57

Broody, I think movements have changed. She is still wriggling away but seems to be more shifting rather than kicks and rolls. What sort of change have you noticed?

JoY007 · 05/07/2015 20:32

Thanks all, the contractions are now stronger than this morning but not quite regular about 20 minutes apart.

Baby moving but no kicks and punches just wriggling.

My tummy also changes shape with the contraction looks elongated Grin. Also it's the lower tummy area that the pain emanates from.

Called mw, she said it has to be 4 contractions 10 mins apart lasting a minute, and to call back when that pattern develops.

At the moment I am sitting on ball and downloading shows on my iPad for later. Had a snooze earlier, would probably go for a walk soon.

Clstow · 05/07/2015 20:53

Oooh good luck JoY and Must - looking forward to more babies arriving soon.

Hope everyone's enjoyed a lovely weekend - shopping sounds lovely Arete, happy anniversary.

I'm 37+1 and as far as I'm aware have had no BH... Is that weird? Should I be worried?

broodylicious · 05/07/2015 22:02

lost, same here. Phew! I think baby is really really low and so most of the movement I'm getting is bum shifting side to side. Still active enough to allay any major fears but I was thinking I don't remember this with dd.

broodylicious · 05/07/2015 22:05

clstow I'm 37+6 and only today I got absolutely unmistakeable BH. Very strong tightenings, about three or four in an hour this afternoon but there hasn't really been anything to write home about before now x

MustBeLoopy390 · 05/07/2015 22:45

Back home, no internal done due to the bleeding, but I am measuring a whopping 45cms fundal height today, that's gone up by 1cm in 2 days :/

broodylicious · 06/07/2015 05:46

must, I can't believe you're being messed about so much! How long has this been going on for?! Crazy stuff. I'd have thought if baby is measuring big and your BP is high etc, they'd be looking to get you induced by now. You're being so patient with them!

Charliej86 · 06/07/2015 05:50

Clstow I never felt a single bh with dc1&2 but have with this one so I wouldn't worry.

This week I have decided to forget baby countdown and countdown to my bday on Sunday instead. I'm struggling with all the 'are you still here' 'how long now' 'eee you can't get any bigger' and 'it won't be long' to name a few.

Fingers crossed for all those showing some action

broodylicious · 06/07/2015 07:47

Haha charliej, we said the same on fb this weekend! I haven't told many ppl my edd IRL because it drove me totally insane last time. Know they're excited but arrrrrgggh!!

Fingers crossed Joy and must! Flowers

MustBeLoopy390 · 06/07/2015 08:31

Third time this has all happened Broody! Keep being told that my bp is normal 'for me' as it did this in last 2 pregnancies and in our hospital trust apparently measuring so far ahead is no issue, as 'big babies happen' :/ my notes haven't been completed properly as per and also my mil who attends MAU etc with me is keeping tabs on everything so we can put in a very very large complaint spanning all four pregnancies. Getting annoyed but there is no other place to go and definitely would never plan a home birth again after the first attempt because the midwife who described herself 'queen of homebirths' was just the cherry on the top when she refused to listen to me at all.

Naturegirl82 · 06/07/2015 08:31

39 weeks here today. Had a dream I had the baby last night but the circumstances were so wierd I'm glad it wasn't real! Shock

Hope everyone is getting on ok. I've been having very strong BH and cramping but nothing come of it yet.

SueV14 · 06/07/2015 08:49

Thank you for all the reassurance ladies. I know they don't breathe and everything but then thinking what about the blood and oxygen supply to the brain of the bay if the cord is tight? I can't believe how worried I'm getting at the very end while I've been completely relaxed throughout the entire pregnancy! :) I'd rather have my baby later than sooner (at least after full 39 weeks) cause I imagine the longer they can grow and develop in the womb the better.. And my personal motive is also that I want a leo baby rather than cancer Blush. But at the end of the day all I really want is for her to be fine and healthy and will go wu whatever is best for her!

smallgreenbanana · 06/07/2015 08:49

broody LO is still moving around quite a lot - shifting her lumpy bum front and side, up and down - also still kicking with big fat feet. She seems very strong now! I'm trying not to worry that she does not know where the exit is!! I was just wondering if people carry on feeling movement once they've started up in early labour or not, or if it feels somehow different.

More pre-labour signs here on top of everything/back aching - woke up feeling quite nauseous and had to have a soft loo visit (sorry tmi), bit hot and cold maybe. Starting to think maybe LO will turn up on due date after all, but trying not to get hopes up! purple look forward to hearing about your LO arriving on Wednesday! Smile

Got my parents coming over to keep me company and distract me from all the discomforts while DH goes to work with clear instructions to get things done he's been putting off! Wink

Hope you had some progress overnight joy Look forward to your news! Smile must still thinking of you! fx

I have discovered an excellent way to talk to all the strangers who want to discuss my due date etc. etc. Instead of telling them due date, say (with wide open eyes) "could be any time now", which causes a wonderful look of panic as if I might drop in front of them right NOW. Wink Grin Is that a bit naughty of me?

smallgreenbanana · 06/07/2015 08:53

sue sometimes the cord can get compressed if it is wrapped around the baby as it descends but as I understand it, the midwife keeps an eye on the baby's heart rate to pre-empt any issues like this, and will get you to move into a different position, which can relieve the pressure (I'm sure mojo can say if this is right). Lots and lots of babies are born with cord wrapped around neck or body and the midwives just unwrap it quickly and no problem at all, so please don't worry! Flowers

MustBeLoopy390 · 06/07/2015 08:53

Small I love the 'any time now' and may have to use that one too!

SueV14 · 06/07/2015 09:03

And I have a question to you guys again.

Did you get a baby monitor or have you used one for your first child? There are so many out there and the product section here on MN is relatively quiet (I read through threads but wasn't very helpful). I want to get a rather sophisticated one which has following features included:

-2 way talkback
-sound and video monitoring
-soothing nightlight
-lullabies
-out of range and low battery alert
-preferably mains & battery operated
-a wifi function allowing me to log into the camera from smartphone and look at the baby when out/away

I know it won't be cheap. The ones which are closest to meet the criteria are Motorola MBP853 Video Monitor and BT Video Baby Monitor 7500 Lightshow. However Motorola is battery only and has no nightlight whilst BT has no wifi function. Also, we live in an old victorian house and bay will be on the mid floor and I need to be sure it has good connectivity throughout the house and in the backyard.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I've spent so much time researching this I'm dreaming of the stupid monitors at night :(

BadIdeaBear · 06/07/2015 09:03

I've been using the 'any time now' one and it's a treat, isn't it?!
