Tired we will have the NT test but won't be paying for harmony unless it comes back high risk.

MayFlowers16 · 10/07/2015 21:33

twins I've had my booking in appointment but no scan news. I'm almost eleven weeks now and have been told today that I should expect a scan appointment letter to arrive within the next two weeks Angry

twinsandapenguin · 10/07/2015 21:56

I haven't even heard about my booking in. I tried to ring the hospital to check but no response :(

MayFlowers16 · 10/07/2015 22:37

That's pretty rubbish twins. Can you try calling your community midwife instead? Last time I had a date for my scan within days of registering the pregnancy. A lot seems to have changed in three years. Sad

To all the ladies that have been told horrible things by the supposed professionals, just remember that all though they do this all day, they often like being on a power trip and lording it over people! It probably gives them a sick kick seeing a worried look on your face! Once a heart beat has been seen (unless you have a medical condition) the MC rate is 2%!!! While the early rate (implantation-6weeks) varies between 25-50% depending what you read, it most definitely is not 75%! I find that men especially like to belittle women! I have serious issues with men that don't see women as equals and think that we are some lesser species and of lower intelligence then them. It makes me really mad and not just because of pregnancy rage!!! Had it today when my male estate agent tried to bully me into taking a crap offer because he wants his commission! I could hear the venom in his voice just how much he hates me for not selling my house at the offer and putting myself £20k in debt!

Pixie1985 · 11/07/2015 07:37

Twins I'm in the same boat, 10+2 and still no booking appointment?! I've had a scan letter for 12 weeks, seems the wrong way round?! Hmm

LillianMakesAMinion · 11/07/2015 08:31

twins I'm at 9 weeks and booking in appointment is next week. I self registered 3 weeks ago.

No scan appointment yet but I'm considering paying for a private scan if I can't get my NHS one before I leave for my holiday in a couple of weeks

Brummiegirl15 · 11/07/2015 09:28

I've only just got my booking in appt and I had to chase that up!

Have got it for next Thursday when I'll be 11+1

Will only have harmony test done if NT test is high risk

I agree, once the hb is seen, whilst mc does happen (that would be me then Confused ) the risk is only about 2%

jellypi3 · 11/07/2015 09:29

Blimey I got my booking appointment ages ago!

monkerina · 11/07/2015 09:45

Crikey, I was irritated about my booking in appointment but it's nothing compared to some of you! The first availability for mine was 3 weeks after I phoned, when I'll be 9+3 (from my dates and average of scans) or about 11+1 (based on LMP, which they're still using). We'll only get a Harmony test if NT shows increased risk.

Sleep is terrible here too. Exhausted, finally fall asleep around 11, wake at 12, wake at 3 for an hour, wake at 6, can't get back to sleep. Last night I dreamed I was on a sort of safari version of the Jurassic World island, which was at least entertaining!

primarynoodle · 11/07/2015 10:50

ahhhh no now this one wont be filled up!!!

serious ocd issues

LillianMakesAMinion · 11/07/2015 11:19

primary since we'd be saying goodbye to the chundering thread... I might fill with chunder related posts...

Did you know - horses or rabbits can't vomit?

primarynoodle · 11/07/2015 12:04

unfortunately i do know that rabbits cant - after my greedy bunny broke into the gerbil food and nearly died because he couldnt digest it!! Confused lucky hes fine!

i never knew about horses though!

NoMontagues · 11/07/2015 12:16

Ohh bless him primary he must have felt so uncomfortable. I'm imagining a big-bellied bunny just lying there unable to move!

Does your rabbit hop around the house or live in the garden?

I've seen threads on here with people talking about their house bunnies and they are so freaking cute.

primarynoodle · 11/07/2015 14:49

i have 2 and they are house bunnies... they have free range of the flat but we have a little area set up with their toys and hay... rabbits are fab pets and so easy to look after and yes they are SO CUTE!!

but absolute little devils if you try to pick them up Hmm

LillianMakesAMinion · 11/07/2015 20:16

I've never had a rabbit but I used to have a guinea pig as a kid!

Some stats:
85% of women have two episodes of nausea per day and 55% have three or more episodes per day.

NoMontagues · 11/07/2015 23:37

What constitutes an episode I wonder. Like is a wave of nausea an episode or do you need to actually start heaving?

I'd say I have waves of nausea maybe 5 or 6 times a day but I've only run to the bathroom once or twice altogether.
