Nectarines if all goes well, I am also going to insist request an elective section as I had my DS2 by emsc under GA. I had been hypnobirthing up to the point that things went down hill so was in a good headspace which I think helped me to avoid the trauma that effects a lot of women who end up not seeing their baby born, but I don't want to go through that again. It's a long way down the road though so I am not going to worry about that just yet.

I really really feel for all of you who feel so unwell. I was so ill during my first pregnancy that I had to carry a large tuppaware (with a lid) round with me as I threw up any time any place any where. It was so awful. Luckily I sailed through my last pregnancy with just very slight queasiness in the afternoon. So far this time i seem to have escaped it again but I really do sympathise with all those who are suffering Flowers

Seraphine Bump Kit

I couldn't afford Seraphine when I was pregnant last time but looking at these pieces (times four!) I honestly don't think you could get them anywhere else for &85 - certainly not at this quality. Primark maternity is the shittest quality I have ever seen in my entire life, and believe me, you will regret spending your pregnancy wearing tat. Obviously a maternity vest is a maternity vest, but when it comes to dresses for work and quality leggings, you'll not beat these

Betty5714 · 25/06/2015 21:45

Sorry blue and newbie i got muddled moving threads, my last post was a reply to newbie. Doh!

haquoi123 · 25/06/2015 21:47

Thanks purdie! Did you say this was on offer? If it's not then I think I'll wait until I get to 20 weeks, but definitely a good deal! I've heard good things about seraphine

mumof3shockedtobecarrying4th · 25/06/2015 21:51

Thank you WouldRatherHaveCake. It's going to take a long time to sink in I think.

MayFlowers16 the name sums me up ;)

QuackQuackers · 25/06/2015 21:57

would I'm at the back of bus with you.

I feeling so ill though. I didn't feel anywhere near this bad last time but I think that was because I used to offset it with shovelling stodge in my mouth at every opportunity. I'm really trying not to do that this time but if I continue feeling like this I might surrender.

Bluenewbie · 25/06/2015 22:09

It's ok Betty and bird ;)

My MW didn't even get tot hte end of the medical questions list. I only remebered myself to mention that I actually carry a herpes virus and it could affect my baby at the labour. What's also a tad annoying, both GP and MW start the questions in the way that assumes everything is ok;
You eat well.period.
No I don't know if my vegan diet is sufficient to sustain a baby.
You had no episods of depression. Period.

Glad you ask, I was actually 2 days bottom low recently and I went through the therapy in my past.
and no, she didnt ask if my partner is abusing me. She assumed so, since I only mentioned that he's home very little..
and any highlighted problens-speak to Gp, speak to EPU, call nurse etc. Beside that she was lovely..

Ratty I'm also not sick. Not anything. I don't even feel pregnant since all the symptoms are gone. All. I have spotting for a month now. I might not even carry any bean any more. And I will only find out in a month.

jellypi3 · 25/06/2015 22:16

WouldRatherHaveCake · 25/06/2015 22:51

quack oh good, we can be grumpy together when everyone else has their babies!

Speaking of grumpy - who the freaking hell is setting off fireworks near my house?! Do they not know I'm a sleep deprived mother of a poorly 1 year old and already have the pregnancy symptom "The Rage"?! Arseholes.

firsttimenewbie · 25/06/2015 22:57

Thanks for all the advice ladies. Think I will let him come along but warn him it'll be boring. Can always ask him to leave the room if mw wants to talk to me alone.

purdie wow that really is an amazing deal. Very tempted.

mumof3shockedtobecarrying4th · 25/06/2015 23:11

WouldRatherHaveCake and Quack I'm only 5 weeks, due on the 24th Feb.

WouldRatherHaveCake · 25/06/2015 23:12

I'm due 28th/29th!

LilMakesAMinion · 25/06/2015 23:15

Memphis I will be all over that peanut butter and caramel shortbread! I'm lucky enough not to have morning sickness (yet) but I do feel almost constantly hungry, I want pasta ALL THE TIME and the bust starting to get out of control.

I did my self referral with the maternity hospital today and they said I will be contacted by my local midwife centre for my first appointment in a week or so. Apparently they will aim to book my scan for week 10 or 11... only 3 - 4 weeks away!

firsttimenewbie · 25/06/2015 23:17

Oh dear purdie what have you done to me! I have had a look at the rest of their stuff, it's all so gorgeous!!

Bosabosa · 25/06/2015 23:59

Omg how lovely is seraphine?! Thanks Purdie!

I haven't been sick yet but I get strong waves of nausea so thinking it'll happen at some point. Fab!

Night all and fingers crossed to all those in the waiting game

goldmaple · 26/06/2015 01:06

The seraphina stuff looks great!! Not buying anything until later though... Unless I have no willpower Hmm. Partly don't want to jinx anything (I know it makes no real difference!!) and partly I'm in denial of my bloat bump. (This is DC3 and I always look 15 weeks preggo)

blue would you think it's worth it to get a private scan earlier? A month is a long time to wait if you are worried.

cake I didn't know rage was a pregnancy symptom!! I feel like I might need to join a fight club... In between tears...poor DH

QuackQuackers · 26/06/2015 04:45

mum I'm due on 24th too!

last time my booking in was odd. I went alone but had extracted all of dh's family history so that I could answer any questions they had on behalf of both of us. But me only wanted to know about my history. When I offered his too she just said "i won't write that down as we only have your word for it that he's the father" Shock Shock Shock Shock

QuackQuackers · 26/06/2015 04:46

Oh and not that it should make any difference, but we're married, live at the same address and its a fairly nice area. So I've no idea why that was her stock response!

Zookeeper73 · 26/06/2015 04:50

I'm at the back of the bus too! Mumof3 and Quack, I'm a day ahead of you on the 23rd!

My OH is coming to my appt tomorrow, he wanted to. I want him to so that I don't get home and he asks me a heap of questions I don't know the answer to! Haha

Zookeeper73 · 26/06/2015 04:51

What a bizarre thing to say to you!!

AbFab86 · 26/06/2015 05:13

I'm not liking the sound of some of these booking in appointments! Don't midwives know that openly insulting women with The Rage is dangerous? Luckily we don't have booking in appointments over here. You just pick your doctor and go see them. Luckily I have an extremely calm one. The only thing I've requested from DH at any birth is that he hits people who either shout or repeat themselves. I don't know if it's a representation of a normal delivery but to have some woman in my face going 'keep it going keep it going keep it going keep it going' is not going to be conducive to a low to moderate amount of violence.

Still no real nausea for me. My only symptoms are extreme tiredness, being unaware of hypos (woke up this morning with a BM of 2 and felt fine. Oops) and crying when I listen to the Les Mis soundtrack in the car.

Brummiegirl15 · 26/06/2015 06:39

I'd love my DP to come with me to mw appt's but cos I was always told they didn't like it then assumed he couldn't. But he'd never be able to get time off work - it's hard enough for the scans

Love the bump kit Purdie I'm nervous of buying anything before 12 weeks though, although I think they have decent returns policy but don't want to have to

Babybrain153 · 26/06/2015 07:00

Woke up this morning with cramps and nausea has turned into being sick ????
