I woke up in the early hours with excruciating pain in my right hip, I've had problems since I was a teenager and have hypermobile joints but haven't had pain like this in years! I thought I wouldn't get probs until I was much further along!

Limping round the house with horrendous nausea, trying to clean it for another viewing today. So sick of viewings, these people are coming for a 4th time!!! I think they are complete time wasters, I actually swore at the estate agent when they called yest to say they wanted to come again.

NoMontagues · 09/07/2015 10:20

mawsy yes that's the place and it was €450 not €350 sorry!

I can only blame my pregnancy brain as I looked back at the email and it says €450. I must have got carried away somewhere along the line. Still much cheaper than Merrion though.

Anyway, had the scan and all is well! Smile They put me at 11+1 so two days ahead.

The sonographer measured the Nuchal fold to give an indication for the time being, and said low risk. Then I'll have the blood results in a couple of weeks.

I couldn't believe it when I saw the little bean jumping around! I've been in some sort of suspended animation for about the past 6 weeks so now I feel I can wake up and get on with things!

No idea how to post scan pic tho Confused

Mawsymoo · 09/07/2015 10:29

Oh congrats NoMontagues that's brilliant news! We must be due around the same time.

I had seen the price of €450 on their website but thought they might have an offer on. I'll have to have a think about it - DH is a bit against it so I don't know...

We have our first appointment on Monday anyway so fingers and everything else crossed we see a healthy little baby in there.

NoMontagues · 09/07/2015 10:32

Oh thanks mawsy I'm thrilled Smile

DD is in Irish college so I'm going to hold off on telling everyone for another week or two.

I'll have my fx for you on Monday Smile

elephantfeet · 09/07/2015 12:42

2 hours til my scan and booking in appointment, I am actually feeling nervous!

jellypi3 · 09/07/2015 13:35

monkerina · 09/07/2015 13:56

Not as exciting as Montagues' will be cause I'm only 7+3 or so and it's a blob so far... but voila scan pic from yesterday! Congrats Montagues Smile

Elephant, fx for you, it'll be fine!

Purdie and Stocking, hope things are going well.

ATrueNerd · 09/07/2015 14:12

Here's the pic Smile Not much to see, apparently my bladder was full (I had only been to the loo 5 mins earlier!) which made it harder to see but she got the measurements ok x

Littleoakhorn · 09/07/2015 16:01

Oh wow, lots of lovely scan news and pictures. Congratulations Smile

cremedecacao · 09/07/2015 16:33

ATrueNerd- amazing picture. You must feel so relieved :) It was internal I guess?

Mine is on Saturday, also at 7+1. I am super anxious.

NoMontagues · 09/07/2015 17:01

Oh congrats nerd ! Smile

Hearing the heartbeat is so reassuring isn't it?

ATrueNerd · 09/07/2015 17:11

Yes creme, it was dildo cam! Blush doesn't hurt at all though. Such a relief, and the scan lady was lovely and said straight away "one pregnancy with a heart beat" the lady at my 5 weeks one was just silent for ages which freaked me out! I've booked a private one for 9 weeks. Will be thinking of you on Saturday xx

cremedecacao · 09/07/2015 18:10

Thanks :) I had several dildo cam experiences with my mmc in December. I do find them quite uncomfortable! I think it's because I have a tilted uterus and they always have to, er, root around a bit!

Hi all, i think I'm about a week behind..
So I'll say a blanket congratulations for all the scans and welcome to any new people.

I told headteacher today. Relieved to have it over with as i suspected he wouldnt be impressed.

I have a home doppler from ds1 and i manged to find baby's heartbeat last night. So amazing to hear it. Got midwife in 12 days and scan in 2 weeks - end of the 8 week wait is finally in sight! Plus only one more week of term, wooohooo!

Anyone got any bright ideas for fixing the bloat ? Im blown up like a balloon by 3pm every day and its quite uncomfortable tbh.

Ohjellybelly · 09/07/2015 19:26

Oh wow - some lovely scan pictures there.
I've been lurking for the last week or so. I still think I'm pregnant so all is good. I passed the 'old blood' area that was next to the yolk sac a few days ago but have had brown spotting since. I'm hoping it's just the remainder of my first bleed coming out slowly, but who knows.

I'm still feeling mega sick and hugely exhausted so they're good signs. My face and neck have also broken out in spots the last three days. I'm assuming that this is more lovely hormones working their magic.
I look gorgeous at the moment - kinda like a rung out old dishcloth with facial eruptions!!!

Good news is that I have my booking apointment, at home, on the 21st. I get to see the midwife that I dealt with 9/10 years ago, which will be nice.
I've no date yet for the 12 week scan. I'm assuming that the appointment will arrive by post. There's still plenty of time though, I'm currently 7+4.

I'm treating myself to a Chinese tonight. I fancy going all out and nasty and filling up on stuff that's really no good for me. Sesame prawn toast, seaweed, spring rolls, crispy chilli beef. Mmmmm
I can taste the badness already!

RattyCatty · 09/07/2015 19:43

So lovely to see scan pics!

Ok I'm freaking out slightly here... Am going out to a school party thing & was doing my hair and found something that either looks like a dodgy mole or some sort of inflamed circle in my scalp a few cm from my hairline? Has anyone had anything like this? I know moles change in pregnancy but I've never noticed anything like this...

RattyCatty · 09/07/2015 19:49

Ps mayo I think it just depends on where you are but if you are worried chase up?

mars I've read that drinking lots helps the bloat but then you'll be on the loo constantly!

clumsypots · 09/07/2015 20:33

What lovely scan pictures!

I have just had a letter from the hospital asking me to go for a booking in appointment at the hospital but I saw the community midwife last week for what I thought was my booking in appointment. Has anyone else had two?

ATrueNerd · 09/07/2015 20:34

I use this recipe for bloating sometimes, seems to work.. Not sure if the spices are suitable for pregnancy but I've been using it, figured I use a lot more in cooking anyway, I make a lot of curries!

birdbrain21 · 09/07/2015 21:27
