Thanks ab Smile

Aw congrats elephant !

I'm waking up through the night either to re-settle DS or just no reason. I seem to sleep really lightly from about 3am to 5.30am but then I go into a very deep sleep accompanied by the bizarro dreams, and struggle to wake up at 7.

So, so glad today is Friday Grin

Boobear we are about the same, I am10+4 now. I cried in a conference at work a couple of weeks ago which was embarrassing and have turned to stone since, my boss has said I have all the emotion of a flat pancake now!! Lovely!

jellypi3 · 10/07/2015 13:52

by the way we need a new thread soon :)

Tiredoftiredness · 10/07/2015 14:16

Hi all some lovely pics above!

Just had my booking appt, took an hour! She managed to book my 12 week scan while I was there though so it's booked for 3 weeks today when I'll be 12+4 ish - not too long to wait!

Also sleeping terribly like others and had a headache for the last 2 days which I'm blaming on the lack of sleep. Had to give in and have a paracetamol yest which I've been trying not to do.

Have a good weekend all!

clarabellski · 10/07/2015 14:17

Can whoever sets up the new thread not use the word 'chundering' please?!?!?! Grin

Boobear1983 · 10/07/2015 14:25

The crying was so not me, i remember sobbing the words "don't be nice to me, you'll make me cry more" and "i swear I'm not crazy". Slightly hormonal me thinks Hmm

primarynoodle · 10/07/2015 14:52

when its time for the new thread can we please link the stats sheet in the op...

which rules out me as the new starter as im crap with technical things on mn!

Raaaaaah · 10/07/2015 15:41

Really interupted sleep here too.

I was up at 1:30 last night so went and watched the Tour highlights and who knows what else. I am completely wiped out and nauseous. Need bed NOW! I am of the nil emotion camp, just cannot be arsed with the drama Smile.

In other news I had my scan. Dated at 8+6 which is all good. The blob showed me it's heart beat and did a little wiggle which was cute. The sonographer was a pretty pragmatic chap and said my miscarriage rate remained at 10-15% until 10 weeks when it goes down to 1-2%! Then he said so "fingers crossed". I got my down below in nice shape this morning just in case I had to have a vaginal scan but I ended up cutting myself-cue blood bath Blush! Thank goodness it was abdominal! I booked for Harmony bloods and scan too.

primarynoodle · 10/07/2015 16:19

i dont know about these private sonographers...

when i had my scan at 8w, the sonographer said 75% of women miscarry - i have not found a single bit of info that supports that claim, infact i spent the first 3 weeks studying everything i could find relating to miscarriage stats and its almost the opposite!!

it really annoys me that they charge so much money for something that is meant to reassure you and then make really unreassuring comments!!

well done on your scan though raaah :)

Raaaaaah · 10/07/2015 16:35

I know, it was quite amusing. He was also pretty damning about my age related risk at 37yrs. It's a reputable place but a bit posh for the likes of me. Good magazine and coffee selection though so maybe I'll forgive the dodgy stats.

rallytog1 · 10/07/2015 16:36

What nonsense noodle! Like you say, it's more like 75% of people DON'T miscarry. Maybe he was saying that to 'encourage' you to book another scan Hmm

Spanoo · 10/07/2015 17:00

Wow amazing scan pictures ladies! Very exciting.

It must be "shit partner week" or something because I'm now having massive issues with DP.

CalypsoLilt · 10/07/2015 17:52

Definitely "shit partner weekend", mine isn't even talking to me Confused

Nectarines · 10/07/2015 17:57

I just had a call from GP and my booking in appointment sample showed up a uti. I have to pick up antibiotics tomorrow.

I did have symptoms but put these down to just pregnancy.

My rational mind knows it's ok and common and will be fine after medication but my hysterical early preg self is worrying a bit especially as the sample was taken a week ago. How much can it worsen in a week? I have type1 diabetes and find that can make my kidneys a bit iffy.

eeeerrkkkk

StockingFullOfCoal · 10/07/2015 17:59

Oh ladies Flowers

My ex (DDs Dad) took pity on me and drove me to the chippy and back when he picked up our DDs.

I'm now watching S2 of Luther, Idris should distract me.

Its eldest DDs birthday today and its the first time I've ever been away from her at the time she was born (19:34) so I'm really Sad but aware I am being PFB.

OP posts:
NoMontagues · 10/07/2015 18:10

Oh yes. A bit of Idris never goes amiss.

I hear you stocking it was my eldest's birthday this day last week and she's on a three week trip away, it was tough!

IslaMann · 10/07/2015 18:11

Got my appointment through for dating scan and downs test. It's on Aug 3rd when I'll be 13+4, so a little late but am on holiday from 12+2-13+2 so it fits in ok.

clumsypots · 10/07/2015 19:57

Thanks primary I called the hospital today and they told me it is because I will have to be under consultant care so I need to go and see them too. No home birth for me this time Sad

Flowers for all those suffering a shitty DP week I am joining you on this too

Stepawayfromthezebras · 10/07/2015 20:02

I have driven my DP to the pub to get him out the house and from under my feet. He provided helpful suggestions on how my driving could be improved all the way there. Angry

Why would you do this to a tired hormonal pregnant woman? WHY??

Raaaaaah · 10/07/2015 20:24

Ah Stocking not PFB at all. Have a lovely evening. I could just devour a chip butty. I have been dreaming of them for days.

DP is out tonight. TV to myself and nobody to suck their teeth when I watching Celeb Masterchef or some other crap.

twinsandapenguin · 10/07/2015 20:32

Has anyone else not had their scan and booking in letter yet? I am 10 weeks today and I am starting to wonder where it is

Phoenix80 · 10/07/2015 20:42

More great scan news Smile

Really crap sleep here too Sad. My DH works a twilight shift (mon-wed 6.30pm-3am, thurs 6.30pm-1am and fri 5pm-10pm) so when he comes home at 3am or 1am I wake up and struggle to get back to sleep. Or I'm shattered all day long then can't sleep when I go to bed.

My youngest ds' birthday today too, he's 6. We spent the morning in A&E with a suspected broken finger, karate injury, but all is ok and it's not broken Smile. He's having a party on Sunday morning so that should be fun with 15 screaming 5/6 year olds at soft play.........NOT Grin

People were talking about the kind of births they wanted yesterday (I think Blush) Due to 2 previous c sections (1 ends and 1 elms) I'll be having an elective c section again this time.

Going to try sleep now, goodnight everyone. Sending sleepy thoughts x

Tiredoftiredness · 10/07/2015 20:59

Forgot to say, is wife mentioned downs screening at my booking appt earlier, I don't think I'm going to have it done this time as it's not definitive, I don't think it would change my mind about having baby, and last time I got all stressy waiting for results!

I know lots are having harmony tests etc, but wondered if anyone is joining me in the no test camp?

HarimadSol · 10/07/2015 21:17

We didn't have tests with DD, and I'm sure we'll do the same again. The results wouldn't change much for us, just possibly add stress.

Mumof1sofar · 10/07/2015 21:31

Twins I haven't either. Got my booking in on 22nd but the midwife rang me to confirm. Have you not even been given a date for booking in?
