im gonna see which one gives me the 12w scan earlier and cancel the other one as im relocating anyway!

LillianMakesAMinion · 09/07/2015 21:51

Oh congrats on the lovely scans!!! I can't wait for mine now. Booking in appointment next week at 10 week mark but still no scan appointment.

rattycatty I had what I thought was an odd lump on my hairline behind my ear. I thought it was a swollen lymph node but got DH to take a look and it was a big pimple! I'd never had one there before let alone that big - it's gone now!

LillianMakesAMinion · 09/07/2015 21:54

elephantfeet I hope all was well with your scan today Star

haquoi123 · 09/07/2015 23:16

So lovely to see all the scan picks!
ratty I'd get it checked out, is allays better to know for sure.

The worst kind of vomiting is when you're not bringing anything up. I definitely need to eat more...

Hello! Sorry I have been stuck on motorways for most of tonight and have finally sat down. Scan was great, am measuring 10w3d which makes me due on feb 1st! It's such a relief to actually know this as I have been guessing and at the last scan they just told me it was too small to guess how many weeks it was. Had my booking in appt as well and my 12 week scan is hopefully going to be a week on Monday! I got pictures this time but they are quite blurry and I'm on the app so not sure how to add them. Heartbeat was flickering away and I got to hear it as well. I might even let myself get excited now!

Littleoakhorn · 10/07/2015 05:29

Congrats elephant, lovely news. Jelly that all sounds really positive too.

IslaMann · 10/07/2015 06:05

Anyone else having trouble sleeping? I'm averaging about 4 hrs at night and 2 hrs in the afternoon. I'm sick of seeing both midnight and 5am.

Same here Isla. Up at 5, having had loopy, vivid pregnancy dreams.

cremedecacao · 10/07/2015 07:21

Yup- It's almost like I'm too tired to sleep? waking at 5.30 on the dot and also having crazy dreams.

QuackQuackers · 10/07/2015 07:35

yep. 5am is unfortunately normal wake up in this house. But since pregnant I'm typically awake between 1.30-3.30am Sad

rallytog1 · 10/07/2015 07:53

We're scan day buddies elephant!

Isla I'm the same - have been sleeping really badly for weeks. It's so frustrating isn't it? I've found the only thing that helps is getting up and going downstairs for some milk and toast, no matter what time it is. I read a book for a bit too. That seems to help me settle again when I go back to bed after half an hour or so.

rallytog1 · 10/07/2015 07:55

Sam my pharmacist said it was ok to have an occasional piriton when hayfever gets bad - maybe worth you going to the chemist and seeing if they'll give you anything?

elephantfeet · 10/07/2015 07:59

Yay rally!
I am also waking up at 5am every day which is especially annoying as I am on holiday from work at the minute so wanted to be as lazy as possible...I think it is my body telling me to get up and unpack boxes and start decorating as I have put all that off!

CatnipMouse · 10/07/2015 08:11

Sam, I tried to manage hay fever for a while without taking anything for it. I was so very miserable! In the end I got a pirinase spray, one squirt up each nostril each day does the job. This site is good:

Brummiegirl15 · 10/07/2015 09:27

My scan day is Monday 20th as well!!!

Sam I begged the pharmacist for something for hayfever but it was a no Angry

I'm struggling to sleep as well. I crash out when I get home, I am exhausted when I get to bed but I just can't sleep

clarabellski · 10/07/2015 09:42

Morning everyone. It's lovely to see all of the positive scan news.

For hayfever, I've been using haymax (a barrier cream kind of like vaseline that you rub on your nose to catch pollen before it gets 'up there'). I snort water to clear out my tubes (this is pretty disgusting and you feel like you're drowning yourself a little bit, but it does work). I also put wet cotton wool pads on my eyes to sooth the itching.

I'm actually enjoying not taking piriton as I've always found that it makes me drowsy, and I feel tired enough with the pregnancy hormones.

I've had a few days now where the level nausea has reduced (current level = 2 glasses of wine hangover). This happened early last week only to be met with a killer resurgence at the weekend, so I'm taking each non-nauseous day as it comes as a lovely gift from the universe.

I have noticed that I have a definite bump today, I'm sure this is too early (8+3)... Maybe it's just the dreaded bloat!

Isla my sleep pattern at the moment seems to be: Fall asleep straight away whenever even remotely horizontal (eg: during lunch-break at work while putting feet up) Sleep from about 11pm to about 3am straight through. Wake up like a woman in a toothpaste commercial at 3am really thirsty, have a drink and a wee. Manage to get back to sleep at about 4am after much fidgeting. Wake up from a really bonkers dream at 7am feeling like the creature from the black lagoon, so out of it that I can't even work out where the weird noise is coming from (it's my alarm).

primarynoodle · 10/07/2015 10:44

ive slept terribly for a few weeks - getting up at 4.15 on the dot DESPERATE for a wee and then waking up at 7 and maybe having an hour nap before work in the afternoon.

until today when i woke up at 10.30! in hoping this is the norm now (but hoghly doubt it)

congrats elephant thats great news Grin

Brummiegirl15 · 10/07/2015 11:04

I've had to come home from work as feel horrendous.

I've got work to do but I just want to curl up and sleep Envy

AbFab86 · 10/07/2015 11:17

Fantastic scan pictures! Montagues that's such a cute one Smile

My nausea is getting worse Confused We're back for the summer and visiting friends and family etc and all I want to do is curl up in a ball feeling sorry for myself. Some days are worse than others but I've found 'Gin Gin' chews from Holland and Barratt are helping a lot. Can't believe some of us are almost done with the first trimester!

raviolig · 10/07/2015 11:23

Sorry I have been absent for a while, reading here and there but I have just felt so tired and so nauseous it is hard to do much. Had my proper booking in appt yesterday so she is checking if I am anaemic as she thinks I sound too tired. I have been squeezed in for a scan at 8am on Tuesday. It will be nice to see what is going on.
My hay fever is awful ATM too but I am on fexofenadine which is prescribed. I have severe allergies so although it is strong I need something I can take in case of a reaction.
I am not sleeping well at all either. 3 year old that still wakes up several times a night does not help though!!
Hope everyone is ok today xxx

elephantfeet · 10/07/2015 11:56

I think this should work! It's not as clear as some of the others.

Boobear1983 · 10/07/2015 12:50

Wonderful pics everyone.

I cried on my supervisor this morning....i never cry, especially not at work! (Male dominated workplace) i took half a days annual leave and came home. I wake up at 4 am.on the dot everyday. If i get 4 hours sleep it's a good night, I'm just shattered. I have to be up at 5am tomorrow so at least I'll be on time for work! I'm hoping this is going to settle down soon.....I'm 10+3
