primary I'm annoyed because I had just bought a new bra a week or two before I got my bfp, and I've already changed cup size so now it doesn't fit! I have enormous norks as well (32GG) so my bras are like £30 a throw...I guess I'll just have to keep my bras and hope that I go back to my old size at some point! Hmm

SmashleyHop · 26/06/2015 12:22

Hurray for new thread! Although I agree- the word chundering makes me queasy and I'm not sure why?

My MW appt went fine. No scan though. Have my first on Aug 5th so really looking forward to that. MW confirmed we are having a Valentines baby, although if this pregnancy goes like my last 3 I'll have this baby at 39 weeks.

Today the nausea has been so bad all I've done today is lay on the couch sipping water and watching episode after episode of Judge Judy. I am most definitely ignoring the growing pile of clean laundry on the couch next to me. That will put itself away if I ignore it long enough (this is the logic my DH uses at least!)

clarabellski · 26/06/2015 12:28

I caved in and told my mum about pregnancy on Wednesday but it is the best thing I could have done. I am now on STRICT orders to ignore all laundry and ironing. She will come over and do it for me during the week. Knowing her she will dust and generally tidy as well which is AWESOME as I'm a bit of a neat freak and seeing the house gradually head towards midden status was upsetting me (it would need to get pretty grotty for DH to notice/care or, god forbid, do anything about it).

Feeling a mix of guilt, cheekiness and relief. Mums are the best (kind of scary that I will hopefully be one for the first time at the end of this!).

Can't wait to get home tonight and sleeeeeeeeeep. Keeping up the pretence of normal at work adds to the exhaustion.

Flowers to everyone

MayFlowers16 · 26/06/2015 12:39

Aw, Clara your mum sounds lovely. I miss mine so much.

clarabellski · 26/06/2015 12:47

Mayflowers, there's no 'hug' smiley but hugs to you x

Big hugs May Thanks

I'm off to a wedding. Would much rather stay at home with DH and baby Nancy. It will be my first ever wedding sober. It is such a relief knowing I will not be shagging the groom, battering someone's SIL and ending up in the cells, as was the usual pattern of events Hmm

raviolig · 26/06/2015 13:26

Bigfoxlittlefox we moved to the Middle East. Just a year there. I was on sabbatical but got made redundant when I got back so first pregnancy not working. Plenty of jobs for English people where we were though not sure the salaries always match. I grew up abroad so loved it.

Bluenewbie · 26/06/2015 13:35

afternoon ladies!
Flowers for all feeling not so great.

thank you goldmaple, I would go for private scan if I could afford it.
Luckily NHS ladies thought that it might be a good idea after of month of passing old blood to actually check what's going on with me and I've got my early scan tomorrow or Monday, yay! I really hope everything is fine though. I would be heartbroken if it turned out , there is no bean there..

hugs May, I think I know how you feel. Flowers I would love mine seeing me pregnant and being able to help me as well. miss her loads.. Sad

haquoi123 · 26/06/2015 13:55

Little heart beat! So relieved :) although now I'm 7 weeks, so no bad maths skills needed. They keep taking away my milestones! Also baby was wearing it's yolk sac on its head, fairly cute. 12 week scan booked for 3rd Aug!

haquoi123 · 26/06/2015 13:56

may and blue, hugs to you both x

Bluenewbie · 26/06/2015 13:58

Yay Haquoi !!! congratulations! so exciting!! :D Star

Raaaaaah · 26/06/2015 13:59

Hey all. I have been quiet, you guys haven't Wink.

I still feel pretty normal. A few moments of nausea but nothing outrageous. I have booked in for an early private scan late next week. We are only around for a couple of days of the window my nuchal scan can be done and my cycle can vary by a week so I want to get a better idea of dates.

I've not read all the old thread but i'm sorry for those who don't have Mum's around. My Mum is a stoic soul who expects the same from her children, so there would and will be very little tea and sympathy here. DP (fool) accidentally showed her a picture of a clear blue test (Dad completely missed the significance). Got a text from Mum after asking if we could confirm or deny ASAP so it didn't mess up holiday bookings! Ever practical Smile!

Raaaaaah · 26/06/2015 14:02

Congrats Haquoi. Fantastically sweet.

Could someone add my details to spreadsheet. I'm paranoid I will destroy it. I'm 37 expecting DC3 approx 14th Feb, live in london, nil symtoms apart from slightly sore boobs. Anything else?

Marsaday · 26/06/2015 14:05

Omg terrorist attack in France is only 5 mins away from my in-laws house. So Scary.
Rough day for me - was supervising intervention room and had to run out and be sick. Luckily kids were late so i was back when they showed up. Taught the next two periods feeling like i was going to faint. Sea sickness bands not as effective as i had hoped. Sad

clarabellski · 26/06/2015 14:13

Congratulations haquoi, today you are 7 weeks pregnant! Cake

Zookeeper73 · 26/06/2015 14:21

Fantastic news, Haquoi!

I too am sorry for those missing their mums.

We haven't told either of ours yet, it will be grandchild #11 for one and the 1st for the other.

Bluenewbie · 26/06/2015 14:28

thank you ladies for support. it means a lot Star

jellypi3 · 26/06/2015 14:29

We told both sets of parents. Well his parents my grandparents. My grandparents have 13 grandchildren and 4 great grand children and DP's parents don't have any so this will be number one. My grandparents were more excited that his parents!!

Bluenewbie · 26/06/2015 14:31

Raaaah you're in .

Raaaaaah · 26/06/2015 14:51

That kind of proximity is such a shock Mars.

Thank you very much Blue.

goldmaple · 26/06/2015 14:51

blue glad to hear about your early scan. After a month of spotting I'm glad they have stepped up.

haquoi congrats on the heartbeat!!

clara your mum sounds great! I'm staying with my mum right while DH is away! She is a huge help (but also no nonsense!)

1 week until my second scan. Feels like a long ways away. I feel sick though, and boobs are huge so I'm taking those as good signs.

StockingFullOfCoal · 26/06/2015 15:14

DH and I are considering a pass on the Downs tests. I wouldn't terminate for Downs. I wouldn't risk an amnio either and so would spend rest of my pregnancy winding myself up. Hmm.

Private scan tomorrow morning, booking appointment 2nd July. Nothing about 12 week NHS scan yet but we are booking a 16 week private scan so our DCs can come with us and have a gawp! No 3d/4d scans though, bleurgh.

OP posts:
haquoi123 · 26/06/2015 15:24

stocking we passed on the downs test last time and will do for this baby as well.

Thanks for all the congrats :)

IslaMann · 26/06/2015 15:50

Ok, so after advice from Purdie yesterday, and after a long chat with DH last night about my fears, we had a look at our finances and decided we can just about afford a private scan this month. (2 birthdays,a school reunion and a wedding had first dibs on our spends in July) So it's booked for Tuesday afternoon. Am very scared right now but figure it's better to know one way or another rather than continue stressing for the next month. Fingers crossed.

Great news Haquoi!
