I threw out a load of pregnancy clothes from seraphine, next, h&m etc after dc3 was born, literally in celebration of never having to wear them again think I jinxed myself on that one Confused even gave away baby things like Moses basket and play may etc. how expensive is it going to be to replace all that! Glad I'm a childminder though so another baby will not affect my work.

Babybrain how many weeks are you?

I don't know! I've had 3 bleeds since my miscarriage last of which was on 8th of this month which must have been a false one so not sure :-S my guess is anything from 4 weeks ( to get my BFP) and 9 weeks

Bosabosa · 26/06/2015 07:36

Take care babybrain!
Fox , I look normal size in the morning, 6 months gone in afternoon!!

raviolig · 26/06/2015 07:39

Morning everyone.
Sorry I have been absent a while, try to keep catching up but I just feel so tired all the time. Still only 6+1 so feels like I have got a long way to go.
This morning I woke up with really bad pains in the front lower part of my stomach. Could be stretching but it hurts to bend over or scrunch my knees to my chest. It doesn't feel like cramps, just a solid pain, but it is very strong. I have had a bad headache since yesterday too and run out of paracetamol.
I dug out my maternity clothes yesterday, and my SPd support belt. With dd I lost so much weight in the first 6 weeks from sickness I just stayed in my clothes the whole pregnancy. With ds towards the end I needed a few pairs of trousers. I have not had a proper bump with either though. I just look even fatter!
I was looking at prams yesterday. I got rid of everything after ds as we moved abroad so for this baby everything will be new. I saw a pram I love which is half price ATM. My husband said buy it if I want to but there is no way I am buying anything this early. Realised my booking in appointment is next week so I can get excited about that now. Not that I am expecting much , I just want the referal for the scan done ASAP.
Hope everyone has a good, not too nauseous, day today !

purdiepipesup · 26/06/2015 07:48

Abfab, if they are going to bellow 'keep it going, keep it going, keep it going!' it will be into the gaping abyss that is your vagina, not your face.

purdiepipesup · 26/06/2015 07:51

Yes, I would not be buying mat clothes before the 12wks either. I'm so glad I saved all mine. I have the most amazing winter mat coat from Mamalicious that mum bought me.

mumof3shockedtobecarrying4th · 26/06/2015 07:53

Raviolig, babybrain try and take it easy today ladies. No point in over exerting when it isn't necessary.
I'm hoping not to put any weight on in the first trimester, probably wishful thinking, but I had started to get my abs back from all the weight lifting I've been doing, only to find I'm pregnant again!

haquoi123 · 26/06/2015 08:30

Morning all! 7+7 today (does that make sense maths wise? 8 weeks tomorrow) and got my scan this morning. Too scared, so not getting out of bed desperate being desperate for a pee and thirsty. DH is leaving me to it in his 'Omg she's being weird again' way (gotta love him).

abfab my ideal labour is having one midwife sitting in the corner saying nothing while I'm squatting in a nice bath. Treat me like a cat please! Pah! Likelihood of that...

purdie you crack me up!

AbFab86 · 26/06/2015 08:31

Pfft face, vagina, same same.

AbFab86 · 26/06/2015 08:33

haquoi I like that idea! As long as she's not texting that's fine. Best of luck with your scan! Looking forward to hearing good news later.

StockingFullOfCoal · 26/06/2015 08:40

hacquoi my last labour was like that! MW was so unobtrusive, it was the consultant who came barrelling in demanding things, he got really cross when I wouldn't move so he could put a canula in my hand, (he was starting the csec prep due to BP) I was on my knees on the bed and at the point in labour moving was just beyond me, MW told him to stop complaining and drag the bed out as she wasn't going to make me move Grin and that if he made me sit down he wouldn't get the canula in anyway because I wouldn't be able to sit still due to the pain.

DH will be at all my appointments, whether they like it or not, he needs the reassurance. His sons birth was beyond traumatic: didn't realise he was breech till the last second, dragged her off for GA emcs, and left him in the corridor for an HOUR Angry with no update. Baby was in NICU with mild oxygen deprivation after being born blue Sad So they can shove that attitude, he needs to be with me.

7+3 today and the nausea has been setting in over the last few days...

im preparing dinner mid afternoon but by the time i get in from work at 8ish the sight and smell of it makes me Envy Envy Envy Envy

can i just ask a tmi question about nipples... me and dp have spent a good amount of time discussing them recently... They are almost square shaped! and kind of dimply on the top... and some like dimply hill things surrounding the nipple on the actual boob.... is this normal?!?!?!

(dont think ive ever said nipple so much on my life Grin )

haquoi123 · 26/06/2015 09:13

stocking, I like the sound of your midwife! I have a fear of hospital births due to obstetricians like yours! He sounds like an utter fuckwit. And your poor DH! That sounds truly traumatic. Yeah we've said that DH comes with me to all hospital appointments as I've had two losses without him so even the routine ones. I think if I could strap him to my side permanently for the next 7 months I would.

jellypi3 · 26/06/2015 09:26

Good luck Haqoi although wouldn't that make you 7+6 if you are 8 weeks tomorrow?

MayFlowers16 · 26/06/2015 09:27

I like the sound of your midwife too Stocking. I was made to sit on my 9+ lb baby's head (in the latter stages of labour, also being prepped for cs). They wanted me to tell them when I was 'in between' contractions and would therefore be able to sit still. Well, you've artificially broken my waters which has made my back-to-back baby descend right down, with no chance of turning now. Thanks to that and the drip you've hooked me up to I am now having one long continuous contraction. Stupid twunt.

purdiepipesup · 26/06/2015 09:30

Haquoi, if you're 8 wks tomorrow you're 7+6 today thicko Grin

When you come to write your pointless both plans, ladies, you will be able to request a non-bellowing, minimum banter birth. I didn't bother with a birth plan, but I was adamant that I didn't want banal inanities and tinkly laughing at irrelevant anecdotes when I was in labour. I can't stand smalltalk at the best of times.

I had eerily quiet midwives but one of them insisted on calling me Zoe (which is not my name) and so I got the ineffectual slag kicked out. She was only about 18, too.

purdiepipesup · 26/06/2015 09:31

*birth not both!

BananaRaces · 26/06/2015 09:42

Well after having a couple of days when I was (mildly) worried at having pretty much no symptoms at all I have woken up this morning from a crazy vivid dream with serious amounts of nausea and had to make DH not put cheese in his sandwiches because the cheddar smelt so bad!! Yay but also bleurgh! Grin

primary - is it your actual nipples which are squarish, or your areola??! I think I recognise the description of the "dimply hill things"!! If they are both the same then it is unlikely to be anything dodgy, but if you're worried go and flash your doctor. Wink

mumof3shockedtobecarrying4th · 26/06/2015 09:43

Each time I've been in labour the hospital I used was fantastic. I'm petrified now though as they've shut the maternity wing so I'm going to have to go to one of two hospitals that I wouldn't choose. Sad

mumof3shockedtobecarrying4th · 26/06/2015 09:44

Home birth isn't an option for me as I carry strepB.

Babybrain153 · 26/06/2015 09:49

My birthing plan will say NO EPIDURALS NO SPINALS, not looking forward to it, with my DD I had to get induced after my waters broke, she then went back to back n they tried 2 epidurals and 2 spinals all of which got put in the wrong place, ended in ECS with with LO having score of 4 and straight into special care n me having to have an op on my back a week later, they even had the cheek to tell me I had to wait til the following morning to meet her after I woke up (I had her at 4.15pm)

primarynoodle · 26/06/2015 10:04

banana having googled nipple vs arolea i can confirm it is the nipple that is square!!

my boob has also about tripled in size and after going down 2 cup sizes after losing 2.5 stone (til i got my bfp) i am now back to my original cup size but have thrown all my 'fat bras' away Angry Angry

primarynoodle · 26/06/2015 10:05
