Glad you're feeling better now Cheshire are you still being sick though?

We are going to find out the sex, I couldn't bear not knowing and being able to prepare things instead of going neutral!

Had a lot of uterus cramping today again. Don't like it Angry

Cheshirehello79 · 19/06/2015 21:02

@chops I've stopped being sick so that's good - tough wood still not 100 % but feel well better. I wasn't on any medication I just tried to stay hydrated ( thanks to watermelon ) cause that was all I could eat and plenty of rest.

Cheshirehello79 · 19/06/2015 21:07

Ohh talking about uterus ... I've been having these weird kind of fish bubble moments were my stomach will just make sounds like a didridou not sure if the poor beanster was crying feed me or just making bubbles bless the little avocado :-)

I'm determined not to find out and nursery is going to be colourful with greens and neutral .

Has anyone started thinking of nursery themes - p.s ordered my cot bed that was on offer mamas and papas couldn't resist the price was hoping for .

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 19/06/2015 21:14

Hello all.
Congrats on all the good scans.
My nausea seems to have died down but has now been replaced by horrendous constipation. I've tried everything Hmm
Back at work full time now

Withalittlesparkle · 20/06/2015 06:02

Cheshire fish bubble Sensations could be early movements Grin

As for nurseries, we won't do a theme as such but will pick a colour to stick too. Last time went for green (before we knew what it was) this time I'm drawn to a sort of mint colour as a base

MissMrsMummy · 20/06/2015 11:39

Hi all,

Lovely news on the scans and test results! My 12 week scan is coming up this week. I thought my EDD was 31 Dec but was told early Jan at my 8 week scan. I wonder if it will change again at this one?

sharon I'm also constipated! Don't think I'm getting enough water but the progesterone I'm taking doesn't help either. I can finish that after the scan though so maybe I'll be a bit better?

Are we all feeling a bit better? chops glad the sickness has worn off! such a relief. I had some uterus cramping I think yesterday. Scared me to death, I was on a real wobbler all day.

I'm staying here (no FB) too!

Have a good weekend. Anyone doing a Father's Day card from the bump? Grin

Ps I have designed the whole nursery lol going for neutral as we don't want to find out the gender. Wondering when we can start painting and filling it?!

DH says we can buy one tiny baby item after our scan like socks or a muslin to mark the occasions. Can't wait to legitimately go in a baby shop!

I didn't know about a Father's Day card off the alien (as we affectionately call it) might just squish it's name on along with the two kids cards

AmberLav · 20/06/2015 20:36

I forgot to put bump on the father's day card! I meant to, but completely forgot in the rush of getting the kids to do it this evening!

I'm a big fan of team neutral, as unless you know you are only having one child ever, it cuts back on the need to redecorate/buy new things! DS has moved from one room to another, and will probably move back to the first room when DC3 is born, and all the kiddies will have the same initial baby grows etc...

Cheshirehello79 · 21/06/2015 04:38

Well an early post as couldn't sleep after waking up 2am this morning and wide awake from then ( not good) anyways ... Took the time to have lovely cuppa and breadroll at 4am it's mad isn't it !

Took time to think about lots of other stuff including what's left to buy on my baby list and I must say I've done pretty well and have only got baby monitor which I'm going for Philips advent 580, travel system and nursing bra plus decorating baby's room.

Can't believe most of us are now 5 months pregnant and only 4 months to go. Only yesterday we were all congratulating each other on baby scans etc... Roll on December babies

P.s if there's any dads in here happy Father's Day from the bumps of December :-)

chopsface · 21/06/2015 13:09

I told my dh happy fathers day from bean but no way would I jinx things with a card! I was wondering whether to sign my own fathers day from 'bump' too but it didn't seem right either somehow...

Withalittlesparkle · 21/06/2015 14:17

Cheshire I'm only 4 months and due towards the beginning of December, 5 months sounds so lovely cus that's over half way

ineedsomeinspiration · 21/06/2015 18:12

This was ds nursery. It's still the same colours but now a it more of a mish mash of the things he likes as well (thomas and pirates). He'll have to share with this one and I think girl or boy the theme will still be ok.

Metalhead · 21/06/2015 20:35

cheshire I think you got your maths wrong there, it's still five months to go before we get to December! Still, I'm over a third of the way now at nearly 16 weeks.

Hope your cramps have settled down chops.

I only got DH a card from DD, for some reason it would never occur to me to put the bean on there, just seems wrong to me.

Consultant appt tomorrow to discuss my hcg levels, then 16 week midwife appt on Tuesday.

TerryTheGreenHorse · 21/06/2015 23:16

Good luck tomorrow metal, are they going to test your levels again to see what might have given such a high reading?

We had a lovely day though I am totally rubbish at crafts they made lovely cards at nursery for DP so that good me off the hook rather.

Withalittlesparkle · 21/06/2015 23:17

My DH had a card from DS and one from bump!

Cheshirehello79 · 21/06/2015 23:29

@metal excuse my baby brains I'm 16.5 weeks today so that makes me ehhhh... :-) you're right still not long to go now .. She says..

@ Ineeds nursery looks lovely .. We should all add pictures once we've decorated .. That sound like fun:-)

Hope you've all enjoyed Father's Day @ chops I agree with you card from the bump just didn't feel right :-( but for those who did it .. Happy days

Got my 16weeks appointment on wed - who knows what happens on that one ? Bloods again or just chat ?

Good luck to all those who have scans or tests this week :-)

Withalittlesparkle · 21/06/2015 23:39

Cheshire, from what I remember, the midwife will go through your bloods from you last appt, but shouldn't need to draw anymore. She'll have a chat, find out how you're getting on. Oh and ask for a wee sample, don't worry you get used to that!!

Ooooooh and if you're lucky you'll get to hear babys heartbeat (some do some don't) it's such a beautiful sound.

My 16 week appt is on Tuesday!! That's bonkers

Withalittlesparkle · 22/06/2015 08:07

There's quite a useful piece of info on the nhs website about standard midwife contact and what to expect at each one. I was quite surprised to find out as a second timer you don't have as much standard contact with a midwife as a first time does. I have 16 week appt and then not again until 28 weeks, seems like such a long time to go without checking up on baby

Cheshirehello79 · 22/06/2015 14:44

Thanks with a little sparkle - so this is where I get my blood tests results - I just hope all is ok and not had any results yet from neither my 12 weeks or 8 weeks appt. I'm not very good with needles and was dreading not another blood samples . Mines the same though in terms of appointment- I have one on wed and next one in 28 weeks but have my 20 weeks anomaly scan @ 20 weeks

Metalhead · 22/06/2015 16:20

I've just had another scan and spoke to a consultant about my abnormal hcg levels. She couldn't really give me an explanation for it either, but has booked me in for two additional growth scans at 28 and 34 weeks just to make sure baby is developing normally - exactly the result I was hoping for! Baby was certainly very active today, so everything's still looking good at the moment.

I also mentioned that I was going to ask the midwife tomorrow to refer me for consultant care as I want to have an elective C-section, and she said "I thought you might, looking at your notes", so hopefully I won't have to fight for it. All told, today has been a very good day! Smile

HatOnline · 22/06/2015 19:11

Hi all,
Just wondered if anyone else is having round ligament pain.
( I narrowly avoided hitting a granny with an overloaded trolley yday, ended up hitting curb with said trolley and it smashing into my belly. Didn't hurt much at time but I've got low aches when I use clutch in car (drive a lot for work) rang doc and was told no need to worry unless any bleeding or pain)
Soi guess this jabbing is just ligament pain.
Anyone else having similar?
Cheers x

Cheshirehello79 · 22/06/2015 20:41

@ metal that's ace news today hope all goes well with the consultant :-)

sparklez186 · 22/06/2015 21:57

Cheshire, my midwife said insomnia can be caused by hunger and recommended having a snack like crackers in the bedroom in case that's what stopping you getting back to sleep. The 16 week appointment might be when they listen to baby's heartbeat for the first time, have your phone ready to record :) I know they will have a listen at my next appointment, I'll be 17 weeks. Can't wait as I don't feel very pregnant at the moment, only cravings I have are for cake and sweets so not legitimate and not felt any definite movements yet which is driving me a bit potty as everyone says you'll feel sooner with subsequent babies.
Hat -yes I got ligament pain really early on when standing up from squatting and now it's getting more common, sometimes takes my breath away. I'm seeing a chiropractor which really helped last time so fingers crossed that'll keep it at bay a bit.

Cheshirehello79 · 22/06/2015 22:21

Thanks sparklez that might be right as I went off eating properly when wasn't well and I've still not regained my appetite. I'm going to see a dietician on wed hope they will recommend better ways of eating as I'm sure I'm not eating enough well I've lost weight for a start .

Looking forward to midwife appointment now though I'm going to be 17 weeks when I go so hope better sounds:-)

I've still got fish like bubbles effect at certain times of the day and at night - they are going off now as we speak but as I said not sure if baby is starved or signs of early movement . I'm scarred eating too much as I don't want to get too fat and don't believe eating for 2 neither. Will just have to wait till see midwife hopefully she can shed light. :-)
