Thanks ladies! And yes chops, we've still got all of DD's old clothes packed away in the attic.

bakingdiva · 17/06/2015 16:15

Congrats Metal, v glad it's good news

Withalittlesparkle · 17/06/2015 16:56

Congrats metal

Cariad2014 · 17/06/2015 17:22

Congratulations Metal such fabulous news - you must be over the moon.

We got our Harmony results yesterday, thankfully all low risk and we're having a boy!

sparklez186 · 17/06/2015 21:11

lovely news today, congratulations metal and cariad, one of each. Is everyone finding out gender or anyone staying team yellow? we didn't find out first time round but did second and hoping to this time, scan on 22nd july, not too long to wait

TerryTheGreenHorse · 17/06/2015 21:30

Great news cariad and metal, so pleased for you both.

Ive been following the thread but smashed my iPad screen to pieces a few weeks ago so hardly able to type, and it's the only thing I have with my password saved, so I haven't been able to post.

TheBabyFacedAssassin · 17/06/2015 22:15

Yay metal!!!!! Whoop so happy for you!

ChandlersFarang · 18/06/2015 03:51

Massive relief Metal, congrats! And congrats too to Cariad and orange!!

13+5 (maybe later if you agree with my scan..!) today and sporting the teensiest wee bump. Feeling almost normal now which is fab, aside from issues sitting at my desk too long due to pelvis ache!! Got a bit complacent this morning and didn't have breakfast immediately and ended up having an empty belly dry heave. I wonder if I might have that for the entire pregnancy? I was just dry heaving as I went about my business in the kitchen, couldn't even be arsed to go in the bathroom as nothing ever comes out (ha) - it's so standard now I barely bother acknowledging it. Obvs DH had already left for work, lol!! Not sure he'd have appreciated the sound effects GrinGrinGrinGrin

How many of us aren't on the FB group now? Is anyone definitely not joining? Will try to remember to keep checking in here if there's still folk around that I'm not chatting to elsewhere! Grin X x

Hummingbird15 · 18/06/2015 08:17

Ah metal I'm so pleased for you, and great they got your results so quickly for you. And congrats to cariad and orange too.

Metalhead · 18/06/2015 09:06

Thanks all, and great news for you too cariad!

I'm not joining FB chandler, I'm quite happy here Smile.

It's DD's 5th birthday today and I've had chocolate cake for breakfast! Feeling a bit sicky now though...

abi2790 · 18/06/2015 10:41

It's been ages since I last posted. I keep forgetting and just posting on fb!

I'm starting to feel much more like a normal person now except for the horrible back, hip pain. It's started to hurt whilst walking this morning so I'm assuming it's only going to get worse Sad

Hope you're all having a good/ stress-free morning. Ds is at nursery and I've done all the housework. However my hoover conked out yesterday on the day I had my new carpet fitted and the fitters left quite a lot of mess Angry. Dp has took it apart after I could smell burning from it and looks like the motor's burnt out. Not happy! It's not even 2 years old and wasn't cheap! Will look into getting it repaired today. Anyway, sorry for my hoover rant!

Is anyone suffering from really bad baby brain? I literally can't have a full conversation with dp without messing up my words haha! And somebody asked me ds' birthday the other day and my mind just went blank!

MileyWiley · 18/06/2015 10:58

Hadn't scan yesterday, all is well. So excited now. EDD Boxing Day, eeeek!

Jebel · 18/06/2015 12:05

Ah congrats cariad and metal such a relief, fantastic news.

Miley congrats on the scan!

ThreeBeanRap · 18/06/2015 12:32

Congratulations cariad Metal and miley, great news all round!

sparklez I'm team yellow! Not finding out, which is hard now people on here are starting to get answers, it kind of makes me want to know! But keeping it a surprise will be nice.

chandlers are you not going with your scan date? I thought that was the most 'official' one.

AmberLav · 18/06/2015 22:01

Yay on the great harmony results and scans!

I'm team yellow, have been so every time, though both times before my cravings/symptoms have followed gender tendencies from old wives tales, and I was right on my suspicions both times. Plus DS's 20 week scan picture showed a clear meat and two veg, so if you really don't want to know, ask from a scan picture that doesn't show the whole body! DD's 12 week scan showed a very obvious nub, and it was in the girl position... so it can be hard to stay fully team yellow! I have no idea this time, though I suspect a boy...

tammie49 · 18/06/2015 22:05

I've been a bit quiet recently. What's the Facebook group called?

TerryTheGreenHorse · 18/06/2015 23:39

I can never tell I have to ask, even though last time the sonographer said to me I normally say I can't guarantee it but this baby has the biggest scrotum I've ever seen, and I STILL couldn't tell.

But I am going find out.

It's a secret facebook group to make us unsearchable and private but if you PM afloat with your FB email address she can send you an invite, or send it me or I think sparkly? And we'll make sure your added.

WonkyDonkBonk · 19/06/2015 07:41

Terry I have pm'd you about adding me to the fb group. I couldn't find a post from afloat to message her from. I hope that's ok.

We are going to find out the sex this time. We didn't last time but DP wants to so I'm letting him have his way for once. I think its a girl Smile

Metalhead · 19/06/2015 08:21

Haha, I'm like you terry, with DD the sonographer said "see here? Clearly a girl" and I couldn't even tell where the legs were...

DH and I are off to the cinema tonight, don't know how I'll manage to stay awake though, I still get dreadful headaches every evening and am usually in bed by 9.30pm at the latest! But it's our only chance to go for a long time, so I'll just have to hope I get distracted enough by the film not to notice how yucky I feel.

chopsface · 19/06/2015 08:34

Me and dh haven't been out for months! Well not since our holiday when I was 7 weeks! Said we could go out for carvery on Sunday if I was feeling up to it. Not fair that they should suffer is it? Have a nice trip to the cinema metal!

Congrats on the scan miley!

My sickness spell has either gone or is being successfully controlled by the pills. Too scared to stop the pills to see! Though will have to wean off eventually to see. I think after a week it's too early though! Crap nights sleep last night, feel shattered now :-(

afloat · 19/06/2015 12:02

Hi all, happy to hear the good scan news, and sorry for chops, metal and others who are still feeling symptoms. Sorry for not sticking around here too much, I've been so busy and FB is easier for me to participate in! I'm adding anyone who PMs me to the group

chopsface · 19/06/2015 18:40

Just remembered, it's father's day on Sunday. The pub will be packed! Will have to scrap carvery on Sunday. Poor dh :-(

Cheshirehello79 · 19/06/2015 19:42

I'm back feeling a bit better after some sort of hell on earth ... Just need to pass these few headache episodes and happy days.

What did I miss ... P.s I won't be joking fb as I'm happy here .. Well I'm not on fb so ...

After being sick couple of days not sure if I've lost a lot of weight cause now you can clearly see the bump which is lovely.

Got my 16 weeks midwife appointment on wed hope that goes ok I started to think. Time flies

So 20 weeks anomaly scan on the 15th July but not finding out sex. Has everyone in here made up their minds if they are going to have a surprise of defo find out?

Metal@ fantastic news happy for you :-)

.

TerryTheGreenHorse · 19/06/2015 19:50

Sorry so many people have been feeling rough, ive picked up no end of bugs and colds, your immunity is shot to pieces when your pregnant.

Here's hoping the second trimester is kinder to us all!

ineedsomeinspiration · 19/06/2015 20:16

Hi all, just been catching up. So pleased to hear your news metal.
We are planning on finding out although ds didn't want to share so we didn't with him. I'm having two growth scans as well as 20 weeks scan so I'm sure we'll be able to see at one of them.
poor ds has tonsillitis so has not been sleeping therefore neither have . i now have a really sore throat that feels like when i used to get it except i don't have tonsils anymore.
