First time yesterday felt twitching and knew that was baby moving - stroked twitching area and the area bulge . Couldn't tell which organ it was but was such an amazing feeling.

pizzakat · 27/08/2015 15:30

Cheshirehello79 · 27/08/2015 16:03

Hi pizza welcome to club December . I'm due 3rd dec as well:-)

Tell us more about you - where have you been hiding and how's your pregnancy been ?

SnozzberryPie · 27/08/2015 16:40

Welcome pizzakat! I'm also due 3rd dec.

This thread has gone very quiet, has everyone been locked out of mn?

How is everyone? I'm tired out and dreading the third trimester!

MarkingMyPlace9 · 27/08/2015 16:43

Hi Pizzakat Loving the name! Think there's always more going on on the FB Group

blueskygreengrass · 27/08/2015 22:14

Welcome aboard, pizza and emgreen. Snozz I was locked out for a while because of the hack Angry

I had a bit of a scare on Monday night and went to hospital. Felt really faint (which isn't that unusual for me), blurred vision, but the worrying thing was I began to lose words i.e. tried to text DH to tell him, but could barely string a sentence together. Blood sugar was low, although I'd been eating properly and iron was really low. I've gone from 123 points at booking appointment, to 108 now - and they want minimum of 111. So, DH has now nicknamed me Popeye whilst I munch through high-iron foods. Got my next MW appt on Tuesday and going to ask about taking an extra iron supplement (even though I already take a pregnancy vitamin).

Does anyone know how much weight we're meant to put on? I'm 24+4.
My mum was anemic with my younger sister and didn't put on quite a stone, which left her really weak after the birth. My understanding of what happened on Monday is that Mrs Pac-Man in there is consuming faster than I'm eating, and that I need to step it up (even if I'm not hungry).

blueskygreengrass · 27/08/2015 22:17

P.S I'd like to join the FB group too! How do I do this? x

blueskygreengrass · 27/08/2015 22:18

P.P.S Bad cramps continuing Sad. Swimming helps, although I've attracted a flirty lifeguard!

Cheshirehello79 · 28/08/2015 09:40

Well talking about weight I think my belly has now officially taken over and I'm starting to struggle seeing my bits (tmi) anyone seen naughty professor haha ...

I'm getting tired and sometime breathless day by day - everything seems to be a task now a days.

I'm thirsty all the time though I think the ways baby is positioned don't need wee all the time yet( touch wood - let's keep it that way)

26+1 ...... Soon .... Hello third trimester.

I've decided finishing work at 35 weeks if all goes to plan as my job involves lots of travelling - can't see myself managing that for long.

I've started getting these weird bad back aches when I'm lying certain position though got support pillows. Any one been having them or any recommendations?

chopsface · 28/08/2015 12:54

I'll write later as my lunch break is over. bluesky the link to the Facebook page is with me! I'll pm you x

SnozzberryPie · 28/08/2015 22:51

Bluesky I was anaemic in my last pregnancy so this time I am taking floradix. The iron tablets you get on prescription made me horribly constipated.

chopsface · 29/08/2015 07:56

Welcome pizza! Congratulations on your pregnancy!

When does the third trimester start anyway? I'm glad time is speeding up now!

I've not been weighing myself very often anymore but I know my belly suddenly seems to have grown loads! And getting comments at work... Finding it harder to put my socks on! I keep thinking "omg if I'm starting to struggle now what am I going to be like in 5, 10 weeks time?!".

I've put down to start maternity at 39 weeks and take my 3 1/2 weeks remaining annual leave beforehand. Obviously if baby comes pre 39 weeks they start my maternity then. I was told by one of the older ladies in work than in 'her day' ladies left work 6 weeks before due date and that was the done thing. 6 weeks! Well lucky them.

Cheshirehello79 · 29/08/2015 08:50

Third trimester is from week 28- 40 chops :-)

Metalhead · 29/08/2015 20:01

Hi all, sorry I've been absent for a while, what with the whole hacking thing I thought I'd wait a while for things to calm down before changing my password.

chops I only just managed to paint my toe nails on Thursday and yesterday trying to put some strappy sandals on was quite a task too! Was at a wedding yesterday and met a girl who was 35 weeks, kind of reminded me how much bigger my bump is still going to get.

I'm going to take 3 weeks annual leave before my ML starts as well which means I'll finish work at 35 weeks. It can't come soon enough tbh, as I'm getting more and more uncomfortable sitting down at my desk for long periods.

And it looks like poor DH is not likely to see any bedroom action again until after this baby is out as I'm already really swollen down below... last time this didn't happen until much nearer the end! Blush

chopsface · 29/08/2015 21:49

metal is swollen foof a normal thing?! I was a bit concerned yesterday as I had to walk a bit bow legged Blush

Metalhead · 30/08/2015 09:17

One of those glamorous side effects you never even dreamed about chops! Like piles... I think it's due to the same thing, i.e. bigger blood volume and the weight of your uterus & baby pressing down.

LouiseGriffiths08 · 30/08/2015 10:46

Hi everyone, and thank you to chopsface for inviting me to this group. I'm due 19th December with my first. Very excited and a bit terrified too! We've just moved house so am just starting to think about what to buy and where to put it! Also a wee bit concerned as my bump still looks really quite small even though I'm 24 weeks! Have midwife apoontment this coming week though, so hoping all will be well. Apart from that just feeling a bit tired and uncomfortable sleeping at night! Looking forward to hearing everyone else's experiences. Lou x

chopsface · 30/08/2015 13:00

Welcome lou!

I'm due Dec 14th with my first. I was worried about the size of my bump until the last week or so when I suddenly look massively preggo and wish I was smaller again! None of my coats do up and I have nothing to wear for the autumn and winter! Shopping spree needed I think. We are going on hol next week and I'm predicting wet weather! I've been wearing dh's waterproof coat last week but he'll need it himself if we are going out walking etc.

LouiseGriffiths08 · 30/08/2015 16:06

Thanks, to be fair I am already on clothes a couple of sizes bigger than normal and I think in the morning the bump looks considerably smaller compared to night-time. Have a family wedding in a couple of weeks, no idea what I'm going to wear! Think will wait for a couple more weeks as I'll probably grow a bit more by then! It's difficult to find clothes that are both flattering and still show that I have a bit of a bump! x

Cheshirehello79 · 30/08/2015 21:17

Welcome Lou:-) up to my 25 week midwife appointment my bump was not that big compared to others same weeks that I've seen but for some weird reason a week after and now the bump has just popped out. I'm still on my normal clothes as maternity wear still don't fit well and at moment I've only got 3 normal lose outfit that I'm hanging on.

Chops my feet have started swelling as well though trying massaging and stretching. I'm just shattered all the time now :-( don't know what it's going to be like another 6 weeks to come ouch !

chopsface · 30/08/2015 22:03

Cheshire I just looked back to see where the swollen feet thing came from.... I said swollen foof! My vag was puffy! Sorry to hear about your swollen feet hun! Blush

I wore my first maternity t shirt on Wednesday or something?! Been in maternity jeans since about 16/17 weeks but normal loose tops. And now suddenly everything is tight!
