25 weeks today ladies and must say feeling much better and more energy in me.

Went mw appointment today in which I got my matb 1 and listened to beanster's heart beat. If you think going for scan is magic wait till when you hear the little ones heart beat . It was magical - overwhelming and emotional. It was very realllll .

Beanster Heart beat and urine sample were all ok as they checked for protein in urine and raised my concerns re not being well so going again 28 weeks and getting bloods taken then.

Can't believe 15 weeks to go. :-)

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 20/08/2015 17:41

I've heard babies heartbeat three times already (not even had 25 week appt) but don't think it's a patch on seeing baby on screen!!

Cheshirehello79 · 20/08/2015 17:50

That's good Sharon- it was my first time today and though scans are magical I wish they had sounds well I've had 4 scans so far and not heard heart beat till today. :-)

chopsface · 20/08/2015 18:37

I've heard heart beat twice now. At early 8week scan, and today! Had a bit of a scare today Sad severe pain in my tummy this morning. So severe that I just had to lie on the floor, dripping with sweat and on the verge of passing out. Had to call myself an ambulance! The pain had subsided by the time the paramedics arrived and all my tests and checks were fine. The ambulance then took me to the on call GP at my surgery who checked baby's heartbeat and my uterus etc. All fine. Felt wiped out rest of the day after my ordeal.

Glad you're feeling better now Cheshire x

emgreen87 · 20/08/2015 18:42

Cheshirehello79 · 20/08/2015 18:59

Oh chops ! Hope you're ok - great that everything is fine with beanie and all checks were ok . What a scare . Just relax and look after yourself xx

Welcome emg green :-)

chopsface · 20/08/2015 19:13

Hi em! You have the same due date as me Grin tell us more about yourself. Is this your first? Have you suffered with sickness? Anything really Grin

SnozzberryPie · 20/08/2015 21:33

Hope you're OK chops Flowers

Cheshire I have a home Doppler, got it on eBay last time I was pregnant for about 20 quid. Dp has used it to record the baby's heartbeat too.

I had my 25 week appointment today; everything was fine and my blood pressure is behaving itself for now.

mrsdiddlydoo · 20/08/2015 21:40

chops hoping your feeling a bit better now. Rest up plenty!

em you're due a few days before me (17th). Hope your pregnancy has been kind to you

I saw the consultant today. Always leaves me feeling flat. Just keeping an eye on me because I have a low bmi I think. 2 weeks till my next mw appt. She's lovely. Can't wait. Anyone else feeling a bit anxious about giving birth...

Cheshirehello79 · 20/08/2015 21:50

Mrs didd I'm more than anxious especially knowing that I've now gone past the mile stone and what ever happens I will have to deliver the baby - that scares me. I'm organised and well prepared for the arrival but not at all prepared as to what is going to happen at birth! I've stopped reading about it too as I just get anxious and start worrying myself to bits.

Cheshirehello79 · 20/08/2015 21:53

P.s - has everyone got a Doppler ? Is it something that people have at home or not necessary ?

SnozzberryPie · 20/08/2015 22:30

It's not necessary but nice to have if you like hearing the heartbeat. Like this one:
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Baby-Fetal-Doppler-Angel-Sound-Heart-Monitor-Portable-Angelsounds-Detector-gel-/171627215341

It's not as easy to find the heartbeat yourself so if you do get one, don't panic if it takes a while to find it.

SnozzberryPie · 20/08/2015 22:33

PS try not to worry about the birth, people's experiences vary so much, and even if it isn't great it's only a very short time.

Cheshirehello79 · 20/08/2015 22:49

Thanks snooz I'll look into that :-)

mrsdiddlydoo · 21/08/2015 07:54

No Doppler here. Think if you can't find the HB it can make you more worried, although I know some get on with them ok. It's not something people have as standard.

SnozzberryPie · 21/08/2015 10:04

Yes that's true Mrs, if you tend to get anxious then it might be a bad idea, if you think you might panic if you can't find the heartbeat. The home ones aren't as powerful as the one the midwife has, plus you won't be as skilled at finding it.

Dp felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday Smile

sharonthewaspandthewineywall · 21/08/2015 11:59

can someone give me the link to the facebook page as i will be de registering from mumsnet due to some downright nastiness on other parts of the forum and the continual crap security and hacking on here lately.

chopsface · 21/08/2015 12:27

It's secret Sharon so you can only be added by someone in the group. I can get you in Wink pm me your name and what your profile picture looks like and I'll add you as a friend and then add you to the group
