I've had very sore boobs, and had to stop wearing a few of my wired bras that were already digging in and left me a blood blister under the skin yesterday! Dug out my old non wired feeding bra and was so much more comfortable today. Very very tired, keep yawning through work and noddin. Off on the sofa. Also very dry hands - is that a symptom?!

We said we weren't going to tell anyone but have now told: DS, parents, brothers and sisters, close neighbours who guessed as I wasn't drinking with them, my boss, close friends at work and 2 friends outside work. The list keeps growing!!

CarrotVan · 30/04/2015 20:23

Non alcoholic Erdinger beer is surprisingly nice if anyone is trying to hide the fact they aren't drinking

I have horribly dry hands too

bearchomp · 30/04/2015 20:28

haha mummyofone I was like that with my DS - I told everyone I saw that I was pregnant!

We are trying to keep it quiet for a couple of reasons, but I won't bore anyone with why.
Sat eating ds's Christmas chocolate (yes he still has some! ) - hope he won't mind as he has sooo much.

mrsfazruns · 30/04/2015 20:46

I'm the same wouldleavehome .... I had MMC is dec and my symptoms were so obvious from really early .... Aching boobs all the time/nausea/bloating but this time all I have is sight nausea and a little fatigue and convinced that's me imagining it!! It's horrible .... One minute excited .... Next minute knicker checking and scared of losing again!!!

Embolio · 30/04/2015 21:16

Not told anyone except dh yet as i still don't really feel convinced it's really happening. AF was due today - got another very faint line on Asda test but cb digital test negative. It took me a week or so to get a positive result with ds2 though so haven't completely lost hope. Feel very tired and have been nauseous at times (mildly) but that's about it, boobs a bit tender but I nearly feel that I could be imagining it! My head is wrecked Confused

CarrotVan · 30/04/2015 21:54

That's tough embolio - fx for a good strong result soon

impatientlywaiting · 01/05/2015 00:13

Hi all, I'm tentatively joining in here. Just coming to terms with a positive test this morning, it was unplanned. DS turns 1 tomorrow (well officially today now it's past midnight) and we didn't have any plans for number 2 for another year or so. Bit of a mix of emotions but it's been lovely reading through this thread (apart from Probably's sad news)and getting excited at the idea of another baby coming along in January.

EDD is 5th Jan, but I think it's actually a bit later.

coffeenut · 01/05/2015 02:54

this early stage is hard isn't it?
I feel a bit better now that my official af due date has passed - thats the prob with testing positive a week in advance of af!

We havent told anyone at all. DH wants to wait until 8 weeks to tell close family - not sure I can hang out that long. A friend today told me that she is pregnant with twins and I almost said I'm preg too but just thought four weeks might be a little early!!!

mrsfazruns · 01/05/2015 05:56

I agree coffenut ..... I'm a POAS mad at the minute .... Did 4 yesterday just to be sure!!!!!! AF due date is saturday so praying it goes past uneventful!!!

CarrotVan · 01/05/2015 07:44

I am officially one day late so tested with a CB Plus - still pregnant.

I've got one CB digital left just in case.

And I've just packed up the big job of unused stuff from the CB research trial to send back to them.

OrangeBeehive · 01/05/2015 08:03

Hi everyone, can I join? 4+6 with first baby, EDD 2nd Jan. Got a very faint BFP last Thursday at 11DPO, followed by a very strong positive on Tuesday at 16DPO! Haven't taken any tests since then or bought a digi as trying to relax and not think about it too much. Should I have bought a digi?

I have hardly any symptoms which is a bit unnerving...no nausea, not really that tired despite sleeping quite badly at night (restless legs have got a lot worse plus need to wee more!). The only symptoms I've had are sore, full boobs, but they're not too painful, and mild cramps / twinges which feel a bit like pulling or period pain. There's been a couple of sharp ones but no bleeding or spotting. Is it normal to not have many symptoms at this stage?!

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 08:22

Carrot Lovely that you get to send the CB stuff back - My consolation prize of ov sticks arrived just before my BFP so didn't get to use them!

Orange I think a few of us don't have many symptoms here, congratulations by the way!!

It was one week ago that I got my BFP - I already feel like I have been pregnant for a very long time! I am going to test again at the weekend I think. I have got 1 more CB digital - not sure when to use it, on Monday it said 1-2 weeks when I was 4 +1, I want to try to wait and see a 3+ on it! But I have read they are not very accurate so don't want to panic too much over it.

loveulotslikejellytots · 01/05/2015 08:44

I've not got much in the way of symptoms either. Slightly achy boobs, I've had tingly nips though Grin sorry if that's TMI!

Had slight nausea, but no actual sickness, which I am very grateful for as my Sister had HG, which was so awful for her.

I'm dying to tell people, but I'm glad we've decided to wait a bit longer. We've agreed to tell the in laws and my parents together at about 8 weeks, so only 4 ish weeks to wait! My mum is coming to stay next Thursday and we're out all day Friday together, it'll be really hard not to tell her!

I'm really looking forward to telling my MIL, she has been desperate for grandchildren since we got married 5 years ago! I'm half expecting her to pass out Grin

OrangeBeehive · 01/05/2015 08:52

Thank you Mummy, congrats to you too! That's reassuring. I think part of the reason why I haven't taken any more tests or a Digi is because I'm scared about the results...sort of figure what will be will be and as long as I'm not bleeding that's a good sign. I conceived on our 7th cycle TTC, I know that's not long compared to some but it all seems a bit hard to believe right now. Haven't even made a doctors appointment yet, planning on going at 6 weeks - hoping I get some more symptoms between now and then!

CarrotVan · 01/05/2015 09:08

CB tests date from ovulation and the midwives date from the start of your last period so for a standard 28 day cycle you can add 2 weeks to whatever the CB digital says.

I've just rung the community midwives - I'm glad I did as it takes 7-10 days for them to send the booking in appointment date and then it's a similar wait until the actual appointment. Very different from last time when I rang and got the appointment over the phone.

crumble74 · 01/05/2015 09:31

Hi all, quietly joining in too, congrats on all your BFPs! EDD is 2/1/16.
I tested on Monday after some suspicion, 2-3wks on CB Digi.
I have an almost 10month old DS but I had an MMC at 10 weeks before we had him & another MC as well so I know it's early days. Fingers crossed x
I tend to stick to decaf now but last time by the 3rd trimester I was hooked on mocha frappuccinos! Smile

crumble74 · 01/05/2015 09:38

CarrotVan
I second the Erdinger non-alcoholic option. I went to Munich last year & tried some lovely fruity non-alcoholic varieties.

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 09:39

congratulations crumble! I am on decaf too, just ordered some decaf tea for home and drink decaf coffee orhot water at work.

I fell pregnant on cycle 3 but was temping and they were so flat and rubbish that I had decided I must have secondary infertility with progresterone problems so I was in a bit of shock too!!

coffeenut · 01/05/2015 09:53

broken thermometer mum?!

carrot sorry to hear about all of your sad family news xx

welcome crumble and orange Smile

Mummyofonesofar · 01/05/2015 09:55

It is possibgle coffee but the first month it showed a good shift then second month they were rocky but was very stressed and ov'd 10 days late and then third month there was a shift bu it was so small! and my pre ov temps were higher that month too. Not sure if it was broken but it seems to have done the job!

bearchomp · 01/05/2015 11:11

Congrats orange and crumble

When I was pregnant with ds, I sat in front of the midwife at 4wks and I said I didn't feel any different and she told me I may regret that. Sure as shit 6wks arrived and BAM, nausea, sickness and tiredness kicked right in! Hmm
At the moment I'm feeling slight nausea and full boobs but nothing else. Would be quite happy with that for next 9mthsGrin
I got a cb digital 1 -2 on Sunday and a 2-3 on Weds which makes my dates seem about right.

crumble74 · 01/05/2015 11:34

Thanks everyone & congrats to you all!

bearchomp you are right of course it can all change but at the moment I don't even have the sore boobs, I only feel colder than normal, might have to break out the last CB Digi at the weekend to check it's all still there...

bearchomp · 01/05/2015 13:04

crumble nothing wrong with wanting to check, I POAS every day for about 2 weeks with my first!
Being soooo cold was another of my symptoms - I just couldn't get warm

mrsfazruns · 01/05/2015 13:31

At work today and want to shout from the rooftops!!! But instead did my 4th (or maybe it was my 8th) POAS just to make sure its real x

loveulotslikejellytots · 01/05/2015 14:23

I'm glad I came here. I feel the same as you all, it's nice to know I'm not alone!

I have a question. We are seeing friends at the weekend, we go away with them on NEwYears day every year, just up to London. Those of you that are on number 2+ would you go? By then I will be 39 weeks. DH will drive us from home (Kent) to London, about an hour from where we live, we usually have a walk around winter wonderland have some dinner etc. I could tone down the walking part depending on how I'm feeling. Then an hour drive home the following day. Would you consider it? Our friends will want to book the hotel in the next couple of weeks to get a good price, it's usually non refundable but I'm going to pay more for a room I can cancel. I just have a feeling by the time it comes round I'll want to stay at home.
