Mummy- is that a challenge? I think I could do that in revels alone! Grin

Are you in parts foreign then, coffee?

For those needing to reduce caffeine remember caffeine withdrawal causes headaches and makes you feel awful so better to taper it off than just stop.

#1 son has a bug with a high temperature so I am double knackered

teaandCake fabulous news!! Well done and congrats - yes please join us Smile

I'm a bit anti-decaf ... bit worried about the chemicals. I do need to cut down though - will find some water decaffeinated stuff. I sometimes drink Caro (which is like pretend coffee made from cereal so not caffeinated) .. to be honest without any caffeine, I think I would fall in a heap.

Yep carrot I'm in oz now. I had DD1 in London and joined mumsnet then. Your poor ds1 - hope he feels better soon. I hope you dont get it either. How many DC do you have, I forget?

Hi everyone please can I join? Just taken a FRER and CBdigi (like to be sure) and estimate I am about 3-4 weeks pregnant due around 10/1/2016 Blush. I wish I could be more certain but due to fertility problems I haven't had a natural cycle for more than 15 years, only testing to check at the end of the month. This will be DC2. Here's to a healthy and happy pregnancy for all.

Just the one coffee, he just turned 2. He's fine in himself as long as we keep up the painkillers so it might just be teeth. Although 39.2 seems awfully hot for teeth.

Welcome and congratulations to everyone new

I had a tiny bit of brown spotting yesterday. I'm assuming it's nothing, maybe the placenta burrowing in?

Aw well I'm out this time, looks like a chemical pregnancy for me. Sad but I kind of suspected when my lines didn't get darker and mentally prepared myself. Wishing you all asafe and uneventful 8 months Flowers

Morning all and thanks for the congrats. We are over the moon but also a bit sceptical, it's hard to believe it's true. Think I'll feel happier when I've seen the doctor - does anyone know what happens at that appt? Do they just confirm it and refer to the midwife? Carrot I've had tiny tiny bits of brown spotting on and off since my period should have been due and still positive tests so I'm fighting it's nothing to worry about although I can't really help it!

embolio so sorry to hear that xx

tea my appointment was pointless, just said I shouldn't smoke (which I don't) or drink (which I wasn't) and eat healthily (which I do) then gave me the number for the midwife - didn't refer me herself or offer me a test at the surgery!

Report
CarrotVan · 03/05/2015 08:34

I just self referred to the midwives this time. You might be able to do the same by getting the phone number from the GP surgery. With my first I saw the GP who looked nonplussed, asked if I was happy (I guess otherwise he'd have counselled about my options), congratulated me and gave me the number for the midwives. He said GPs don't really get involved unless there are pre-existing conditions and medications that might need adjusting.

The midwives didn't test me either although they did take blood for other purposes. You could easily get to your 12 week scan with no-one checking you're actually pregnant

Looks like I'll be buying another test then! Just to check ?? I think I'd be happier if I was being sick as at least I would have some proof (I do know I will live to regret saying that! )

Morning sickness often doesn't kick in until the placenta takes over supporting the baby - 6-8 weeks. With my first I only threw up twice

Report
coffeenut · 03/05/2015 09:59

sorry embolio Sad I hope you get a sticky bfp soon xx

39.2 is high for teething carrot, probably has a mild virus as well?

I keep thinking that teaandcake91! But then I think in a few weeks I might regret saying that! Grin

So far just a bit queasy, that comes and goes during the day. I've been more tired than usual but then I can't sleep very well. Not sure why but I'm finding my bed really uncomfortable. I might go into the spare room tonight and see if having the whole bed to myself makes a difference!

Sorry Embolio that's awful news Sad. Mrsfaz my only symptoms so far are nausea, vomiting and exhaustion, unfortunately the meds I'm taking treat the infertility problem have the same side effects, everything just seems to be increasing by the day Blush. Looking back I started vomiting at 4+1 with DS and didn't stop until 40+6 when he was born! Currently crossing everything that it's better this time, all I did last pg was work, sleep and cry, and I have DS to think about this time. Hope everyone else is doing well.
